As the season shifts and the holidays start to peek around the corner, there's this quiet pull toward home, whatever home means to you. Maybe it's a place. Maybe it's a person. Maybe it's a feeling that comes rushing back when the right song plays at the right moment. This playlist is a little love letter to that feeling. It's for the road trips back to familiar streets, the laughter in kitchens that have seen it all, and the friends who've become family over the years. It's for the ones we gather with and the ones we carry in our hearts. Carry Me Home by Red Hot Chili Peppers sets the tone; warm, wistful, hopeful. Then Come Together by Aerosmith reminds us what this time of year is really about: showing up for each other. Glad All Over (both The Dave Clark Five and The Verbs version, because why not? ) bring the joy, the rhythm of being surrounded by the people who just get you. Sweet Dreams (Maria Bello) adds a little mystery, Good Times by The Rolling Stones keeps the mood light, and Soul Kitchen by The Doors feels like a gathering spot for the soul. It all wraps up beautifully with The Book of Love by The Masked Marauders, a song that reminds us that no matter how much changes, love is still the story we keep coming back to. So pour a drink, call someone you miss, or just sit back and let the music carry you home.

We also discussed his musical roots, which go back to his youth in Gainsville, FL where he played in high school talent shows alongside a young Tom Petty AND the Allman Brothers. Then he told me about the first band he recorded an album with, how he launched his solo career, and since he'll be playing shows next year – how he puts together his setlists. We begin this interview by talking about what Nick was doing before the Found Footage Fest, which was mainly working at the Late Show with David Letterman. He tells some great stories about interacting with celebrities like Richard Simmons, Darlene Love, Bruce Willis, and even President Bill Clinton. He also shares his memories of working on the episode that featured Warren Zevon's legendary final appearance. From there, we move onto what he's doing now with the Found Footage Festival. He talks about how the show got started, the comedy bits he's most proud of, and some of the incredible and unique people he's met by doing this show. The Cramps, led by the husband and wife team of Lux Interior and Poison Ivy Rorschach, had one one mission: To save rock n' roll from the corporate monsters who threatened its destruction. The band blended rockabilly, blues, garage rock and the aesthetic of 1950s B-movies into a wholly unique and singular rock and roll concoction that set them apart from their punk contemporaries. But as they began their climb up the music industry's ladder of success, they encountered hordes of brainless zombies who didn't understand their music or their mission, swarms of radioactive bootlegging cockroaches, and a coven of blood-sucking vampires hellbent on destroying the only thing the Cramps held sacred: rock n' roll. Few bands have come from as little and made as much of themselves as Oasis. Along the way they were wildly entertaining — unlike anything England or the United States had ever seen — and fully committed to the life of the rock star and to making the greatest rock ‘n' roll music the world had ever heard. Through it all they famously fought, with fans, with police and with each other. They drank excessively and did copious amounts of drugs and didn't care who knew about it. They were England's new rock ‘n' roll saviors and they were stacked with Beatlesesque hooks and Sex Pistols-inspired attitude and seemingly, always, on the verge of breaking up.
