Listen to the rest of this premium episode by subscribing at patreon.com/knowyourenemy.If you pay any attention at all to political news, it's been hard to avoid Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson's recent bombshell of a book, Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, which offers behind-the-scenes reporting from the White House, halls of Congress, the campaign trail, and beyond about Joe Biden's health, mental and physical, and the efforts to conceal just how bad it had gotten from his Cabinet, Congress, and, most damningly, the American people. Much of the coverage of the book has focused on a handful of sensational examples—Biden supposedly not recognizing George Clooney at a fundraiser, or forgetting the names of staffers who'd worked for him for decades—but that's unfortunate. What's most shocking is the book's cumulative force, the sheer number of details that make it undoubtedly clear Biden was not fit to run again in 2024, or, for that matter, be President. As you won't be surprised to learn, Matt eagerly read Original Sin, and he and Sam discuss what the take-aways from the book should really be, what it says about the state of the Democratic Party, what it reveals about the media, and more.Jake Tapper & Alex Thompson, Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again (2025)Matthew Sitman, "The 'Weekend at Bernie's' Primary," Commonweal, Mar 3, 2020Sam Adler-Bell, "The Tragic Legacy of the Mourner-in-Chief," New York Magazine, Jan 14, 2025Edmund White, City Boy: My Life in New York During the 1960s & 70s (2009)— My Lives: A Memoir (2005)— A Boy's Own Story (1982)— The Beautiful Room is Empty (1988)— The Farewell Symphony (1997)— Nocturnes for the King of Naples (1978)

Today, we're discussing the profound idea that you are the creator of your narrative. This concept is about recognizing that your life is a story unfolding with each choice you make, and you have the power to author it. Whether you find yourself at a crossroads in your career, facing personal challenges, or simply seeking fulfillment, understanding that you control your own script can lead to profound changes. So, let's look into how you can embrace your role as the storyteller of your own life.3 Things You Will LearnUnderstanding Your Narrative: You'll learn how to identify the stories you tell yourself and how they shape your reality. We'll explore how your beliefs and past experiences can influence your current perceptions and actions.Rewriting Negative Scripts: We'll discuss practical strategies for recognizing and rewriting negative narratives. You'll discover how to replace self-doubt and fear with confidence and resilience, transforming the way you approach challenges.Embracing Your Creator-ship: Lastly, you will learn to embrace the power of choice in crafting your life's story. We'll emphasize that you have the tools to create a narrative that reflects your true self, aspirations, and dreams. It's essential to recognize the stories you tell yourself—those beliefs that create the framework of your identity. Oftentimes, we unconsciously adopt narratives from our upbringing, societal expectations, relationships or past experiences that do not serve our true selves. Why is narrating your story important?Too often, we find ourselves allowing others to narrate our stories, subtly or overtly shaping our identities based on their perceptions and expectations. These external narratives can seep into your consciousness, leading you to believe that you are less than, unworthy, or incapable, gradually eroding your confidence and self-esteem. Remember, your narrative is your strength; keep creating, keep thriving, and uplift your voice as a woman of power and grace. Thank you and many blessings! Please subscribe, and share this episode with the women in your life who are ready to embrace their power and grace. ♥️Dr. Mensimah Shabazz For One on One Consultations: Schedule a free 30-minute consultation: https://www.mensimah.com/harmony-consult or send Email to: agapect@mensimah.comSubscribe/support our channels:Join our Reflective/Inner Work Platform: https://www.patreon.com/mensimahshabazzphdContact Links:Website: https://mensimah.comInstagram: @mensimahshabazzphdYouTube: @mensimahsroundtableShop: https://shop.mensimah.comDonations: https://mensimahs-round-table.captivate.fm/supporthttps://www.paypal.com/paypalme/MRTPodcast

It was one of the most notorious rape trials in French history. Last year, Dominique Pelicot was convicted and jailed for drugging and raping his then-wife, Gisèle Pelicot, over the course of a decade – and recruiting dozens of other men to abuse her while she was unconscious. Gisèle Pelicot opted for a public trial, making her identity known, to raise awareness for other victims like her. The trial also put their three adult children in the spotlight. But one of them says her own experience has been overlooked. Not only was Caroline Darian forced to reckon with the shocking revelations, but also with the discovery that photographs of her were found on his computer – and with what she believes they suggest. Darian shares her journey with Piya Chattopadhyay in a Canadian broadcast exclusive interview.Note: This conversation contains frank discussion of sexual violence.

Welcome to today's episode of Wisdom Talk Radio! This is where we explore the depths of conscious living and what it truly means to live an expanded life. Join us to be inspired, encouraged, transformed and to experience a deep sense of joy and possibility. One focus I rarely get to explore here is conscious parenting. Yet it's foundational to everything else! In my work (and in my upcoming book), I'm bringing to the foreground our original connection with Presence. It is our original blessing. That's very different from original sin and all that stirs up. What if we carried that awareness into how we are with the children---our leaders of tomorrow? Stay tuned for what will be an enlightening doorway into how we can bring more consciousness into being as parents.Jay Aedo is a children's book author, practical philosophy teacher, and an international entrepreneur. His book Conscious Bible Stories approaches children's Biblical teachings from a gentler, more conscious perspective, turning away from narratives that stir up victimhood, anxiety, and self-blame at a young age. Jay believes retelling these stories will show the next generation that God wants them to feel empowered and confident in themselves, without the weight of fear and shame.Find Jay Aedo at www.consciousbiblestories.com https://x.com/jay_aedo  https://www.instagram.com/consciousbiblestories/Find Laurie Seymour at https://thebacainstitute.com/ .Follow Wisdom Talk Radio on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wisdomtalkradio Subscribe on Apple.Want to reach out to me? Struggling with sexual performance, low libido, or the effects of porn addiction? In this episode of the True Love Knots Podcast, Maria welcomes Matt Cook, who has helped over 80,000 men reclaim their sexual vitality and transform their relationships. Matt shares how early exposure to digital pornography is affecting men's confidence and intimacy and reveals how he overcame erectile dysfunction and health challenges to unlock his sexual energy. With proven techniques rooted in science, Matt offers practical insights to rebuild confidence, enhance intimacy, and reignite passion. If you're ready to reclaim your masculinity and unlock your full potential, tune in for empowering advice and strategies.   Standout Quotes: ·        “As men, especially, our sex drive—our libido—really, in a sense, determines our success and happiness in life to a great degree.” ·        “If you're conserving your sexual energy to meet a woman, and if you have a partner, it'll make your relationship better.” ·        “I think it helps a man build the power to take intelligent risks. To go out on a limb intelligently, let's say, to quit a high-paying job when he's got the skills to start a business and the courage to do that—the drive, the leadership.” ·        “I find that for men, they're better off getting away from video porn. If they're going to use porn, erotica is much less damaging to the brain and body.” ·        "Learning to focus on your root can change your perspective. You'll find that you start looking at things a lot differently. Everything becomes more colorful, better, and women can pick up on it." Key Takeaways: ·  Evaluate your relationship with pornography and consider transitioning to less damaging forms of erotica to preserve your sexual vitality. ·  Experiment with consciously relaxing your pelvic floor area during intimate moments, rather than focusing solely on the physical sensations. This can help you build your sexual energy without ejaculating as frequently. ·  Reflect on how your sex drive and libido may be impacting your overall success, happiness, and leadership qualities in life. Are there areas you could improve by optimizing your sexual health? ·  If you're experiencing sexual health issues due to medication side effects, have an open discussion with your doctor about alternative treatment options that won't compromise your intimate life. ·  Commit to a sustainable schedule for ejaculation, such as every 3-4 days, and observe how this affects your energy, focus, and connection with your partner (if applicable). Be patient and persistent as you rewire your brain's sexual pathways.   Episode Timeline: [00:02] Introducing Matt Cook [00:52] How Matt Cook Turned Personal Challenges Into Purpose [02:46] Why Sex Drive Shapes Men's Success and Happiness [04:43] Connecting Tantra Principles to Better Sexual Health [06:46] Breaking the Cycle of Porn and Health Issues in Men [07:49] Matt Cook's Practical Approach to Transforming ED [10:31] Benefits of Conserving Sexual Energy for Better Intimacy [13:10] How COVID Changed Relationships and Sexual Health [14:43] Matt's Own Story of Growth and Relationship Renewal [18:03] Tips and Resources for Elevating Men's Sexual Energy [21:33] Wrapping Up and Matt's Final Encouragement   Learn more about Matt Cook on his socials: Daily Medical Discoveries Website: https://www.dailymedicaldiscoveries.com/ Get your free book here: https://www.dailymedicaldiscoveries.com/subscribe/   Learn more about Maria Romano and True Love Knots at: Website: https://trueloveknots.com Email: maria@trueloveknots.com Phone: +1 702-501-4150

Wicked – the 20-year-old – smash hit on Broadway turns the story of the "Wizard of Oz" on its head. Now, the story of Elfaba the Wicked Witch of the West, Glinda the Good Witch, and the Wizard himself is making the shift from stage to screen. The director bringing the Broadway hit to screens across the country is Jon M. Chu, the director of the blockbuster Crazy Rich Asians. The movie version of Wicked is in many ways the culmination of Chu's own story as a person of color. Chu always wanted to be a filmmaker. Chu says his life experience and career lead him to tell the story of a person of color in a new way.For sponsor-free episodes of Consider This, sign up for Consider This+ via Apple Podcasts or at plus.npr.org.
