The origins of one of the America's oldest unsolved mysteries can be traced to August 1587, when a group of about 115 English settlers arrived on Roanoke Island, off the coast of what is now North Carolina. Robert Hansen also known as the Butcher Baker, was Alaska's most notorious serial killer. He was active between the years 1971 and 1983, where he abducted, raped, and murdered at least 17 women in and around Anchorage, Alaska. He would lure women into his car, and then take them to secluded areas where he would then release them and hunt them as if they were wild game.
