Erica Sullivan discusses her path to entrepreneurship and how she knew she wanted to create social impact and community before she even knew she wanted to build a brand and business. We can all relate to a time in our lives when we were not where we wanted to be and were feeling like we didn't recognize who we had become. Lonnie Scott of Humble Beast Lifestyle knew he couldn't stay stuck and created a tee shirt to remind him of the beast living inside and the humility to grow from his setbacks. Little did he know, this shirt would lead to a business and a brand based on overcoming the challenges he was currently facing. His best friend Devante Jones was wearing the tee shirt in the gym when they began to realize they had something special with Humble Beast and what it stood for. Much like the brand started with a single tee shirt, their friendship was formed over a jar of peanut butter. From humble beginnings, a movement was born. I am so excited to introduce you to the two men behind the movement. ________________________________________________________________ In addition to hosting the Company You Keep podcast, I’m also a cancer survivor and mental health advocate passionate about building a community where it’s safe to have meaningful conversations about the hard stuff. I’ve lived with depression for most of my life. After being diagnosed with cancer five years ago, I began to struggle with anxiety as well. Outside of the anxiety and depression, the thing I felt the most was ALONE. My journey to health and wellness left me cancer free but feeling lost, like I didn’t know who I was anymore. When I couldn’t find the community I was searching for, I decided to create it. Do you feel lost or alone? Does it feel like people don’t understand what you’re going through? Have you read all the personal development books but nothing seems to stick? Are you searching for purpose but don’t know where to start? Are you looking for deeper connections than you have in your current situation? If you said YES to any of the above, this community is for you. We’re in this together.
