Brian Higbee's friend, Bill Vanderbush, just wrote a must read book called The Fire Of God Is Not Optional. In it, Bill explores the absolute necessity the Fire of God has in being the covenant people of God. Brian talks about the role of the fire of God in the old covenant people and in the new and how we recover this essential component to our function in the kingdom of God.
We are the covenant people of God; at least that is what each of us under the Lordship of Jesus signed up for. But like old testament Israel, have a name and having a life are vastly different. God chose Israel but Israel did not choose God. They chose religion. They chose the celebrations. They chose to be a people. But they did not choose to be the people of God. Why? What was missing? What is missing in much of the body of Christ today? Brian Higbee explores what it means and how to be the covenant people of God. Check it out.
When it seems like all the life is gone from what is important to you, your marriage, your kids, your job, your church do you just talk about how it has not life? Does your talk reflect what is going on? If so, you have lost the greatest ability of the modern day believer. What if you rose above and the nasty speak and found out what God is saying? Brian Higbee talks about the example that God gave us in someone who saw just dry bones. In that example we see how to make life where there were only dry dead bones. Check it out.
It is the intent of the Lord that we have authority and become powerful people of God: walking on water, raising the dead, rescuing the lost from damnation, healing disease, and broken limbs, commanding storms, living life in obedience. All of this and much more is in store for us. John 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. But we must learn how to be careful. Brian Higbee talks about what it means for a modern day believer to be careful. Check it out.
This is a crucial time for the earth. The times and seasons are about to change. For those who are conformed to His image, who have chosen for the Lord to shape them, form them, position them, the time of blessing is arriving. For those who refuse to be conformed to His image, the kingdom, as it falls to the earth like a warm blanket, will crush those not conformed and out of position. Brian Higbee heard this from the Lord just a few days ago and sees the importance of communicating it to the body of Christ here at CityChurch as well as the region and the nations. Check it out.
What is the difference between independence and freedom? What are we, as believers to embrace? Is independence always a good thing? Check out this message from Brian Higbee on the heels of celebrating Independence Day.
Who is Jesus? Really. Who is He? Who is He to us? Paul, an apostle of Jesus, wrote to the church at Colossae the immutable truths about Jesus. Why? Jack Taylor once said, “A spoken word is like a whisp of smoke. A written word is as if etched in stone.” Paul wrote it so it would be in stone for the early church and for us. Brian Higbee takes an excerpt from this letter to the church in Colossae and talks about who Jesus is to us today. Check it out.

Did you ever resonate with what another is saying? What is that? Actually it means that you are "tuned" to the same interest. When they speak, the inside of you resonates or gets excited about what they are saying. The same is true of heaven. When we are interested in what heaven has to say, we resonate or get excited. But what when we are not in tune with heaven? What happens then? Brian Higbee talks about how to get in tune with heaven. Check it out.
Cain was so close to getting it right. God showed him what to do and even warned him of what was preventing him from doing the right thing. And still Cain listened to something other that God. We do that often. How can we get it right? It is closer than you think. Brian Higbee talks about being close to God yet not knowing it and the slight adjustment we must make to never fall prey to another voice. Check it out.

This combined event change the history of the world and has changed the lives of mankind. Both are crucial. One without the other negates both. Brian Higbee talks about the effect of the crucifixion and resurrection and how it has changed the life experience of men.
How do you see yourself? Do you know that the way you see yourself is a reflection of what voice you are listening? When Israel approached the Jordan the first time, they were divided into two groups. The first group were the giant killers; Joshua and Caleb. The second group saw themselves as grasshoppers. Which one are you? Do you want to live in the desert of deliverance or the land of promise. It is completely up to you. Check it out as Eddie Robertson and Brian Higbee together form this message.
Why a prophetic people? Why prophesy? Is prophecy for the church? Paul longed for all to speak in tongues…but even more to prophesy. Is prophesy limited to only prophets? To those who have that gift? It would seem the Apostle Paul concludes in 1Corinthians, “brethren desire earnestly to prophesy.” Why? Why Is prophecy so crucial? Could it be that we suffer far more at the hands of those who desire harm upon us than we should? Could it be that God intends for us to come in to agreement with Him and be part of removing and exposing the harm we suffer? Brian Higbee talks about the prophetic people of God and how God intends for the prophetic to be a powerful force to remove and expose the harm we often unnecessarily suffer. Check it out.

Brian Higbee talks about honor and its cruciality in the healthy functioning in the kingdom of God. Check it out.

Jacob loved Rachel. But he was required, by the father of Rachel, to be faithful to Leah, the one Jacob did not desire. After learning to love what he did not love he could love who he did love. It is that way in the kingdom of God. It is often that God will have us be faithful to what we do not desire and the seeds of faithfulness will birth the fruit of desire. Brian Higbee talks about this struggle in the body of Christ to run from what demands our faithfulness.

Brian Higbee talks about how our hearts can be impure, soiled and how to purge our hearts so that they become clean and the power of God rises against our enemies. Check it out.

When God assigns us to something...anything…our work, our family, our own life His grace is sufficient for us to follow Holy Spirit's leading even into the finest detail. Brian Higbee talks about grace sufficient and the blessing that brings into our lives. He also explores grace insufficient and what that really means. Check it out.
The thoughts we have are precious. So precious that they actually form the system of value that determines how we value everything. Imagine the crisis that can be avoided if we simply guard our thoughts completely and continually. Brian Higbee talks about our thoughts and how we must value and protect them.

Brian Higbee talks about the power of the blood of Jesus without which our lives miss the completeness of what He has done.
