The Apostle Paul's radical transformation from a persecutor of the church to a passionate messenger of Christ illustrates the power of a life redirected by grace. Paul writes to the Colossians to coach them on remaining unified and focused on their mission. He reminds believers that their true identity is set apart in Christ. How can we develop a coachable spirit that is ready to grow and serve those in need? Remembering your identity, reflecting on God's faithfulness, and embracing lifelong transformation can help your community thrive.
As believers, Missions is not just something we do, it's who we are. We live on mission because we emulate Jesus. This series reminds us the purpose of outreach and missions but also helps us to see how God is working in and through Bethany and our mission partners. Text: Acts 6:1-7Come visit us in person! Summer is not a break from God's mission but an opportunity to live as people sent by Jesus. As we go to parks, parties, playdates, restaurants, and neighborhood gatherings, we can intentionally love, serve, share the gospel, and make disciples by the power of the Holy Spirit. Family Ministry Pastor Jimmy Hutson shares a message on mission, and the invitation is simple: love God, love people, make disciples, and approach every place you go as a missionary sent by Jesus.

In this concluding message of Matthew 13, Pastor Karl unpacks the final three parables of Jesus — the Hidden Treasure, the Pearl of Great Price, and the Net — and challenges the common interpretations most of us have grown up hearing.Rather than reading these parables through a modern American lens, Pastor Karl takes us back into a first-century Jewish mindset to uncover what Jesus was really communicating. The treasure hidden in the field isn't something we purchase with our devotion — it's a picture of Jesus himself, who in joy gave everything to redeem his chosen people. The pearl of great price wasn't a treasure to the Jews at all, which is exactly the point: Jesus was revealing the shocking mystery that Gentiles — the unclean, the outsiders — would be included in the kingdom of God. And the parable of the net reminds us that not all roads lead to heaven, and that a day of separation is coming.Pastor Karl also draws a striking connection to the book of Ruth, showing how Boaz purchasing the field to gain Ruth as his bride foreshadowed what Jesus would do for his people — buying the field to possess the treasure within it.The message closes with one of the hardest passages for any pastor to preach at his own church: Jesus returning to his hometown, only to be met with familiarity and low expectation. The takeaway is pointed — low expectation limits reception. The messenger can be overlooked, but the message cannot: God chose to treasure you, not because of anything you offered, but because of the price his Son was willing to pay.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 8:00am, 9:30am & 11:00am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

In this special live recording from the N.C. Baptist Annual Meeting, episode host Aaron Wallace talks with Global Missions Coordinator Janet Packard and Pastor Neal Thornton about why caring for missionaries is part of the core identity of a Great Commission church. With more than 500 IMB missionaries from North Carolina alone, the opportunity to support them is vast and fruitful. This conversation explores what happens when churches take missionary care seriously. Janet Packard, N.C. Baptists' new global missions coordinator, highlights the value of starting with a missions assessment, a simple tool that helps churches identify how to build relationships with missionaries and engage strategically in the Great Commission. Neal Thorton, church planter and pastor of Coram Deo Baptist Church in Raleigh, shares why caring for missionaries enriches the entire church, creating a culture of “one another” compassion and helping believers see their Bibles and communities through a missionary lens. The conversation points to practical first steps, from praying for missionaries to reading biographies to forming long-term friendships with those serving overseas. Listen in to hear how N.C. Baptist churches can link arms with the hundreds of missionaries from North Carolina who need ongoing care, prayer and partnership.

In this message, we look at what it truly means to be A Church on Mission. Using the story of Nehemiah, we uncover how God rebuilds, restores, and multiplies His work through ordinary people who refuse to stay comfortable while others remain broken. This is more than personal calling, it's a collective movement. When each of us picks up our “brick,” God uses our unity, compassion, obedience, and sacrifice to create strength, stability, and expansion for generations. Discover why mission starts with a broken heart, grows through multiplication, and moves forward when we build today because tomorrow matters.

In this cultural moment, we sense a growing clarity about what God is doing. He continues His unchanging mission — seeking and saving the lost — but now, His people are becoming aware and ready to join Him. Let's lean in with open hands and willing hearts, praying for where He might lead us next. When we say yes to the Great Commission, we step into the greatest adventure — following the greatest God making disciples of all nations. We're honored to welcome our ministry partners, Alex and Millie Ojera, as they bring a message on the mission of Christ. We're excited for their voice and perspective to help illuminate where God might be calling us to go next.

Are we truly listening to God's call to 'come over and help'?This engaging message from Jason Holdridge challenges us to step out of our comfort zones and into the world where people are crying out for assistance. The central story from Acts 16:9-10 shows Paul receiving a vision to go to Macedonia, immediately seeking to obey. This narrative serves as a metaphor for our own lives - how often do we hear God's prompting and act without hesitation? The message emphasizes that outreach isn't just about inviting people to church, but about going to where they are, meeting their needs first, and then introducing them to Jesus. It's a call to be the hands and feet of Christ in our communities and beyond. We're encouraged to take risks, to be opportunistic in sharing God's love, and to view every interaction as a potential divine appointment. This challenges us to live our faith boldly, to be a welcoming presence, and to see the world through God's eyes of compassion and urgency.Website: https://impact.churchInstagram: https://instagram.com/impactchurchhomeFacebook: https://facebook.com/impactchurchhome
"The Church on Mission" (Luke 10:1-3)
Matt Mann, missionary to Botswana and now South Africa, shares how God has been growing his church in Africa. Matt shares the power of the local church and how powerful it is when the local church is on mission with God.
We are a missionary Church and it is not good enough to sit idly in our pew and relish in the grace we receive at Mass. We are, each of us, called to go and make disciples. And, our mission field may be as close as our work, our grocery store, our community, and even our own home.
