In this episode of In The LOOP, Jordan Jo sits down with one of rodeo's most recognizable champions—Richmond Champion—for a conversation about the moment that changed the sport of rodeo and the career that led him there. A nine-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier in bareback riding, Richmond made history when he became the inaugural million-dollar champion at The American Rodeo, a moment that stunned the rodeo world and helped open the door for bigger payouts and new opportunities across the sport. Richmond shares what life looked like before that historic ride—building a career through years of competition, chasing rodeos across the country, and learning how to compete against the very best bareback riders in the world. What followed after that moment was something few athletes experience. Winning a million dollars in a single ride brought a new level of attention to both Richmond and the sport itself. As he reflects in the episode, the reality of that moment didn't fully sink in until later—when the rodeo world realized that a rodeo cowboy had just been paid one million dollars for a ride. From raising a family on the road to continuing to compete with the next generation of bareback riders, Richmond reflects on the lessons he's learned through rodeo, fatherhood, and the pursuit of a dream that helped reshape the sport. This episode offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most defining moments in modern rodeo—and the cowboy who helped set it in motion.
In this episode of In The LOOP, Jordan Jo sits down with one of the most respected voices in Western sports media—Kadee Coffman—for a conversation about persistence, opportunity, and building a career in the rodeo industry. Raised on a fifth-generation cow-calf operation in Clovis, California, Kadee grew up surrounded by horses and Western heritage. Her journey began in rodeo queen pageantry, earning titles like Miss California Rodeo Salinas and Miss Rodeo California. When her goal of becoming Miss Rodeo America didn't unfold the way she expected, it pushed her to rethink her path—leading her to pursue broadcast journalism and eventually a career in Western sports media. What followed was a career built on what Kadee calls being “pleasantly persistent.” From landing her first opportunities with Superior Livestock Auction to stepping onto some of the biggest stages in rodeo broadcasting, she shares the lessons she learned along the way and the mentors—like Pam Minnick—who helped shape her approach to storytelling. Kadee also reflects on memorable moments covering the National Finals Rodeo, the fast pace of live television, and the responsibility of telling the athletes' stories in the moments that matter most. Beyond the camera, Kadee has also built an impressive career in business development in the construction industry while balancing life as a wife and mother—proving that passion, preparation, and persistence can open doors in more than one arena. This episode is full of insight, humor, and real-life lessons—including a memorable ranch story about a miniature donkey named Fiesta.

In honor of the NFR, we're bringing back one of the most badass rodeo conversations ever recorded. This is a special throwback episode from Logan's old show, because when the National Finals Rodeo is happening, there's no better time to revisit a story like this. In this episode, Logan is joined by Tim O'Connell, the 3x World Champion Bareback Rider and one of the most dominant cowboy athletes in modern rodeo. Rodeo runs deep in Tim's blood, and you'll hear that from the very beginning of his journey. Tim walks us through his early days as a bull rider, the pivotal wreck that made him realize bull riding wasn't his future, and the moment he shifted into the bareback world—where he ultimately became a champion. We talk about the mindset, the injuries, the physical toll, the adrenaline, and what it actually takes to compete at the highest level in rodeo. You'll hear about: • Tim's start in rodeo • The brutal bull riding wreck that changed his direction • Why bareback riding "clicked" and how he found his groove • What the bareback rigging actually does to your body • How elite cowboy athletes train and stay in the fight • Insights into the rodeo lifestyle during NFR season Tim completely opened our eyes to the reality of professional rodeo, the cowboy culture, and the grit it takes to be the best in the world. While Lorissa is a talented horsewoman herself, her role behind the scenes is one we don't talk about enough—and it is a pivotal role in the road to the NFR.Lorissa shares how she's embraced her role as the “horse finder” and “accountability partner" in Katelyn's journey, the story of how Peanut Seed—Katelyn's main mount for this year's finals—came into their lives, how he got his name, and the team effort that goes into an NFR qualification.

Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Dolly Parton has been in the headlines repeatedly over the past several days, but not for the reasons fans were hoping. The most significant story is that the country icon has stepped out of the spotlight and postponed her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency due to ongoing health challenges. On September 29, Dolly went directly to her fans via Instagram to say that, while she had dearly hoped to perform this December at Caesars Palace, doctors' orders meant she needed some “procedures,” and she joked about getting her “100,000 check-up,” making clear her usual sense of humor is intact. She assured everyone that she is not retiring and that, in her words, “God hasn't said anything about stopping yet,” but she does need to slow down, rest, and make sure she is at her best before she returns to the stage. The new dates for “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas” have been rescheduled for September 2026. Meanwhile, her absence has shifted the balance in Vegas, with Tim McGraw stepping in to headline The Colosseum with “Tim McGraw: Live in Vegas” during the National Finals Rodeo in December, covering several slots originally reserved for Dolly. That has added a surprise twist to Vegas entertainment news and plenty of buzz on country music social media, with fans expressing both their support for Dolly and excitement for Tim's run. Parton has also pulled out of several other public commitments: she missed a major appearance at Dollywood, where she was to unveil a first-of-its-kind attraction, NightFlight Expedition, set to debut in 2026. The theme park went ahead with the reveal, though they offered no details about her absence at the time, fueling further speculation and a wave of get-well messages online. Additionally, she withdrew from a scheduled Governors Awards appearance, again citing health concerns, which has only intensified public concern and media analysis of her wellbeing. Despite her recent withdrawal from the public eye, her influence is undimmed. Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Dolly Parton has been front and center in both headlines and hearts over the past week, even as she balanced personal moments and a packed professional schedule. According to Parade, Dolly sat down with Reba McEntire for a warmly candid TalkShopLive interview released September 25, where she reminisced with poignant humor about her late husband Carl Dean, who passed away six months ago. Dolly recalled a rare moment when Carl, who famously shunned the spotlight throughout their six-decade marriage, joined her for an impromptu performance at the Kentucky State Fair. She described the memory as “so out of character for him” and laughed about how the prank unraveled onstage—with Dolly even jokingly telling security she didn't know him, until her road manager intervened.A major headline from AOL announced Dolly's Las Vegas return later this year: she's set for six shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in December, marking her first extended residency there in 32 years. “To say I'm excited would be an understatement,” Dolly said in her statement, making clear her enthusiasm for reconnecting with fans in Vegas. The concerts, appropriately titled “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas,” promise seven decades of hits and a setlist fans have dreamt about, along with VIP packages for some up-close Dolly moments. This run coincides with the National Finals Rodeo, turning Vegas into a true Parton-palooza.Meanwhile, Dolly has not just been performing—she's been the subject of a musical about her life, “Dolly: A True Original Musical,” which opened in Nashville in January and is reportedly eyeing Broadway, according to Playbill and AOL. For fans of orchestral music, her multimedia production “Threads: My Songs in Symphony” continues its national tour, bringing Dolly's classics to the concert stage with a symphonic twist—in fact, she headlined in Indianapolis on September 20.The week was not without health-related speculations. People and IMDb reported that Dolly missed the highly anticipated announcement for Dollywood's newest ride due to kidney stone recovery, causing a ripple of concern among fans. Dolly addressed her absence cheerfully in a video message, promising she was with everyone “in spirit” and expected to be back in action soon.Book lovers, mark November 11 on your calendar. “Star of the Show: My Life on Stage”—Dolly's third photographic memoir—drops soon. Reba McEntire called Dolly “her hero” during their livestreamed chat, raving about Dolly's generosity, wit, and authenticity. The pair traded decades of stories, reinforcing their mutual admiration in a conversation that felt like a masterclass on both friendship and show business.Social media buzz has been lively, too. Dolly's enduring impact was referenced in a viral tweet picked up by HuffPost Women, joking about how “it's getting harder and harder to tumble out of bed, stumble into my kitchen to pour a cup of ambition every day,” a playful nod to her “9 to 5” lyrics that perfectly captures her crossover into everyday pop culture. So whether she's sparking Vegas fever, sharing deeply personal stories, celebrating her own journey in new artistic ways, or trending in meme form, Dolly Parton remains a force whose every move resonates far beyond country music. Onward with rhinestones, resilience, and remarkable grace—this week's Dolly headlines are, as always, pure gold.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI
