Red Dirt Randy's Memorial Service- November 2021.
This episode features interviews with members of the Last Call Coalition band, as well as previous tour manager Lord Joseph Melton. The band was formed in 2008 and disbanded in 2015, and it was a wild and crazy time of shenanigans along the way. Included are Josh Rutz (lead guitar), Mike Hatley (original drummer), Jerry Stanley (original bassist), and Jesse Holcomb (bassist). We missed the presence of Jeremy Clark who played drums for several years and was a great asset to the band as well as a good friend. But the rest of the band members were present and it was a great time of catching up and sharing ridiculous stories and tales, as only this band could do. It was an amazing time getting to catch up with these old friends and share in our memories of Chad. It was truly special and magical. This episode takes you on a journey of life on the road with Chad Sullins and the Last Call Coalition, and we think you will enjoy the ride.
This episode features interviews with (in no particular order):Rick Owens, Ragan Parkerson, Jeremy Johnson, Kyle Nix, Sarah Probasco-Stueber, Jesse Hacker, Lord Joseph Melton, Jack Waters, and Kyle Carter.Music "December" by Chloe-Beth, a hauntingly impressive cover of Chad's song that she performed at the benefit.
This is part one in a 3 part series of podcasts we will release featuring interviews from at the Last Call Celebration, in honor of Chad Sullins. The day was filled with music, memories, laughter and tears as we all came together to pour out our love in Chad's memory and to help raise money for his children. The event, hosted by Tumbleweeds and Red Dirt Relief Fund, in addition to other events and fundraisers in conjunction raised over $40k. We were honored to have been a part of Chad's life, and to be a part of the event. Chad leaves a void in the red dirt family tree, and he will forever be in our hearts. I've told the story many times of how he is the whole reason I am even a part of this amazing music family, and how he completely changed the course of my life. In this episode I share more about that and how I found my place in this red dirt family. Thanks for tuning in. ~ Tonya

We were ridiculously excited to get to record this at The Deli on January 30th, where a whole barrage of Okie talent were playing to celebrate Samantha Coppedge's birthday. We got to chat with Megan Marlene, Rachel Lynch, Chloe-Beth, Ben Brock, Lane Hawkins, Ryan Oldman, Jayson Starkey, Haystack Foster, Dwight Hamlin, Caleb Shirtum, Walton Mcmurry, and Joshua Polascheck.
