Have you ever stopped to think about the people who didn't have to help you—but did anyway? The ones who showed up with encouragement, opened doors for you, and believed in you long before you believed in yourself?Katie Coyne was one of those people—for me, and for so many others in the dairy community. In this special episode of the Uplevel Dairy Podcast, we are joined by Katie's daughter, Kelly Reynolds, to reflect on Katie's life and legacy, followed by the conversation Katie and I had one year ago, called “Leading with Courage and Confidence.”Katie was a steadfast mentor, a voice for youth in agriculture, and a woman who gave freely of her time, wisdom, and spirit. This episode was recorded during the final chapter of Katie's journey here on earth. I knew it was time to sit down with her—not just to thank her, but to honor her story. To let her share in her own words the values she stood for, the lessons she learned, and why pouring into others always mattered most.Katie's impact will live on in every life she touched. This episode is a celebration of that legacy. And tune into our next episode to hear the last conversation we had with Katie on the Uplevel Dairy Podcast.

Meet Rafael Caamano, a gentleman that I have known at events for years and finally had the opportunity to have a conversation with him about his life. I hope you enjoy meeting him as much as me. Sharing one of the stories from this episode with you. When asked who are some of his favorite thought leaders. His reply was different from others. He shared a story about the quality time he spent with each of his grandfathers. Both of his grandfathers were very different from one another. One was a community leader and the other was a businessman with no educational background. Both were veterans. The grandfather that was a community leader spent his time on the corner with his friends. He came to realize that each of them brought something significant to his life about building relationships and brought something to the table. Another highlight Rafael shared is that as most growing teenage boys, he loved food and wanted to help provide for his family when they moved from Puerto Rico to Florida. He started shining shoes to buy empanadas. He also loved grapes and asked to volunteer and put pricing labels on cans in the grocery store in exchange for grapes. In this conversation, Nate Kelly and TJ Woodward discuss the importance of healing shame and overcoming core false beliefs in the recovery process. They explore the evolution of pride within the LGBTQIA+ community and the need for deeper healing beyond pride. TJ introduces the concept of conscious creation, which involves making peace with the past, overcoming core false beliefs, visioning, intention setting, and embodying the vision. He shares personal examples of how conscious creation has transformed his life. The conversation ends with a message of hope and self-worth for those in early recovery or struggling with addiction. Keywords shame, core false beliefs, LGBTQIA+ community, pride, conscious creation, healing, recovery, visioning, intention setting, embodying the vision, self-worth Takeaways Healing shame and overcoming core false beliefs are essential in the recovery process. The LGBTQIA+ community often experiences shame at an early age, which can be a root cause of addiction. Conscious creation involves making peace with the past, overcoming core false beliefs, visioning, intention setting, and embodying the vision. Visioning is about emptying the mind and listening to inner wisdom, rather than simply visualizing a desired outcome. Embodying the vision involves holding the energy of the desired outcome and acting as if it is already true. Everyone deserves a life filled with love and connection, regardless of past experiences or actions.
