I have been an avid podcast listener for years and recently stumbled upon The According to Flint podcast. Let me tell you, I am absolutely loving it! This podcast combines the perfect blend of music and rodeo talk that takes me back to some incredible memories in my life. But what really sets it apart are the real-life discussions that tackle current issues and frustrations, particularly for someone like me who doesn't fit into the "skinny jeans world." Flint keeps it real and relatable, and I appreciate that. Plus, his sappy song playlist hits all the right notes.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is Flint's interviewing skills. He truly excels in engaging with his guests and bringing out their authentic stories. A standout episode for me was Joe Beaver's interview. I used to watch Joe compete in Vegas and found him to be quite hot-headed. But after listening to this podcast, I gained a whole new perspective on him. Joe is a fantastic commentator at the NFR because he is real and genuine. It's these insights that make this podcast so captivating.
Now, onto the worst aspects, though there aren't many. Sometimes I wish the episodes were longer because they leave me wanting more. Flint and Ty cover a great variety of guests and topics, but occasionally I find myself wishing they delved deeper into certain subjects or had more time to explore different angles. Regardless, this is a minor gripe in an otherwise excellent podcast.
In conclusion, The According to Flint podcast is a must-listen for anyone who appreciates the western way of life or simply enjoys great storytelling. From start to finish, Flint and Ty deliver engaging stories about family and rodeo life that are both entertaining and insightful. They set the bar high with their dynamic personalities, making each episode feel like a conversation with old friends. So grab a beer (or your beverage of choice) and tune in – you won't be disappointed.
