A weekly phone conversation between fantasy veterans Bob Harris and Matt Waldman is a quick and dirty run-down of NFL players, units, or teams. https://youtu.be/AVuIecucooA Topics 1. Cam Ward is the safest rookie to withstand the onslaught of starting year one in the NFL. 2. Kyle Monangai could be the next Ray Davis-Jaylen Warren of this class. 3. Jaydon Blue has one of the highest ceilings in this class. 4. Jacory Croskey-Merritt deserves his sleeper tag. 5. Tez Johnson is too small to play WR in the NFL. 6. Daniel Jackson is a better prospect in the slot than Xavier Restrepo 7. The Giants don't need to draft a quarterback this year. 8. Bru McCoy deserves more attention 9. If Andrew Luck is the Frankenstein of Josh Allen and Tim Tebow. Will Howard is the "Young Frankenstein" version of these two. 10. Hunter Dekkers would have earned a draftable grade in the RSP if included. 11. Tyler Shough's pocket presence is a concern that could derail a future shot to start. 12. Mason Taylor could be a Mark Andrews-like fit for a team. 13. Brock Bowers is a good comparison for Tyler Warren 14. Luther Burden is a better prospect than Marvin Harrison, Jr. 15. Brashard Smith is closer to Aaron Jones than most think 16. Marcus Yarns is the most intriguing rookie RB in the class. 17. Lan Larison is a pen name for Cecil Lammey trying to become an NFL RB. Now entering its 20th season, learn more about Matt Waldman's RSP — the most in-depth analysis of offensive skill position players available (QB, RB, WR, and TE). Or if you already know the deal, go ahead and pre-order (you know you want to) for $21.95. On this episode of Move the Sticks, Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks tackle some of the hottest pre-draft debates. Outside of Travis Hunter, could we really see just one wide receiver go in the first round? The guys break down both sides of the argument and why the current WR market, where top talent rarely hits free agency, actually makes the case for drafting one early. They also dive into the ceiling and floor for defensive tackles Walter Nolen and Kenneth Grant, discuss why LSU tight end Mason Taylor would be a great fit for the Eagles, and react to the Patriots trading QB Joe Milton III to the Cowboys, showing how Eliot Wolf is following his father Ron Wolf’s philosophy of drafting and flipping quarterbacks for value. Then, DJ teases a conversation with a source who believes Jalen Milroe could come off the board much earlier than expected. And to close it out, DJ highlights some of the biggest risers in his latest Top 50 rankings.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We're beginning our preview series as the NFL Draft approaches, beginning with one of the more intriguing position groups for the Eagles this year as Dallas Goedert's future twists in the wind. Tyler Warren is likely to be out of the Eagles' reach, but is Michigan's Colston Loveland a realistic possibility? What about Elijah Arroyo or Mason Taylor in round two? And who among a deep group of prospects including Gavin Batholomew, Harold Fannin Jr., Jackson Hawes, Moliki Matavao, Gunnar Helm and more could be intriguing late-round options?Fran Duffy, Zach Berman and Bo Wulf each put their stamp on a player and then try to come to a consensus to decide who is the most likely tight end to be drafted by the Eagles later this month.
Take advantage of incoming studs and hidden sleepers at the toughest position in fantasy football by joining Seth Woolcock, Derek Brown and guest Theo Gremminger (@TheOGfantasy) from Fantasy Points as they break down the 2025 NFL Draft's top 10 tight ends! Does Michigan TE Colston Loveland belong in the same tier as Penn State TE and 2025 John Mackey Award winner Tyler Warren? Would drafting LSU TE Mason Taylor in the second round of dynasty rookie drafts be a mistake? Plus, why do Texas TE Gunnar Helm's underwhelming NFL Combine results make him the potential best value in the class? The Pros pick sides when it comes to the top incoming tight ends! Send us a textDrew and Rob take a deep dive into the top tight end prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft, breaking down their strengths, weaknesses, and draft projections. This class features a mix of high-end talent, athletic pass catchers, and physical blockers, but who stands out as the best of the best? At the top of the board is Penn State's Tyler Warren, a dominant force who put up monster numbers in his final college season. At 6'6” and 261 pounds, Warren earned the John Mackey Award, First-Team All-American honors, and was named Big Ten Tight End of the Year. His ability to contribute in multiple ways makes him the clear number-one tight end in the draft, but he still has room for growth in his route running and pass protection. Right behind him is Michigan's Colston Loveland, a smooth route runner with wide receiver-like movement skills. He's not the most physical player and struggles with contested catches, but his upside as a dynamic receiving threat has him locked in as a late first-round prospect. Bowling Green's Harold Fannin Jr. put up jaw-dropping numbers with over 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns, making him an unstoppable force in the MAC. However, questions about his athleticism and competition level make him more of a Day 2 target. The depth in this tight end class continues with LSU's Terrance Ferguson and Mason Taylor, both talented pass catchers with strong red zone skills but some concerns in blocking and handling physical defenders. Miami's Elijah Arroyo is one of the fastest tight ends in the draft with big-play potential, but his medical history, including an ACL injury, raises red flags. Gunnar Helm from Texas brings toughness and reliable hands, but he lacks elite speed and still needs work on his blocking. Further down the rankings, Notre Dame's Mitchell Evans, Clemson's Jake Briningstool, and Iowa's Luke Lachey all bring different skill sets to the table. Evans is a strong contested-catch receiver but lacks high-end athleticism, Briningstool has deep-threat ability but needs to bulk up, and Lachey follows in the footsteps of past Iowa tight ends, offering solid fundamentals but lacking standout traits. Drew and Rob analyze what makes these tight ends valuable at the next level and where they might land in the 2025 NFL Draft. With teams always searching for the next elite playmaker at the position, this year's draft class has plenty of intriguing options. Whether it's a first-round talent like Warren or a mid-round gem, this episode provides a full breakdown of what each prospect brings to the table.Support the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. Mike and Steve reviewed LSU TE Mason Taylor's decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, forgoing his senior season. Mike explained where he has Taylor ranked on his big board. The guys spoke to a WWL listener about Ole Miss QB Walker Howard and LSU football.
Oklahoma travels to LSU for a game that may be seen at 6 Central on ESPN this Saturday. Oddsmakers favor LSU by 6 with an over-under of 47, making for an implied final score of LSU 27, Oklahoma 21. Our computer composite model favors LSU by 3 1/2. Chris Lee and Chase Robinson preview the matchup. Topics include: Oklahoma effectively utilized Jackson Arnold more in the run game and used that to pull a stunning upset of Alabama last week. The Sooners found a new threat in Xavier Robinson at running back. OU's receiving corps is still banged up. LSU's passing attack of Garrett Nussmeier, Kyren Lacy, Aaron Anderson and Mason Taylor is one of the country's best. The Tigers used Josh Williams effectively in spots in last week's win over Vanderbilt. LSU's front seven of Whit Weeks and company played respectably last week after a rough stretch of games prior to that. Oklahoma's front seven vs. LSU's offensive line, which has a pair of first-round tackles, is a matchup to watch.
