This feed will provide an audio feed of sermon/messages recorded each week at Del Sol Church East Montana.
Nowhere does the Bible tell us to be gloomy, depressed, or get burned out by trying to impress God with our spirituality. Instead, we are challenged to be full of joy no matter what.
There are certain people who add to your joy, walk through pain with you, and laugh with you in times of celebration. Those are the people you just can't afford to live without - and they're called friends.
There are plenty of athletes, artists, actors, and other famous people in the culture around us ...but who are the stars from God's point of view? The letter of Philippians in the Bible makes it clear that those who follow Christ are meant to be those stars in this world, so find out why it's TIME TO SHINE!
We live in a world that's all about status: how many followers you have on social media, what your title or rank is at work, how much money you make, what you drive, and so on. Yet Jesus gives us a much better standard for measuring greatness. God created us for greatness & wants us to make a great difference in the world - so come find out what GREATNESS IN AN AGE OF ARROGANCE actually looks like.
One of the biggest killjoys in life if conflict. Everything is going well, until a problem comes up in a relationship, and suddenly all the joy is gone. Thankfully God has given us a time-tested, effective strategy in Philippians for GETTING ALONG WITH ALMOST ANYBODY.
Part of having joy in life is knowing what you’re living for. Joy comes with having a singular priority that will direct and influence every area of your life.
Do you want some joy in life? The letter of Philippians will show you how to have it! It teaches us some pretty radical ways to find joy no matter what happens because it’s the most joyful book in the Bible.
In our social media-driven culture it’s easy to think we are connected, yet in reality many people feel more & more disconnected or lonely. Thankfully, God has a solution for that problem: Biblical community.
WHAT’S YOUR VISION FOR LIFE THIS YEAR? So many people live with no vision or sense of purpose beyond each day, yet God has an exciting vision for each person’s life. He wants you to discover it, protect it, and pursue it with the help of others in your church family.
Many people wander through life without a sense of purpose, vision, or mission – yet the wonder of Christmas can resolve much of that restlessness. Come learn from the example of the Shepherds to see how you can know the thrill of hope WHEN GOD MAKES YOU WONDER.
Obedience is not a word we usually associate with Christmas or with hope – yet it’s a big part of the Christmas story because biblical obedience is actually rooted in love. We’ll look at the example of Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, and find out how to experience the thrill of hope WHEN GOD ASKS FOR YOUR OBEDIENCE.
Hope is the expectation that things will get better & the confidence that the best is yet to come, because hope is a gift from God. Hope is something we all need each day. Come learn from the example of Mary, the mother of Jesus, about how to experience the thrill of hope WHEN GOD MESSES UP YOUR PLANS.
This may be called the “most wonderful time of the year” but in many ways the gifts, music, parties, and even the traditions can leave us wanting more. Instead of anticipation we can get bored & feel cynical – but it doesn’t have to be that way. This Christmas, it’s time to regain that confident expectation of good things to come as we talk about discovering the thrill of hope even WHEN GOD SEEMS ABSENT.
God is the giver of all good things – so join us as we finish up the Heart for the House message series with a special focus on growing “A THANKFUL HEART.”
Have you ever wanted to see God in your life? To see Him do something or provide something that would make life better?
God created each of us with a desire to make a contribution with our lives & to do something that makes this world a little bit better for others.
Whenever the Bible talks about financial generosity it has very little to do with how much we have or how much we make. Instead it has everything to do with the attitude of our hearts.
Have you ever felt totally unqualified to do something? You’re not alone – everyone’s been there. And yet, God specializes in doing extraordinary things through ordinary people like us. Don’t miss this, as we learn from Exodus chapters 3-4 about having “A SERVING HEART” that God can use.
There’s an important message from Jesus that will help our hearts grow – if we really listen to it. On Sunday we’ll learn from Revelation 2:1-7 about “A LOVING HEART.”
Del Sol Church is one house, many rooms. Each campus or “room” is an integral part of what God is building so we want to develop a HEART FOR THE HOUSE. This new initiative is about making room for God to do greater things in us, both individually & as a church family – and we’ll begin on Sunday by learning from 1 Peter 2:4-8 about having “A GROWING HEART.”
There’s a question we should all ask. It’s a question that should constantly be on our hearts & in our minds. In fact, we should feel driven to find the answer to this question.
If there’s one thing we’ve seen in Ecclesiastes, it’s that life doesn’t always cooperate. Life under the sun can seem meaningless … but it doesn’t have to be that way for you. Come find out why on Sunday as we finish up this series & talk about GETTING THE POINT of it all.
If you knew your life would end tomorrow, how would you live today? In many ways the point of Ecclesiastes is to help us prepare for our last day of life under the sun, whenever it may be – because wise people think a lot about death.
If God were to offer to give you one thing you wanted most in life, what you ask Him for? We all have our lists of what we’d ask for …but maybe we’re missing the most important one.
We all have hopes about money, expectations about money, and disappointments about money. It can be hard to have a healthy relationship with money. Thankfully, Solomon gives us wisdom we need in Ecclesiastes chapters 5-6 to see it for what it really is. On Sunday we’ll finally find out the answer to the financial question: HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?
Most people spend much of their time thinking about how they can be happy – yet Solomon wisely tells us how doing that is actually the very source of pain and unhappiness.
Time. Whether you feel it moves too slow or you wonder where it went, time has a way of frustrating all of us.
The book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible is a book of wisdom because it shows us how to look at the end point of our lives & then learn to live backward from there – because the end will explain everything & put it all right. We’ll begin this new series by looking through Ecclesiastes chapter 1-2 to ask a powerful question about life: WHAT’S THE POINT?
As followers of Christ we are called to step into this messy, hurting world & bring others into the healing presence of Jesus by unleashing compassion.
Loving people is crucial for building community – so we’ve got to learn to love well. The best way to learn something is to see it modeled by someone else, and without a doubt Jesus Christ is the best example of love no matter the relational dynamics. This weekend we’ll learn 4 practical ways to be truly LOVING with others like Christ is with us.
Helping people love God & others as they follow Christ, build community, and unleash compassion – this is us. It’s good to be reminded what we’re about as a church family.
God is throwing a party for His lost kids when they return home …but if we’re not careful, we can miss it. It’s possible to be in church physically yet far from God spiritually.
Last week we learned that when we run from God, eventually we run out. So what happens when we decide to turn around & go back home? How does God receive us?
Your values shape how you live & what you do in life, and they also shape our nation in one way or another. Unfortunately it seems many of our best values are decaying. So we will ask the tough question “WHERE HAVE ALL THE VALUES GONE?” – and we will also find answers & hope for recovery that starts with God.
Being a parent is tough …and it only seems to be getting tougher. With all the responsibilities a parent carries, the most important one might be determining how much to actually parent your kids. We want to help you figure that out by pointing you to the best place to find parenting wisdom: the Bible. Join us for a special message called “A PARENT’S GREATEST RESPONSIBILITY.”
We all have things that tempt us to be anxious, yet God wants us to be filled with peace instead of worry. There’s one specific thing you can do that will bring you a sense of God’s peace immediately – so be there on Sunday to find out what it is, as we finish up this series by learning about FINDING PEACE OF MIND.
We all have a way that we look at life. Many times it’s true and healthy; sometimes it’s not. Either way we can look at God through the framework of our situation, or we can look at our situation through the framework of God’s goodness.
Our thoughts determine the direction & quality of our lives. Each of us has a battle to fight in our minds, and it can get ugly if we’re not equipped to fight & win.
It’s all in your head… but what if that’s a good thing? Too often we are prisoners to our own thoughts but in this new series, we’ll have a real conversation about mental wellness as we use Scripture & science to shine light on the truth that we can change. It’s time we rewire our brains to become the people God designed us to be!
What do you do when your back is against the wall? It’s a hard place to find yourself, but it’s not hopeless! Find some encouragement about your delays, dead-end, and disappointments in life – because with God, anyone can COMEBACK FROM ADVERSITY.
Everyone faces rejection at some point in life. It feels very personal, and it’s especially hard when you get ejected because of your faith in Christ.
In many ways our lives are the sum total of the decisions we’ve made, and many people have decisions they wish they could forget or even un-do. Even though everyone fails at some point in life, failure doesn’t have to be permanent.
There’s no better time to invite someone to celebrate the risen Savior! Invite your family, friends, and non-churchgoers to one of our special Easter celebrations.
Have you ever felt all alone? Deserted? Rejected? Disowned? Nothing hurts more than being abandoned – and Jesus knows just what that feels like. This Palm Sunday we’ll hear a special message about what happened, what we can learn, and how to respond to that short time before Easter when Jesus was GOD FORSAKEN
Prayer is not automatic. It doesn’t always come naturally – yet we can learn to pray in a way that’s refreshing and new and really changes things in the best way.
There’s the reality of who we are, the place we want to be in life, and the gap between them. How do we get to where we want to be & where God wants us to be in life? We’ll finish our study of Galatians by finding out how to get there, and we’ll celebrate communion together – because in Christ we are FREE TO GROW!
God has provided just the place where you can develop the relationships you need most, be known & loved for who you are, and where you’ll find a sense of belonging.
There’s a battle we fight inside where we want to do what’s right, but we also feel a pull to do what’s wrong. It’s a hard fight but thankfully, we have God’s Holy Spirit to help us win the fight.
Our study of Galatians has made it clear: Christianity is not about morality; it’s all about Jesus. Let's celebrate how Christ has made us FREE TO LOVE & as a result, free to walk away from our sin.
