Men, when is your next Day One?It doesn't have to wait until Monday. It doesn't have to wait until you feel ready. The real power is in the choice — the moment you decide that who you are today does not have to be who you are tomorrow. In this powerful episode, I share the lesson I learned coaching high school football about “Placing a Demand on History,” and how making one clear choice restores your authority as a husband, father, and leader.Your legacy is built by the man you choose to become starting today. This episode is part of the Legacy Roadmap series and connects directly to Episode 404 (Guarding Your Quiet Dialogue) and Episode 405 (I Get To vs I Have To).If you're ready to stop waiting and start building with intention, this one is for you.Key Takeaways:• The power of your life is activated by choice, not by perfect conditions.• When you choose to become a new man, you restore your authority as a husband, father, and leader.• Legacy is built by daily decisions, not by waiting for the “right time.”• Your Next Day One begins the moment you make the choice — not when you feel ready.• This choice must be made daily, especially when life feels heavy or old patterns try to return.• Who you are becoming is more important than who you have been.• Placing a demand on history starts with the daily decision to show up as the man you're becoming.YOUR NEXT STEPS - This week, I want you to make a clear, intentional choice. Not a feeling. Not a hope. A choice.Decide right now that you are becoming a new man in one specific area of your life. Write it down. Say it out loud. Tell a brother. Then take one action today that proves you made the choice.Because the power is not in waiting for transformation to feel good. The power is in the daily decision to become who God created you to be.Your Next Day One starts today.Share your choice in the comments or with a brother this week.Men Helping Men.Hope Starts Here.Legacy is the long game.Contact & LinksQuincy Moranquincy@mvsmpodcast.comhttps://quincymoran.com#YourNextDayOne #LegacyRoadmap #ManVsMarriage #MenHelpingMen #PowerOfChoice #PlacingADemandOnHistory
Why would anyone step out of an airplane — and why, after a fatal accident, would they go back up the very next day? In this episode I talk through that question using a recent New York Times feature on a brutal weekend in extreme sports, paired with my own interview with Dr. Kenneth Carter of Emory University, author of Buzz. It turns out "adrenaline junkie" mostly gets it wrong. The trait at the center of this is sensation seeking, and high sensation seekers actually process risk differently — running on less of the stress hormone cortisol and more dopamine — so the moment that floods most of us with panic gives them clarity instead. I break down Marvin Zuckerman's four components of the trait, explain why it's tied to openness but surprisingly not to extraversion, share my own (low) score on Carter's scale, and land on the practical point Carter made to me: the danger usually isn't the activity itself, it's doing it impulsively — so look before you leap, especially if you're leaping off a bridge.

Disrupt Yourself Before Someone Else Does: How Thomson Reuters CTO Anuradha Turned Fear, Bias, and Discomfort Into Career Fuel She grew up in a small town in India, first daughter in a middle-class family, educated in her mother tongue through 10th grade. She was culturally trained to listen more and speak less. Then she accepted a role as an assistant professor straight out of university, in front of 60 students, because she needed a job and couldn't say no to an opportunity. She showed up for her first class and trembled for the entire 60 minutes. She didn't quit. She went back. She sat in her colleagues' classes to watch how they taught. She asked hard questions. She sought feedback from the students whose faces told her everything. Eventually, students started telling her: "No one ever taught this subject the way you do." Anuradha is Head of Engineering and CTO of the Corporate Tax and Trade Technology Group at Thomson Reuters. She has since moved internationally alone, changed industries multiple times, and built a leadership philosophy around one core principle: disrupt yourself before someone else does it for you. In this episode, she breaks down how. You'll learn: She asked for a Senior Director role and was told not only no, but "even if you applied, they wouldn't hire you." What she said next, why she didn't confront him, and how she used that conversation to get clarity about whether the problem was her or the environment around her. The mental model she uses every time she gets a no: is this about me not having the skills, or is this about the climate in this organization not being ready for someone like me? Both are valid answers, but you have to know which one before you decide what to do next. Why she deliberately paced herself after that conversation, asked for names of other people to speak to, and processed it over days rather than trying to resolve it all in one go. Why running away from fear doesn't make fear disappear. It just means you'll face it later, under higher stakes, with fewer second chances. How she built confidence and humility simultaneously by changing industries repeatedly: retail, financial services, banking, payments, tax and trade. The more she learned, the more she understood how much more there was to learn, and why she sees that as a leadership asset, not a liability. What she means by "disrupt yourself before someone else does" and why it applies equally to personal growth, career management, and technology leadership at scale. Her model for leading through failure: look forward first, understand what went wrong second. And why leaders who impose their own stress on a team under pressure take everyone down with them. About Anuradha: Head of Engineering and CTO of the Corporate Tax and Trade Technology Group at Thomson Reuters, Anu is a recognized tech executive and speaker at women's leadership and technology conferences. She has built her career across multiple industries and continents.

Most independent agency owners look at a private equity acquisition as the ultimate finish line. They assume that getting bought by a massive national broker will instantly solve their back-office problems, open up new markets, and fund their ride into the sunset. But here is the harsh reality of the M&A space today: if you don't read the fine print, your dream deal can quickly turn into an absolute nightmare. My guest, John Lipton, a 30-year veteran property and casualty advisor, joins me to share one of the most unique agency trajectories you will ever hear. John built a scratch agency by hand, sold 50% of it under an accumulation structure that no longer exists today, bought the entire entity back, and turned around to sell it again 24 hours later. We break down the absolute madness of his early career trading currencies on a French bank floor during structural market collapses, why P&C is fundamentally a need-based consultative process rather than a transactional hard sale, and why agency owners must watch their peripheral vision to protect their commissions from post-acquisition contract changes. John also shares his experience as an expert witness in broker defense and how seeing egregious gaps in coverage shapes how he teaches his own team.▶▶ Sign Up For Your Free Discovery Callcompletegameu.com/agaTimestamped Outline(00:00) From the Trading Floor to the Finish Line: Introducing John Lipton(01:26) Forex Trading in the 90s: Fast Markets, Big Losses, and Structural Stress(04:05) Sitting in the Seat When the French Franc Collapsed(05:01) Job Security Over Burnout: How the Advent of the Euro Shifted the Market(06:02) The Family Gateway: Moving from Wholesale to a Retail Scratch Agency(08:42) Legacy Over Leverage: The Fortitude Required to Build a Firm from Nothing(10:21) Selling a Need: Why P&C Brokers Have an Advantage Over Life Insurance(13:47) Complex Products for Unexperienced Clients: Becoming an Educator(16:39) The Low Barrier to Entry: When Theory Fails Reality in Broker Training(18:15) Access to Markets: Why Back-Office Support Makes Acquisitions Attractive(21:03) The 50/50 Deal: How John Protected His Agency Expenses from Board Overreach(23:24) Cleaning up Shop: The Low-Price Buyback That Epic and Capacity Didn't See Coming(25:50) The 24-Hour Flip: Buying Your Business Back and Selling It the Next Day(27:51) Don't Start with the Finish Line: Why Building for an Earn-out Fails(31:47) Tadpoles in the Ocean: The Risk of Small Agencies Merging Into Mega Firms(35:52) Expert Witness Work: Leveraging Broker Defense to Identify Coverage Gaps(38:52) John's Lightning Round: Panera Coffee Sip Club, Over-40 Lacrosse, and the Ironman 70.3CONNECT WITH ANDY NEARY

Quinn and Isaac talk the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to eating food (often leftovers) that have sat around for a day or so.
I'd eat an entire pack of dried mangoes even though they made me SO bloated.I'd eat an entire row of cookies until my stomach felt like it was going to burst.I'd binge on chocolate chip pancakes every time I was home alone even though I was on the toilet with my arms wrapped over my stomach in pain every time.I didn't get it.I knew these foods made me feel like crap, why did I keep eating them?Because the moment you eat foods that bloat you, make you inflamed & so full until the next day is the moment you've decided you “messed up”.The day is a write off.Tomorrow will be better.* enter self sabotage mode with the all or nothing mentality slapped on top *The inner rebel within you starts to get a little feisty and wants to make you FULLY AWARE that you're “failing” yet again. It's a conscious decision to shift your mindset from “this is bad food, I can't eat it” aka rules that create pressure and leave you feeling impulsive to “I'm a badass who respects herself and these foods don't make me feel well so I'm going to not have as much. I'm going to eat them less often. I'm going to be mindful of them and create a boundary out of love. When you do this, you feel hellaaaa better in your own skin, you feel like the energizer bunny and you're way more pleasant to be around according to your husband

Los Angeles is facing a new crisis as a homeless encampment located within a storm drain in South Los Angeles has been declared a hazardous materials zone. The situation, initially reported by Matthew Seedorff, highlights the escalating challenges of homelessness in the city and the strain on its infrastructure. Sanitation crews are now tasked with cleaning up human waste and debris from the drain near 88th and Grand, an area deemed a 'hot zone.' This incident underscores broader issues, including unauthorized utility connections and criminal activities, raising serious concerns about public health and safety. The city claims to be offering resources to those affected, but the situation reveals a deeper failure in Los Angeles' approach to addressing homelessness. Is this really a solution?

The Bowhunter Chronicles Podcast - Episode 387: He Shot my Buck Out From Under Me : Aaron Olsen Next Step Outdoors In this episode of the Bowhunter Chronicles podcast, Adam sits down to talk with Aaron Olsen of Next Step Outdoors to break down the real-world challenges of public land hunting, covering strategy, mindset, and decision-making from start to finish of a hard-fought hunt. The discussion explores balancing family life and hunting season, managing expectations, and adapting when conditions and pressure don't go as planned. A pivotal moment in the hunt sparks the core debate of the episode: while glassing a buck, another hunter spotted the same deer, slipped in, and ultimately shot it out from in front of them. What followed became a race to the buck—and a larger conversation about ethics, unwritten rules, and fair play on public land. Was the other hunter in the wrong, or was it simply part of hunting ground that belongs to everyone? Beyond that moment, the episode dives into missed opportunities, mid-hunt adjustments, weather challenges, deer movement, and spot-and-stalk versus ground hunting tactics. Mental toughness and patience are tested as pressure increases from other hunters, leading to honest reflections on luck vs skill, scouting, preparation, and lessons learned for future hunts. Topics Covered: Public land hunting strategy Hunting ethics and shared ground Deer movement and scouting Spot-and-stalk vs ground hunting Decision-making under pressure

This episode kicks off with Tamara being very proud for returning an amazon purchase for the first time ever. To be fair it was a purchase bought in desperation after cleaning up puppy poop on a white carpet. Tamara wrapped up her weekend by cleaning and officially moving out of her old apartment. Rheannon's excitement for the week was buying a new car! The big question has been to keep the fancy gold rims that the car came with or to switch to a more boring color. Tamara tends to air on the side of less fancy, but the gold rims are growing on Rheannon and most of her family. Rheannon shares about her anxiety of watching someone climb a building live on Netflix. Tamara hasn't watched it yet, but is interested in watching it. It launches into a discussion about sports and television and the role that the audience plays in what is expected from our sports heroes.

In this episode of the Jewish Inspiration Podcast (Mussar Masterclass, Gate of Forgetfulness), Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe explores the trait of forgetfulness as a dangerous flaw in both this world and the next. Forgetfulness leads to broken commitments, forgotten debts (even a penny must be recorded), and lost opportunities for mitzvot. He advises creating systems/reminders (notes, ledgers) to compensate, avoiding borrowing if forgetfulness is chronic to prevent embarrassment or transgression, and reviewing affairs diligently.Rabbi Wolbe emphasizes forgetting good deeds (to avoid arrogance) while remembering sins (to repent), and forgetting wrongs done to us (to forgive) while recalling our own harms to seek forgiveness. He stresses constant remembrance of Hashem's presence (like a king holding a Torah scroll) and using forgetfulness positively—forgetting worldly distractions during prayer to connect simply with Hashem. The chapter concludes that mitzvot are lights removing darkness; forgetting them wastes chances to illuminate the world. True greatness comes from striving for more mitzvot, not resting on past achievements.Recorded at TORCH Centre in the Levin Family Studios (B) to a live audience on June 9, 2025, in Houston, Texas.Released as Podcast on December 30, 2025_____________This series on Orchos Tzadikim/Ways of the Righteous is produced in partnership with Hachzek.Join the revolution of daily Mussar study at hachzek.com.We are using the Treasure of Life edition of the Orchos Tzadikkim (Published by Feldheim)_____________Listen, Subscribe & Share: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jewish-inspiration-podcast-rabbi-aryeh-wolbe/id1476610783Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4r0KfjMzmCNQbiNaZBCSU7) to stay inspired! Late one night last week, Bill was wondering — just in an offhand way — whether it would be cheaper to refurbish the four Iowa-class battleships (all are museum ships today) or simply build new ones. THE NEXT DAY, President Trump announced the first of the eponymously named BBGs: Guided Missile Battleships. After 80 years, the game not only changed… it looks like it actually changed BACK.
For almost 20 months, investigative journalists Mandy Matney, Liz Farrell and Beth Braden have covered the Mica Francis case. They've filed dozens of Freedom of Information Act requests, listened to hours of recordings, gone through stacks of police reports, court documents, transcripts and text messages to piece together what the final months, weeks and days of Mica's life looked like as she tried to extricate herself from her husband, “Pastor” John Paul Miller. On April 27, 2024 — the day Mica killed herself in a remote part of a North Carolina swamp — JP was the leader of Solid Rock Ministries in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he had built, destroyed and rebuilt his megachurch all while, according to records and accusations made by family, friends and former church members, using his position of power and his so-called connection to God to bully, harass and torment his young wife, Mica — all the while denying wrongdoing and escaping accountability. On Dec. 18, 2025, the United States Government announced that JP Miller (finally) was going to be held accountable for his alleged actions against Mica, who investigators say killed herself as a result of JP's threats and abuse. He has been charged with one count of cyberstalking for his alleged actions between Nov. 16, 2022 and the day of Mica's death and one count of lying to federal investigators. Today we're enjoying vindication and a day of celebration that Mandy and Liz hope will have more people talking about the effects of coercive control abuse. So much to cover, so let's dive in!
The comeback is unstoppable, patriots! @intheMatrixxx and @shadygrooove brought the fire in Season 7, Episode 240, "President Trump Addresses Nation; Next Day: Inflation LOWER Than Expected." They dissected President Trump's commanding December 17 national address from the Oval Office — highlighting private-sector jobs going exclusively to American citizens, inflation at its lowest in years, and tariffs as the proven path to prosperity — followed immediately by the November CPI inflation report released December 18 showing just 2.7% annual increase, the lowest reading in four years and direct validation of Trump's America First economic policies against skeptical mainstream forecasts. Additional highlights: • Clear breakdown of Dan Bongino's announced January 2026 transition out of FBI deputy director role under Kash Patel (explicitly NOT a “Scaramucci model” purge) • Celebration of Freedom 250 plans for America's 250th anniversary in 2026, including the proposed triumphal arch in Washington D.C. • Exposure of media spin on economic victories and the viral Target employee harassment incident • Historical reminder: tariffs funded the federal government for America's first 137 years before income tax Razor-sharp, unfiltered truth with zero tolerance for globalist narratives — the truth is learned, never told — the constitution is your weapon. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation on Thursday announced a new plan for operating the Central Valley Project, a vast system of pumps, dams, and canals that direct water southward from the state’s wetter north. It follows an executive order President Donald Trump signed in January calling for more water to flow to farmers, arguing the state was wasting the precious resource in the name of protecting endangered fish species. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum said the plan will help the federal government “strengthen California’s water resilience.” It takes effect Friday. But California officials and environmental groups blasted the move, saying sending significantly more water to farmlands could threaten water delivery to the rest of the state and would harm salmon and other fish. Most of the state’s water is in the north, but most of its people are in the south. Representative Nick Begich (AK-At Large) introduced House Joint Resolution 131, stripping Biden-era restrictions on oil and gas exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). Rep. Begich’s resolution has passed the House of Representatives and the Senate and is headed to President Trump’s desk for signature. Alaska's congressional delegation on Thursday succeeded in stripping Biden-era protections from the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, moving to expand opportunities for drilling there. The U.S. Senate voted to eliminate the 2024 leasing program for the refuge that put much of the refuge's 1.6-million-acre coastal plain off-limits to potential drilling. The vote does a lot more than just open the door for potential oil and gas activity. This is another step in unlocking America’s treasure chest. The areas in question in ANWR are estimated to hold 7.7 billion barrels of oil recoverable with current technology, and the U.S. Geological Survey has estimated that there may be hundreds of millions of barrels in other areas to the west of the ANWR sites. All efforts to control traditional and social media are efforts to control information. The specifics of the reasoning for the fine are typically European. (1) Twitter allows ordinary people to deliver information at the same level as people who should be defined as more important. (2) Advertisers of those who pay for promotion of information on X are not easily identifiable – people need to figure it out on their own. (3) It is too difficult to figure out who is providing the information. Basically, all of the EU concerns center around information control. It's really an ideology issue. In the outlook of the EU, bureaucrats and elites feel they are superior and must rule/protect the people under them. During his appearance on Friday on the Sirius XM The Megyn Kelly Show podcast, Kelly started out by asking Patel if they believe they have the “proper suspect in custody” — if Tyler Robinson is “in fact, the man who killed Kirk.” Patel didn’t hesitate in the slightest and answered, “Yes.” The host then brought up one of the wild accusations that have been made by Owens, which includes claiming that Kirk’s own friends and his organization allegedly knew and approved of his murder. Insane. “Do you have any credible reason to believe that anyone connected with the Turning Point organization had anything to do with Charlie’s death?” Kelly asked. Patel’s response: “Zero.” He was then pressed about other claims that Owens has made about the alleged involvement of foreign governments in Kirk’s assassination, like French paratroopers, Egyptian Air Force planes flying out of Provo, Utah, and “potential underground assassins traveling through unseen tunnels,” as the producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, Blake Neff, previously explained. “At this time, the FBI doesn’t have credible information to connect any foreign governments to it,” Patel said. The FBI director made it clear that the investigation is continuing and they are looking into everything, no matter how small. “We are not done just because we arrest someone, just like in the pipe bomber case,” Patel said. “We don’t just say, Okay, we’re done, on to the next. The investigative team continues to work with the Utah authorities, and they’re deriving their own leads and coming back to us saying, ‘Hey, can you look at this piece of information? Can we get a search warrant on this account? Bondi's order is part of a broader counterterrorism plan after President Donald Trump's directives targeting the Antifa movement and organized political violence, Reuters and Bloomberg Law reported, citing a Thursday memo from Bondi. The FBI must provide within 30 days a list of groups “engaged in acts that may constitute domestic terrorism” along with strategies to disrupt them, with an emphasis on left-wing extremists, the memo reportedly says. Bondi's memo directs law enforcement agencies to unearth whatever intelligence files they have on Antifa groups for investigators and to investigate unsolved domestic terrorism incidents over the past five years, Reuters and Bloomberg Law reported. The incidents may include the “doxxing” of law enforcement officers' personal information and threats against Supreme Court justices. The FBI must also streamline its tip line to allow members of the public to “send media” on suspected domestic terrorism, the memo says, according to Reuters. Source: dailycaller.com https://twitter.com/Geiger_Capital/status/1996984378983915761?s=20 With the New U.S. National Security Strategy, Trump Revives Monroe Doctrine Trump administration released the 2025 National Security Strategy (NSS). The intent seems to be a return to the Monroe Doctrine by increasing the United States military presence in the Western Hemisphere, taking on the drug cartels, enhancing border security, making trade deals that are better for the United States, and enhancing American energy production. That’s not the worst high-level take on the NSS, but a look at the actual document is illustrative. The NSS states as its purpose: To ensure that America remains the world's strongest, richest, most powerful, and most successful country for decades to come, our country needs a coherent, focused strategy for how we interact with the world. And to get that right, all Americans need to know what, exactly, it is we are trying to do and why. A “strategy” is a concrete, realistic plan that explains the essential connection between ends and means: it begins from an accurate assessment of what is desired and what tools are available, or can realistically be created, to achieve the desired outcomes. A strategy must evaluate, sort, and prioritize. Not every country, region, issue, or cause—however worthy—can be the focus of American strategy. The purpose of foreign policy is the protection of core national interests; that is the sole focus of this strategy. One of the more interesting (but not surprising) pieces of this NSS is the overt and robust return to the Monroe Doctrine, an early 19th-century policy intended to restrict further European colonization of the Western Hemisphere and to ensure American dominance in that region. The modern take on this doctrine by the Trump administration uses American power by employing both internal and external security measures. The NSS states: American policy should focus on enlisting regional champions that can help create tolerable stability in the region, even beyond those partners' borders. These nations would help us stop illegal and destabilizing migration, neutralize cartels, nearshore manufacturing, and develop local private economies, among other things. We will reward and encourage the region's governments, political parties, and movements broadly aligned with our principles and strategy. But we must not overlook governments with different outlooks with whom we nonetheless share interests and who want to work with us. Source: redstate.com The Monroe Doctrine is a foundational principle of United States foreign policy, first articulated by President James Monroe in his annual message to Congress on December 2, 1823. It declared that the Western Hemisphere was no longer open to European colonization or interference, while affirming that the U.S. would not meddle in existing European colonies or internal affairs. Essentially, it warned European powers—particularly those in the Holy Alliance (Russia, Austria, and Prussia)—against attempting to extend their influence or establish new colonies in the Americas, positioning the U.S. as a protector of independent nations in the region The doctrine emerged amid concerns over European monarchies potentially aiding Spain in reconquering its former Latin American colonies, which had recently gained independence. It was largely drafted by Secretary of State John Quincy Adams and reflected growing American confidence following the War of 1812. At the time, the U.S. lacked the military power to enforce it fully, so it relied on British naval support, as Britain also opposed European rivals in the Americas for trade reasons.Key excerpts from Monroe’s address include: The American continents “are henceforth not to be considered as subjects for future colonization by any European powers.” Any attempt by Europe to extend its political system to the Western Hemisphere would be viewed as “dangerous to our peace and safety.” Significance and EvolutionInitially more symbolic than enforceable, the Monroe Doctrine evolved into a justification for U.S. intervention in Latin America during the 19th and 20th centuries. For instance: In the mid-1800s, it intertwined with Manifest Destiny to support U.S. territorial expansion, such as during the Mexican-American War. President Theodore Roosevelt’s 1904 “Corollary” expanded it to allow U.S. intervention in Latin American countries to prevent European involvement, leading to actions like the occupation of Cuba and the Dominican Republic. It influenced Cold War policies, framing U.S. opposition to communism in the hemisphere as a defense against external threats. Critics, especially in Latin America, have viewed it as a tool for U.S. imperialism, enabling dominance over sovereign nations. Though less invoked today, it remains a symbol of U.S. hemispheric influence and anti-colonial rhetoric. facebook.com https://twitter.com/onechancefreedm/status/1996970776373735933?s=20 https://twitter.com/JoeLang51440671/status/1996992569746567173?s=20 other hand, I can see how we help real allies with aid when needed, as long as we get something of economic value in return. Republican leadership planned Thursday to kick-off the procedural process to confirm 88 of President Donald Trump's nominees in a bloc vote, but were initially thwarted by Democratic Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, who challenged the package for violating Senate rules. When Republicans refiled the package later on Thursday, the conference included an additional nine nominees, bringing the total to nearly 100. The Senate has confirmed 314 civilian nominees as of Thursday evening, according to a tally by the Senate Republican Communications Center. The 97-member bloc would bring the Senate to more than 410 civilian confirmations in the first year of Trump's second term. “That far outstrips total confirmations by this point in President Biden's term, and in President Trump's first term as well,” Thune said Thursday. Thune also said that Senate Republicans have virtually cleared the nominations backlog. Before Republicans changed Senate precedent to allow for certain nominees to be confirmed in groups, more than 150 of the president's picks were awaiting floor consideration. The Senate approved a 48-member nominations package in September and an additional 108 of the president's picks in a single group vote in October.
