Ninety-three percent of people die with their calling still inside them. Not because they didn't dream. Not because they weren't talented. But because the moment they stepped toward the arena of play, the moment real opportunity showed up, they short-circuited. The voltage was too high for the identity they were still running on. Today, we're not just talking about stepping in. We're talking about the identity transformation required to stay in, without burning out, selling out, or tapping out. Great morning, humans. Can you truly change the world if you haven't first changed yourself? Gerard Powell was a CEO who took two companies public — and was quietly, persistently miserable. His journey from deep personal dissatisfaction and addiction to the discovery of plant medicine led to the founding of Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica, the world's first medically licensed ayahuasca retreat. Nearly 24,000 guests later, with a 98.12% self-reported transformational success rate, Gerry joins Care More Be Better to make the case that the most powerful outward impact begins with the courageous work of inner transformation. He and host Corinna Bellizzi explore the soul fracture that no amount of success can heal, the arms dealers and billionaires who left Rythmia wanting to give their lives to helping others, and the message the medicine gave Gerry when he went to her crying about the state of the world: stop the war within yourself and the other wars will go away. What if the same thing that nearly destroyed you is the reason you become unstoppable? In this episode of The Game Changing Attorney Podcast, Michael Mogill sits down with Ken Rideout, world champion marathoner, former Wall Street trader, and recovering addict whose life reads like a story most people wouldn't believe. From a rough, blue-collar upbringing in Massachusetts to winning an ultramarathon across the Gobi Desert, Ken's path has been anything but linear. Here's what you'll learn: Why toughness isn't something you're born with, and how you can teach it to yourself Why money won't make you happier, even after going from broke to wealthy What it takes to turn a failure into the fire that drives everything after Ken built his comeback one decision at a time, and this episode shows you how to do the same. In this episode of The Game Changing Attorney Podcast, Michael and Jessica Mogill answer three listener questions that reveal a pattern hiding beneath the surface of almost every high-achieving firm owner: the chip on the shoulder that fueled the climb is still there, long after the summit. From dark energy and manufactured adversity to betrayal, forgiveness, and the stories we carry from past partnerships, this episode unpacks how to evolve your fuel source without losing your edge. Here's what you'll learn: Why the dark energy that drives early success has a shelf life, and how to shift to a fuel source that doesn't cost you the people around you How to stop carrying past betrayal into your current relationships and reset your default to trust before it's broken Why rewriting the story of a painful falling out, through forgiveness and gratitude, is the move that actually sets you free You've already proven you can build something. In this powerful episode of What Are You Made Of?, Mike “C-Roc” sits down with Bob Gardner, father of six, martial artist, entrepreneur, and self-described “God nerd,” for a deeply honest conversation about addiction, identity, healing, and personal transformation. Bob shares his remarkable journey from battling a decades-long pornography addiction, crippling self-doubt, depression, and suicidality to discovering a new path rooted in truth, self-awareness, and personal responsibility.Drawing from his experiences growing up in a military family, constantly feeling like an outsider, and carrying the belief that something was fundamentally wrong with him, Bob reveals how unresolved emotional pain shaped his life and nearly cost him his marriage and family. He opens up about the moment he was forced to confront his reality, the courage it took to publicly share his struggles, and how vulnerability became the catalyst for lasting change. The conversation explores the power of honesty, the danger of identifying with your problems, and why true healing goes beyond mindset work and into the body itself. Bob explains his unique approach to helping others overcome addiction and trauma by retraining instinctive responses, shifting deeply ingrained patterns, and creating transformation from the inside out. Through compelling stories, practical insights, and profound wisdom, Bob demonstrates that no matter how broken someone may feel, change is possible when they are willing to face the truth and engage in the battle within. This episode is a powerful reminder that our greatest struggles can become our greatest purpose, and that real freedom begins when we stop running from ourselves and start discovering who we truly are.Website- https://thefreedomspecialist.com/

As the brutal conflict continues, Ukraine is fighting a war on multiple fronts—not just in the trenches, but internally within the corridors of power against a long-standing weapon of Kremlin information warfare: the accusation of irredeemable corruption. In this episode, hosts Saul David and Julius Strauss sit down in Kyiv with Andrii Borovyk, the executive director of Transparency International Ukraine, for a brutally honest assessment of where the country stands today. Borovyk pulls back the curtain on the Global Corruption Perception Index, exploring how Ukraine remarkably managed to stabilize and even improve its score during wartime—a feat virtually unheard of for a nation in conflict. The conversation dives deep into the high-stakes friction between wartime efficiency and democratic transparency, covering: The Reality of the Index: Exactly where Ukraine sits globally, how its score compares to neighbours like Hungary and Slovakia, and why the metric is about external perception rather than a direct measurement of ground-level corruption. The High-Stakes U-Turn: The dramatic, late-night political maneuvering surrounding a controversial bill aimed at bringing anti-corruption agencies under political control, the ensuing public protests, and the resulting erosion of international trust. Watchdogging under Fire: How Transparency International Ukraine operates on the policy and legislative levels, saves millions for the state budget through public procurement monitoring, and the institutional distrust surrounding agencies like the State Bureau of Investigations. The Leadership Report Card: A candid evaluation of Ukrainian leadership—from Yanukovych to Poroshenko and Zelenskyy—in their historical and current fights against corruption. The Path Forward: The heavy influence of international leverage (like the EU and IMF) on pushing reforms forward, and a sobering look at Ukraine's post-war future, demographic challenges, and shifting immigration needs. Julius Strauss writes the blog Back from the Front and also owns and runs Wild Bear Lodge, a bear-viewing lodge, in Canada. Good intentions aren't enough. Wanting to please God and live a clean life isn't enough. The incessant pressure we face is simply too much to withstand. It's like swimming against the tide. I may be able to hold on for a while, but sooner or later I'll grow weary and be carried along against my will. Unless we understand this and humbly accept our own weakness, we'll never live victorious Christian lives. This is what Paul is trying to show us. He wants us to see it's impossible to live godly lives without constantly receiving real, active help from God. So we'll understand why, he analyzes what happened to the human race when Adam sinned, and then he shows us what changes when we put our faith in Jesus... and what doesn't, that is, not yet. Knowing what does change and what doesn't change yet makes all the difference in the world. It explains why I fail and teaches me what I must do to succeed. Any Christian who has struggled with an addiction or been overwhelmed by compulsive emotions; any pastor or caregiver who has tried to help someone be released from bondage; anyone who's wondered why so many Christians fail to live the Christian life successfully will find the answer in these chapters (Ro 5-8). We and the entire church in the 21st century desperately need to understand them. Frankly, it's life and death. People are trapped and miserable, waiting for someone to teach them how to do what Paul says here. She left witchcraft. She found Jesus. She thought the war was over. It was just getting started. In this follow-up to her first appearance on the show, Jess Phoenix gets into the spirit that most Christians do not want to talk about. The Pharisee spirit. Not a demon in the traditional sense, but a religious operating system that uses scripture as a weapon, gatekeeps the gospel, and drives new believers right back into the darkness they just left. Jess breaks down how this spirit differs from Jezebel, why it can say the name of Jesus without flinching, and how it targets anyone with a testimony and a platform. This conversation is a Christ-centered, honest look at the war happening inside the church. Jess shares what it has been like to be publicly attacked by Christians for her appearance, her past, and her refusal to play by their rules. She explains the difference between conviction and condemnation, why your emotions are not the same thing as discernment, and what the fruit of the Spirit actually looks like when it is present versus when it is being faked. If you came to faith expecting peace and found a battlefield instead, this one is for you. Award-winning author Wil Haygood joins Michael Stauch to discuss The War within a War: The Black Struggle in Vietnam and at Home (Knopf, 2026) his new book on the experiences of Black soldiers during the first war fought with an integrated military, the Vietnam War. Through the lives of seven soldiers, a pianist, and a wartime journalist, Haygood details how Black soldiers' attempts to rise through their merits in the military came up against white racism within that same military, even as the Civil Rights movement scored significant gains domestically, through the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts. Highlights include: How VA employee Maude DeVictor helped expose the effects of Agent Orange on returning veterans; Pilot Fred Cherry's flight “from segregation to integration” before spending five years as the first African American prisoner of war in Vietnam; Art Gregg's distinguished career in military logistics, culminating in renaming Fort Robert E. Lee in his honor (before that fort was again renamed under the Trump administration); The power of monuments and memorials to shape public memory and inspire future generations, as in the memorial to Henry O. If you keep waiting to "feel motivated," you will keep losing to friction, bad habits, and the identity you keep reinforcing. In this episode of The Game Changing Attorney Podcast, Michael Mogill sits down with Craig Ballantyne, widely known for being "the world's most disciplined man." He didn't get there through sheer intensity or some superhuman routine, but instead by turning discipline into a repeatable system. Together, they break down why "discipline" means something different for everyone, why subtracting friction beats adding effort, and how identity and self-talk determine your consistency. This conversation is a practical blueprint for building standards that hold up even when life gets busy. Here's what you'll learn: Why discipline starts with a clear definition of success, not generic "work harder" goals How to subtract obstacles (environments, people, distance, temptations) so consistency becomes the default What it takes to shift your identity and self-talk so your habits become almost automatic Stop trying to win with willpower. Actually achieve your goals with systems. You don't understand yourself. You don't obey yourself. You can't change yourself. And deep down… you know it. There's a war within. In Romans 7:14-25, Paul gives one of the most honest descriptions of the human experience. He says, “I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.” There's a gap between who you are and who you want to be. A gap between your desire and your ability. This message isn't about pretending that struggle doesn't exist. It's about understanding it and knowing where real hope is found. In this message, Pastor Kyle explores: - Why you don't understand your own behavior - The gap between your desires and your ability - What the Bible means by “the flesh” and indwelling sin - Why trying harder isn't enough to change you - How the war within is actually evidence of real faith - Why the answer isn't a “what”… but a Who You are not the only one who feels this, and you are not meant to win this war alone. There is a Savior who meets you in the struggle and delivers you from it.

What if the fastest way to build mental toughness is to choose the hard thing on purpose? In this episode of The Game Changing Attorney Podcast, Michael Mogill sits down with Andy Glaze. Andy is an ultrarunner, firefighter, and author of Smile, or You're Doing It Wrong. He's built a following by documenting what it really takes to keep moving when your body and brain are begging you to quit. Together, they break down why high performers chase extreme challenges, what ultramarathons reveal about failure and resilience, and how to apply those lessons to leadership, business, and life. Here's what you'll learn: Why high performers deliberately seek challenges with a real chance of failure, and how that mirrors entrepreneurship. How to build durability through “time on your feet” and zone 2 discipline, instead of relying on intensity and motivation. Why learning to reframe pain, setbacks, and criticism is a competitive advantage in business and in life. If you've been waiting to feel ready before you take your next big leap, this episode will challenge that mindset. ---- Show Notes: 00:00:00 Introduction 00:02:34 Michael explains how Andy's “run 100 miles with me” videos caught his attention, and why they changed his view of human limits.  00:03:18 Andy shares how he found ultrarunning in his 30s, starting with trail running and a 24-hour Tough Mudder that pushed him into longer races.  00:05:20 What draws certain runners past marathons, including the outdoors, the slower pace, and the appeal of a longer, more unpredictable challenge.  00:07:01 Why so many ultrarunners are high performers, and how extreme races scratch the same itch as business: risk, uncertainty, and the chance of failure.  00:09:46 What a 200+ mile race feels like from the inside, how pain changes over time, and how Andy manages sleep, short naps, and fueling to keep moving.  00:23:50 The link between addiction recovery and endurance sports, and how some people redirect that drive into something healthier.  00:29:51 Andy's approach to online hate, why he responds, and how he uses it to teach people not to stop sharing their progress.  00:33:17 Why DNF matters, what it teaches, and how Andy thinks about failure as part of getting better, not a reason to quit.  00:39:08 The cost of chasing hard goals, and how Andy thinks about balance, family, and what he chooses to give up so he can train.  00:47:35 How Andy defines success, including goal-setting, long-term thinking, and building a life where he gets real time with his kids.  ---- Links & Resources: Andy Glaze Andy Glaze on Instagram Andy Glaze on TikTok Smile, or You're Doing it Wrong by Andy Glaze Moab 240 Western States Endurance Run 100-Mile Ketone IQ ---- Do you love this podcast and want to see more game changing content? This teaching titled "Winning the War Within” is taken from 2 Corinthians 10:1-6, where we learn that spiritual battles are fought in the mind, and believers must reject the enemy's lies and replace them with God's truth by taking every thought captive to Christ. This message teaches that victory comes through prayer, and relying on God's spiritual armor, rather than worldly methods or self-reliance.

God's law (the 613 commands given through Moses) is good even though it can't save or make anyone holy: it names sin, exposes what's really going on in us, and tells the truth we often try to soften or relabel. The issue isn't that God's commands are flawed—it's that there's a “traitor within us,” a sinful nature that pulls us toward what we know is wrong, creating an inner war where we do what we hate and fail to do what we want and know is right. Because the problem is within us, only someone from outside can help, only Jesus Christ. Jesus did what no one else could ever do, he fulfilled the law, took our sin on the cross, overcame it in his resurrection, and gifts his righteousness to us to free us. God's law is not the problem—it is good, the traitor within us is, and Jesus alone can rescue us.

On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, the United States is a nation at war with itself, dividing Americans into two sides: patriotic, red-blooded citizens who love their country on one side, and elected Democrats in Washington—along with their operatives, Marxists, Islamists, the woke Reich neo-fascists—on the other. The Democrat Party policies undermine national security and sovereignty, such as opening borders to unvetted illegal aliens for years, allowing dangerous individuals to remain in the country.  This includes reluctance to deport, willingness to undermine protective agencies like the Coast Guard and TSA during heightened threats, and overall betrayal.  Also, certain phony influencers, along with elements of the Democratic Party, are spreading antisemitism, embracing overseas enemies, inciting violence against Jews and Christians and providing aid and comfort to adversaries during wartime. There are escalating attacks targeting Jews and Jewish facilities, such as the attack on the Temple Israel synagogue in Michigan. Then there's the shooting at Old Dominion University by a gunman was previously convicted for ISIS support.  Later, the media is foolish for suggesting Iran needs to activate sleeper cells, as Islamist operatives are already brainwashed, self-motivated, and perpetually poised to act without any central call. These threats extend beyond Jews, as evidenced by 9/11, and more violence is inevitable, putting everyone at risk. Additionally, Iran's regime is deliberately attempting to block the Strait of Hormuz to drive up oil prices, aiming to generate global pressure on President Trump. The media and foreign actors are hypocritically amplifying complaints about rising oil costs—despite previously ignoring high prices under climate change agendas—while propagandists in the press aid the enemy and push for concessions to preserve this homicidal, genocidal regime. Finally, James Rosen calls in to discuss his book - Scalia: Supreme Court Years, 1986 to 2001. He explains that Scalia was one of the important Americans of the last 100 years. The room you're in either challenges you to grow or quietly lets you stay the same. In this episode of The Game Changing Attorney Podcast, Michael and Jessica Mogill answer three listener questions that expose a pattern most law firm owners won't say out loud: the peer groups they're loyal to have stopped challenging them, the leaders they hired aren't being allowed to lead, and the reason their team has gone quiet might be their own doing. This episode is a direct look at how necessary trust and delegation are for scaling your business. Here's what you'll learn: Why outgrowing your peer group is not a problem to fix but a signal to act on, and how to find the people who will actually push you forward How to tell whether a new leadership hire truly isn't the right fit, or whether you're undermining them before they ever get the chance Why the leaders who scale are the ones who get out of the way Stop surrounding yourself with people who tell you what you want to hear. This episode is your reminder that getting better requires truth, not comfort. ---- 09:03 — The first question kicks off a broader conversation about peer groups, truth-seeking, and why surrounding yourself with people who challenge you matters more than staying comfortable in the wrong room. 09:48 — Michael distinguishes love and support, and why the people who tell you what you want to hear are not the same as the people who help you grow. 12:48 — Why Michael's first question to any mentor is always "where am I wrong?" and what that mindset requires you to give up. 14:27 — The conversation turns to hiring and delegation, using a listener's managing partner situation to explore what it really means to bring a leader into your firm and then actually let them lead. 14:41 — Jessica raises the other side of the coin: what if the hire is actually capable and the owner is just getting in the way? 15:21 — Michael and Jessica tackle the "am I the asshole" question about a senior attorney who has gone quiet, and what it signals when talented people stop contributing. 17:38 — Michael reflects on his own evolution as a leader, from signing off on every decision to stepping back, and why the Summit ran better when he got out of the way. ---- Links & Resources: Entourage on HBO David Goggins John Maxwell ---- Learn what sustainable growth can look like for your firm at crispcoach.com. ---- Do you love this podcast and want to see more game changing content?
