Leaders Of Transformation | Leadership Development | Conscious Business | Global Transformation

How can you reframe stress and use it to build your resilience? Dr. Deborah Gilboa is on a mission to transform how people think about stress and change so they can accomplish what they need to in the world. She is a resilience expert who works with families, educators, executives, and businesses to identify the mindset and strategies to turn stress to an advantage. Known to many as Dr. G, she is a board-certified attending family physician and a leading media personality seen regularly on TODAY, Good Morning America and is the Resilience Expert for The Doctors. She is also featured frequently in the Washington Post, The New York Times, Huffington Post, and many other media outlets. Today we're going to discuss her new book, From Stressed To Resilient – the guide to handle more and feel it less. Why our brains hate change, the truth about stress, and eight key skills to build resilience in your life and career. Dr. G has used these principles with her patients and in helping turn around hundreds of organizations including a group of banks that were suffering from a high staff turnover and a major construction company that was imploding from a lack of loyalty. To replace one of your employees' costs 2-3 times their annual salary. Bleeding talent leads to bleeding cash.  Teaching your people to move from stressed to resilient stops this from happening and leads to greater productivity, happiness, loyalty and profitability. Listen as Dr. G shows us how! What We Discuss in this Episode What is stress Why we only need leaders when there is change Why change is so uncomfortable Reframing change for your employees Why adversity alone doesn't guarantee resilience 8 key skills for building resilience G's favorite skill that she would love everyone to know The good news about the resilience cycle Why the “just get through it” approach is not enough How building connections increases our resilience The importance of laughter in handling stress and change The #1 thing leaders can do when asking their team to make a decision Full Episode Show Notes: https://leadersoftransformation.com/podcast/health/434-from-stressed-to-resilient-with-dr-deborah-gilboa/

Are you suffering now? Is someone you love in a huge storm of life? Trying to walk forward in times of hardship can seem impossible.  Yet, with God, all things are possible.  He is the "fourth man in the furnace" - if you remember the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, three young men who were sentenced to die by burning as told in the Book of Daniel - when viewed in the fiery furnace, there was a fourth man with them.  It was the Lord.  He is the fourth man in all of the "fiery furnaces" of life that we go through.   This is a podcast about enduring suffering and doing it in triumph.  If you need hope and encouragement, it is in these words.  A woman who endured great suffering and who now encourages others is mentioned in the podcast.  Her name is Wendy Wallace.  If you want to visit her website, you can find it here. My interview of Wendy can be found in this podcast. It is called "Overcoming Adversity to Truly Live with Wendy Wallace." To connect with me on my website and/or social media, please go to LINK TREE. Whether it's wealth, the perfect car, the perfect house, or the perfect partner, all we are really seeking is happiness. We all have the ability to unlock happiness at will. Today's guest believes the way to do that is by growing in four pillars of our lives: relationships, business, spirituality, and wellness.   If there was a high school senior superlative for Least Likely to Succeed, that would have been Justin Schenck. At 18 years old, he found himself with a 1.7 GPA, while his mom was in the middle of a 20 year opioid battle and his dad was in jail. All signs pointed to no hope and Justin believed he was destined to fail.   At 19 years old, Justin got introduced to personal development by a mentor of his and became wildly obsessed with the idea that he had full control over the outcome of his life simply by choosing to grow. The realization that it didn't matter where he came from or what had happened to him in the past, but instead that he could shape his future with the choices that he makes in the present. This realization would set him on the path that would lead to The Growth Now Movement, which is a podcast, an annual in-person event, and of course: a movement.   Today Justin speaks across the country about overcoming adversity and creating the lives that we desire. His podcast plays in over 100 countries every single week and his forthcoming book will be released sometime next year.

Welcome to the Hellmouth Weirdos! Your favorite Morbid hosts Ash and Alaina are branching out from true crime and heading to Sunnydale for the ultimate Buffy the Vampire Slayer Rewatch podcast! Alaina is a Buffy superfan and Ash has never watched a single episode, so whether you're Team Angel, Team Spike, or have no clue who those people are…they've got you covered! Join them each week as they slay their way through the series, episode by episode, re-watching, and watching for the very first time. They'll break down Buffy and her friends adventures through weekly recaps, categories, and awards while Ash takes some (wooden stake) stabs at predicting what she thinks will happen next. They'll also welcome the occasional Buffy cast member, guest star, or celebrity superfan to join in the slaying.
