Hi! As a soulful and kind woman, how do you feel about fairness? Chances are, good person that you are, that you believe things should be fair and people should be treated fairly. And you probably even feel a sense of injustice, perhaps even anger, when things aren't fair, right? Goodness knows, it can surely seem like there is a tremendous amount of injustice and inequity in the world and even in your own life. I used to feel just like you do, too, but to be honest, I now feel a little differently. Because I now see that because I believed in fairness, I was actually not creating the fairness I wanted in my life, but was actually creating suffering and disharmony for myself. And in this episode I dive into why there is really no such thing as “fairness” in the terms that you and I typically think about it, what that realization has meant for my life now, and what this mean for you… Because have you fully considered, how have your perceptions about injustice, inequity, and fairness shaped your life? Ponder that for a moment. As you listen, you'll discover why if you actually want less suffering and more peace of mind in your life, then you should reconsider how much you value things being fair. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Stay in your own lane. Take care, Teal
As a horsewoman, you definitely know a thing or two about poo, right? LOL! And maybe more than you really ever wanted to know… But poo has taught me so much more than just about my horse's health. And in this episode I dive into the big life lessons that my horse's poo taught me years ago, what that has meant for my life now, and what these lessons mean for you… As you listen, you'll discover why you should be more thankful than ever for your horse's poo (and it's not the reason you think!) and how that thankfulness will help you have more peace of mind and create the quality of life you want. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Everything is a lesson. Even poo.
Everybody talks about how you should stop comparing yourself to others. Comparisonitis. And if you're like most horsewomen, you've totally got the habit of seeing how you measure up against others. Not just on horseback, but also in your life, your career…even with friends and family members, right? But what if you went even a little further… What if you stopped comparing yourself to…wait for it…YOURSELF? I dig into this in this episode because the relationship you have with yourself and yourself alone is vital if you'd like to experience more peace and less stress in your life. Self-love is the foundation for less stress and more peace in your life. And getting into comparison is one of the quickest ways to destroy your self-worth and esteem… And as you listen you'll find out what I call The Stress Gap has to do with this, including why being present right now is the way out of comparisonitis. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Change can only happen when you are present with yourself right now.
As an educated equestrian, you've no doubt heard many a time how horses reflect you. How they can be a window to your soul, right? And in principle, I agree with this. As I firmly believe that the world reflects you. The world mirrors you. But there is so much more to it than just that. Because SO WHAT if your horse reflects back to you yourself? Well...that's exactly what I explore in this episode. As you listen, you'll discover that it's not just about your horse's behavior and response to you mirroring back who you are. I'll share with you how it is also how you INTERACT with your horse that shows you even more about yourself. It reveals to you precisely how you are BEing. And when you have awareness of how you are BEing, you might discover you don't like what you see very much. Or perhaps you'll find that you DO like what you see. But either way, and neither is good or bad or wrong or right, this awareness presents you with an opportunity to heal yourself. This knowledge gives you the power to choose to begin to shift how you are BEing, both with your horse and in the rest of your life, to more supportive and empowering ways. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Awareness without application is useless.

Have you ever felt some doubts creep in or feel like you're not good enough, not expert enough, not knowledgeable enough to help people through your business? No worries if you have… These “I'm an imposter” thoughts are so common for us as equestrian businesswomen and entrepreneurs. You are not alone if these thoughts and feelings have popped up from time to time. But if this is you now or has ever been something you've experienced, then this latest podcast episode is for you. Because in this episode I dive right into why you are definitely NOT an imposter, how these feelings you're having are a trick of your brain, and how you can know if you are already expert enough to help your customers and clients. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Being an “expert” is relative.
So how have things been going for you lately with chugging along toward your goals or creating those changes in your business and life? Because, if I was a betting person, I'd bet you've got some really exciting changes you're working on making – maybe with your money or your health or your relationships or your biz…right? Super exciting! But if you're like most people, it can feel sometimes like making those changes is REALLY HARD or taking soooooooo much longer than you thought. And maybe you're starting to wonder if it will really happen. Will you ever get there? Sound familiar? Then this episode is 100% for you. Because in this episode I dive right into why change can feel so dang hard sometimes or seem impossible. As you'll learn when you listen, there is actually a scientific reason why it seems this way, and it's all related to how your brain works and the laws of physics. But there is good news! Because as you'll hear, you can use these same laws of physics in your favor to actually create the change you want. So change does not have to be impossible or continue to feel so difficult. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: You only have so much energy. Use it wisely.
When things in your equestrian business aren't going quite how you'd like, most equestrian entrepreneurs look to causes outside of themselves for the source of the problem. Is something wrong with their clients, the economy, their suppliers, their marketing…? And I get it because I used to be that way, too. Looking at external things and circumstances to blame for my woes. But things didn't change until I realized that my woes weren't caused by the world. They were caused by the emotional poison I was feeding and allowing to circulate in my life and business. And what a surprise, right? Just like you, I had the best intentions for my business, so what a shock to find that me, the person who loved my business the most, was actually doing it the most harm and didn't even know I was doing it. But what is this emotional poison and how do you clean it up out of your business and your life? That's exactly what I share with you this episode. When you listen you'll find out how to spot any emotional poison in your life and the exact steps you can take right now to release, heal, and prevent that poison and the harm it causes. Because as you'll learn, becoming aware of any emotional poison in your business and removing it from your life are vital to getting your business back on track. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: It's all from the inside out.
What should you do when your prospective client rejects your offer, tells you “no”, you get silence, or they ghost you? If you're like most equestrian entrepreneurs, your first thoughts are something like, “Why don't they answer? Why don't they like me, my offer, my company? What did I do wrong? Is my offer, product, service, brand not good enough? Am I priced wrong?” And then you start feeling bad more often than not…and if this continues, you can get all wrapped up in a downward spiral of doubt, beating up yourself, second guessing, negative self-talk, and wondering if anyone will ever buy. You know what I'm talking about don't you because you've been there. We all have. Me, included. But here's the thing I wish I'd known from day one of becoming an entrepreneur. What does their silence or their “no” really mean? And that's exactly what I share with you this episode. Because as you'll learn, understanding what “no” really means helps you then understand what to do next to work toward getting more “yes's” and to also get yourself regrouped, recentered, and off that negative downward spiral. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: “No” has nothing to do with you.
So you know when you get those good ideas that just seem to pop into your head? That amazing marketing idea or plan for a new offer? Or an opportunity comes out of no where and falls into your lap? It's exciting when that happens, isn't it? You get all fired up, pumped to do it, feel like your business is amazing, the sky's the limit…and then you start thinking about how to execute it. And that's when the train starts to go off the tracks for you, doesn't it? Because now that you're thinking about how to execute on this super nifty idea, all of the logistics and commentary from your “analytical” mind pop up. What if this idea doesn't work? How will I find the time to launch this new offer? The economy isn't good, so I'd better wait. Hmmm, now that I look at this it seems way too expensive. Will there be a quick ROI? I don't know how to do this or even know where to get help. And as all these thoughts get rolling, you realize that pretty soon you've talked yourself out of your great idea, haven't you? And you end up never executing on your cool new idea. But it's not really a matter of whether it's a good or bad idea. It's really a matter that you're in the habit of staying in your comfort zone and thinking about how to protect your comfort zone. Your thoughts and actions of analyzing things to death, looking for risks, playing it safe, doubting, finding reasons why things won't work or now is not a good time, trying to control your outcomes…are all habits you have of in your thinking. And the truth is, your thought habits are holding you back. Because as much as you want to grow and change, your habits and the comfort of the “known” are far more powerful than your passion and motivation for your new idea. So you and your business stay the same. Unless you change your habits. So in this episode, I talk about how you can use just two words to start to change your thought habits and influence the success and trajectory of your business. Just TWO WORDS? Yes, that's right – though I know you may think that sounds way too easy. But what if it really IS that easy? So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: What if you win?
How are you feeling today? I'm guessing you're a bit tired and stressed and feeling a little more tired and stressed by the minute as the day takes its toll on you. From all those to-do's on your list, right? From those niggling worries that keep popping up – like about what the economy is doing and where your next sale or client will come from? And if you're like I used to be, no matter how tired you are, you just put your head down and keep pushing through. Because maybe if you get everything done, you'll feel better, feel more in control, and feel less anxious. But the truth is, no matter how hard you push through, those worries still keep coming back and you feel stressed out all over again. Because now you're even more tired…and those anxious thoughts and feelings seem even louder, don't they? It's not a fun cycle, is it? And as the worry queen and the queen of “doing more”, I have been there just like you. But in this episode, I talk about one of the most important things you can do to support yourself to bust out of the vicious day in, day out cycle of anxiety and worry. This is a secret weapon I use ALL THE TIME in my own life, changing my life to one I love. And if I can do it, you can, too! You'll learn in this episode: - How your anxiety and worry are a habit. - Why “pushing through” when you're tired and feeling worry, stress, and anxiety will actually move you backwards and farther from your goals. - Why a You First Strategy is always the answer to feeling better and to creating new habits that grow your business and change your life. - And more… So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Energy is the key to everything.
When life comes knocking with surprises, changes of plans, sales that fall through, supplies that don't deliver on time… What do you do? How do you react? And really…be honest here. I freely admit to in years past not being the most flexible person. And my choosing to not be a flexible person in my past, not bending freely and resiliently like Gumby and his trusty sidekick Pokey the pony, cost me my health, my soul, my relationships, and so much more. My inflexibility literally broke me. And maybe you can relate. But in this episode, I talk about how over the years I have done the work to bust out of that old rigidity. To free and liberate myself from the narrow confines of inflexibility in my business and in my life. And in this episode, I talk about how this has changed my life – and how you can do the same. You'll learn in this episode: - How rigidity is a source of your stress and worry. - How acting and aligning with your highest values helps support you when things go sideways. - Why your “negative” reaction to when things don't quite go your way is not bad, but is actually a powerful tool for you. - And more… So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: What doesn't bend breaks.
Judgement, criticism, complaints, whiners, haters...whatever you'd like to call them, they are everywhere. No matter whether in your business or personal life, you will be judged constantly. This is just part of the human experience. Plus, the equestrian world can be an especially judgmental place to be – even outside the show ring. And you already know this is true, right? Because how many times have you received criticism? Given criticism or passed judgement? It's so automatic and easy to do as part of how we operate culturally that if you're honest with yourself, you've probably criticized someone or something already today. Yes? Of course, if you're like most people though, receiving judgement bothers you quite a bit - some judgements more than others - often resulting in stress, anxiety, and other feelings, habits, and behaviors that hold you back from fully contributing and shining your light in this world. The thing about judgement though is that it has absolutely nothing to do with you. And in this episode, I'll dig into what criticism and judgement really mean about you and your business and how to deal with it. As you'll learn in this episode, how you choose to interpret and emotionally manage feedback is so critical to your success, well-being, and peace. And you have the power to release yourself from any hold that undesirable judgement or feedback has on you, freeing yourself to be in peace and to keep confidently showing up to grow your business. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Their judgement of you is a mirror of them.
I used to wake up every morning, immediately feel fear and anxiety, dread going to work, and then nearly or actually throw up. What a way to start the day, right? This was back in my corporate days before becoming an entrepreneur, but even after I'd started my own business and been gone from corporate for a few years I STILL had this happen to me a few times a week when I woke up. What the heck? Because I thought I'd left all of that fear and anxiety behind when I left my job. So why on earth was I still experiencing such stress, worry, anxiety, and all the mental and physical symptoms? Just like you and most people, I'd thought that changing my environment would change things for me and would eliminate all that anxiety and baggage. But clearly that is not the case…just look at my own life as an example or that of other entrepreneurs you know or even your own life. Because I'm sure you can totally relate, yes? It wasn't until years later that I realized my old career and experiences subconsciously programmed me to habitually feel stress and anxiety...even if the original source of the stress is no longer in my life. And because you're reading this, you are probably experiencing this, too. So that's what I dive into in this episode – sharing with you how these old feelings are actually a habit, how your brain is using these old feelings to try to keep you safe, and how to help yourself start breaking those stress, worry, and anxiety habits through a simple step. And as you'll learn in this episode, you do have complete POWER to change your stress habits. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Shifting out of your anxiety is an inside job.
You didn't become a successful entrepreneur by sitting on your hands and doing nothing, right? Vision, drive, planning, hustling to squeeze a little more into your day – does a lot of this sound like you? And because you're reading this, it probably does. And because hustling, doing more, going faster are ways that got you to where you are now, you would think that continuing to hustle would be the way to continue to grow your business, yeah? “I want XYZ, so how can I do more to get there?” Culturally, this is how we're taught to operate. But what if I told you that was the least helpful question to ask? It's not a matter of asking yourself how you can do more or fit more into your day to have a better life and business. It's really a matter of asking yourself how you can SLOW DOWN and do less better to have a better life and business. And that's exactly what I talk about in this episode – what slowing down really means for growing your life and business. And as you'll learn in this episode, slowing YOURSELF down shines a light on many more opportunities and possibilities for your life and business to flourish. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Amazing things can happen when you trust yourself enough to slow down.
So you woke up this morning to your usual mile long to-do list, right? And you know how sometimes even before you've gotten out of bed and your feet have hit the floor you're feeling that stress, that pressure, your mind starting to chatter. Everything in go mode. Everything in hustle mode. “Why do I always have so much to do,” you ask. “How will I get it all done?” And if you're like most entrepreneurs, you may even start feeling resentment about everything you have to do in addition to how stressed you're feeling about it. But in this episode I talk about how you can start to eliminate the stress and resentment triggered in you by everything on your to-do list and planned for your day. And as you'll learn in this episode, by giving your to-do list a critical review and then reframing how you think about your to-dos you can easily empower yourself and shift to more peaceful, supportive emotions. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Your to-do list does not have power over you unless you give it that power.
“What a coincidence!” You've probably heard that a million times and said it just as many, right? But in this episode I talk about why I don't ascribe to coincidences any more. Instead, I choose to shift my perception to synchronicities in life. And synchronicities are everywhere! But what are synchronicities and why on earth does this matter? Because if you're like me, you want peace, you want to feel empowered, you want to feel like everything is going your way, right? And as you'll learn in this episode, by shifting the way you perceive your world from coincidences to synchronicities helps you experience these things. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Coincidence is victim mentality. Synchronicity if empowerment and peace.
Have you ever had to negotiate a business contract or communicate to your partners, employees, or loved ones some expectations you have? Of course you have – as entrepreneurs, we all have. It's just a daily part of life really, isn't it? But what about when business contracts go sideways? When others aren't doing what they've committed to you? This is when it can start to feel uncomfortable and frustrating, right? Because you may feel like the contract was clear, everyone agreed and understood, you've been communicating your needs well. So how is there now this disconnect in your relationship? In this episode I talk about one of the biggest reasons why these disconnects and unmet expectations happen to you, as well as how you can navigate them while still holding onto your power. And when you have this awareness, you'll now find it easier in the future to identify aligned business partners and to successfully manage those relationships. So go ahead and listen to this episode now to discover all of this for yourself. Remember: Your values define your boundaries.
I've been reminded of late just how much the world needs us – needs you. And you might be thinking, “What do you mean the world needs me?” Well, have you fully considered just how special and unique you are? I mean, your chance of being born and even existing right now as you do on this planet is about 1 in 400 trillion according to some scientists. So yeah, I'm pretty sure just that alone makes you special and unique, don't you? As unique and special as you are, that means you also have your own unique truth, message, and help to offer the world. And I know you care deeply about helping others and are working to do so right now, or you wouldn't be here reading this. But did you know that by you just being you and sharing your truth and message has the power to help others and the world far beyond what you even realize? In this episode I talk about how much help you and your business are REALLY doing in the world, as well as give you the path for how you can easily help even more people. And the answer is not what you think. It's not about more marketing or more prospecting or hiring more people. It's about doing the ONE thing that only you, as the unique being you are, are able to do. So go ahead and listen to this episode to discover for yourself how you can serve others and help the world like never before. Remember: Shine bright.
Do you feel like you're always racing along to the next thing? That if you're not growing constantly, checking more boxes, bringing in more money all the time that you just need to keep pushing even harder and faster? You're probably nodding your head right now because culturally this is how life and business runs, right? But as I was strolling through my neighborhood this weekend I saw the most beautiful new buds on the trees just starting to come out. And this reminded me that just like the seasons and cycles of nature, your life and business also flow in seasons and cycles of their own. And when you push against those cycles of growth, rest, creativity, and rebirth, you're actually working backwards. In this episode, you'll discover how to work with the cycles and seasons of your life and business to create more of what you want. Learn how you become open and available to opportunities and growth when you actually relax, slow down, and start asking yourself the right questions. Because just like nature slows down in winter to rest, to heal, and to reenergize for the explosion of spring, you, too, experience periods where reflection, patience, and rest are needed in order for you to enter your next growth phase. And even though the trees are bare in winter, they always put out their leaves and flowers come spring. There is no doubt. So what would be possible for you if you had no doubt that your success and growth was inevitable – even when you can't see it yet? So go ahead and listen to this new episode now and discover this for yourself. Remember: Even if you don't see it, it's still happening.
How often do you feel the urge to be right? To convince someone or something, even yourself, that you are right? If you're like most people, this probably happens pretty regularly. And I totally get it because overcoming my desire to be right or to always get my own way has been one of my most challenging lessons to learn and embody. In this episode, you'll learn why it is you feel so compelled to be right or to always get your way. But even deeper than that, have you fully considered what being right is costing you? Because guess what…your need to be right is actually pushing away what it is you hope to gain by being right. And what exactly do you hope to gain by being right? Perhaps you feel that it is money, a new customer, or something owed to you by a business associate or client. And you'll discover that spending your energy and attention on being right is robbing you of the real and much bigger gain than these things you desire. It's robbing you of the most important thing you can have. Peace. So go ahead and listen to this new episode now and see for yourself how releasing your urge to be right will help you enjoy a calmer more fulfilled life. Remember: You can either be at peace or you can be right.
Do you praise, reward, and celebrate your horse and your loved ones? You're a loving, caring person, so I know you do or you wouldn't be here reading this. But do you celebrate YOUR wins and praise yourself? Just like your horse, you too deserve a juicy carrot and nice big rub on the neck for a job well done. But if you're like most equestrians and entrepreneurs, you're so busy it may feel hard for you to even notice your wins, let alone give gratitude and celebration for them. I get it – I used to be that same way with my old habits from working a fast paced, high pressure corporate job. Do, do, do. Rush, rush, rush. But the thing is, celebration and gratitude are the catalysts for MORE wins in your life. I've realized that not pausing to celebrate my wins, no matter how big or small, was keeping me stuck in a cycle. By blowing on by and rushing on to the next big thing, I was only attracting more DOING, not more wins. Why? Because everything is energy. And what energy are you sending out into the universe when you don't celebrate and give thanks for your wins each day? In this episode, I reveal to you how and why I hold space to celebrate all of my wins, and I'll share with you the process you can use to do this, too. It's not a matter of holding a huge party to celebrate your wins each day. It's a matter of redirecting your awareness and your energy to get yourself unstuck from the DOING cycle and into more abundance. So go ahead and listen to this new episode and see for yourself how praise and celebration will take your life to new heights. Remember: You won't have more until you celebrate and give thanks for what you have NOW.
How do you feel about having more success, more wins, and more good things in your life? Probably pretty good, right, because who doesn't want more wins and success in their life? The thing is though, that culturally we are taught that there is good and bad, wins and failures, success and defeat. But in my experience, there is really no such thing. It's not a matter of whether you win or fail; it's really entirely a matter of your perception. Because everything is perception – how you perceive the world and interpret what is happening around you and in your life. And then what is the story you tell yourself about it. In this episode, I'm diving into how you can win in your life, regardless of whether your life circumstances are good or bad. And as you may be guessing, this has absolutely nothing to do with what society and culture tell you is a win. I'm sharing with you my stories and methods for interpretation that have literally helped me see my world in a whole new way, allowing me to positively change my life. You'll discover that through your perception and stories you have the power to shift “failures” to success, and through this shift you'll open up possibility to attract even more of the success and good things you desire. So go ahead and listen to this new episode and see for yourself how easily you can start winning and succeeding more in your life. Remember: When you realize that EVERYTHING is working in your favor, then everything is a win.
How easy is it for you to give yourself anything? If you're like most equestrians, giving yourself praise, buying yourself something you really want but think is “too much”, or giving yourself any gifts at all can feel pretty hard to do. Culturally we are taught so many “rules” about being modest, “not doing nice things for ourselves” – things like self-care, treating ourselves to little gifts, being proud of ourselves… And this is so personal for me, too, because giving to myself is an area I still struggle with from time to time. But if you're struggling with giving to yourself, what is that saying about how you feel about and perceive yourself? Are YOU IMPORTANT ENOUGH to give to yourself? And if you feel not important enough, what does that feel like emotionally? And by feeling this way, what energy are you then operating at and sending out in the world? In this episode, I'm diving into why giving to yourself is so absolutely critical to you living the life you want. I've realized that by not giving to yourself lovingly and freely, you are actually telling yourself subconsciously that you are not worthy. And how can you expect to live and create a happy, abundant, amazing life you want if you are telling yourself this negative story? Spoiler alert – YOU CAN'T! So go ahead and listen to this new episode and see for yourself what lessons you can learn about why you should prioritize giving to yourself and how you can start doing this now. Remember: Giving to yourself is vital to creating the life you want.
How do you feel about receiving or asking for help in your personal or your business life? Or about receiving a gift from someone? If you're like many people, it may feel awkward to receive from others or difficult to ask for help – even from those closest to us. Sometimes especially from those closest to us. I recently had a personal experience with receiving help from someone I love very much, and this whole story about not wanting to accept that help bubbled up. It honestly rather surprised me because I thought I'd put this old story to bed a while ago. But you know what? I'm glad it bubbled up because it is giving me the chance to share with you how actually you receiving help is one of the most loving and courageous things you can do. In this latest podcast episode, I'm peeling back the layers and stories on why you may feel such hesitancy, discomfort, or even anger sometimes at asking for help and receiving help and gifts in your life. But if you're not open-heartedly receiving and allowing help and gifts from others into your life, you are actually not only closing the door on amazing possibility in your life, you're also devaluing your self-worth and robbing those wanting to help you of an beautiful gift. And where do you think you will be six months from now if you continue to hold on to your current stories and behaviors about asking and receiving help? So go ahead and listen to this new episode and see for yourself what lessons you can learn about why you should truly welcome help and gifts from others in your life. Remember: Open-heartedly receiving is a major act of self-love.
Something that I think is true for everyone generally, is that you want control of your life. You want to live life on your own terms, right? But if you do a little self-reflection, are you REALLY living life your life on your own terms? Or are you sabotaging your life by giving your power away to other people, things, and circumstances of your life? Even if not intentionally or you don't realize it? I can honestly say that I have been a people pleaser for years, though this is no longer true for me now. But until that last few years, I didn't realize just how much of a people pleaser I was, how often I was making life choices from fear, and how I was throwing away my power just to keep in my comfort zone. And this was of course dictating the path of my life – and my life was not looking like I'd wanted it to. And it was filled with angst. But no wonder, right? Because I'd chosen to trade off what I wanted in life in order to stay in the safety of my comfort zone through people pleasing and allowing circumstances to “control” me. I'd traded my peace and self-integrity in order to avoid judgement and bumps in the road. And by doing this I was actually self-sabotaging my life. So if you feel like you are now or have ever been in this place, too, than I understand and send you so much compassion. The thing of it is though is that you don't have to continue to stay in this place. And that's what I'm talking about in this latest podcast episode. I've learned that when I start to live my own life, when I make choices aligned with my values and my gut, when I stand firm in my power…that I start living the life I want. Doors open. Peace floods in. If you want live your OWN life and stop sabotaging yourself, then listen to this episode. Remember: If you give away your power and don't live your life, you won't get what you want in life.
Hi! One of the things I've realized over time, especially over the last two or so years, is that my thoughts and words are energy. And that they are powerful! This probably should have been more obvious to me, since as an engineer I studied and worked with energy, waves, and sound for many years. But if you're like me and most equestrians, I never looked at my words and thoughts as powerful beyond how I observed my words to actually influence the people who heard them. Or by influencing my horse through my spoken commands. (Hmm, and we won't go into how well he responded to those commands just now…LOL!) But what most people never realize, and this may be you, is that the energy of your thoughts and words influences your life on an even deeper level. Imagine the dreams you could bring to reality, the outcomes you could influence, the peace and prosperity you could open the door for in your life if you could use your thoughts and words as a tool to influence every aspect of what you want in life. And this is exactly what I'm sharing with you in this episode. Using thoughts and words as a tool for influencing what I want in my life is a constant practice, one I will always be working to master. But I want to introduce to you one way to take a step toward influencing your life by using the words “I AM.” Learn how these two words can help you shift into a more positive, powerful place and start to change your life. And if you're reading this now, then I know that you have dreams. That you have desires. That you have things you want in your life. If that's you, then take one step toward helping everything you want become a reality by listening now to this episode. Remember: Choose and wield the power of your thoughts and words wisely. Take care, Teal
So let me ask you, how many times a day do you think you “feel bad”? Once a day? Five times a day? Or do you not really notice because it is just kind of part of your life…blending in as a simmering undercurrent beneath everything else going on in your day? If you're like most people, you probably don't even realize how much of your day you're caught in negative emotions and feeling bad. And I totally get it, because this is where I used to be, too. Chipped a fence – feel bad. Got a negative comment on social – feel bad. Got cut off in traffic – feel bad. Can't pick up that dang right lead canter – feel bad. But what if you could shift from feeling bad to feeling better as easily as snapping your fingers? And that's exactly what I'm talking about in this latest podcast episode. Learn how I personally shift my negative emotions in order to move into a more positive and peaceful state – allowing me to create, to serve, and to live on a whole new joyful and empowered level. And if you're reading this right now, then I know you want that, too. Have you fully considered how having a little more peace and happiness in your day would change how you feel? And would change your life? How would your horse feel if you brought this peaceful and positive energetic state to the barn? If you're ready to live a more peaceful empowered equestrian life, listen now to this episode on shifting from feeling bad to feeling good. Remember: You have to first realize you are feeling bad in order to stop feeling bad.
If you're like me while watching the Olympics this past month, you couldn't help but say “wow” and think about how bold and courageous each rider was in the arena and on course. Impressive, right? Did you even wish that you'd ride that bravely some day? As you're thinking back, I bet this probably crossed your mind, as it did mine. But then I caught myself…What on earth am I doing comparing my “braveness” to my perception of another equestrian's “braveness”? It's not a matter of whether you think you are as courageous an equestrian as someone else. It's really a matter of whether you are courageous enough to show up for the things you want in life right now. So do you have things you want out of life? If that's you, then this podcast episode is for you. In this episode I chat with my friend, Ashleigh Kendall, equestrian mental skills and performance coach, dressage rider, and owner of Dreamtime Dressage. Through her personal stories, Ashleigh shares why showing up and living with courage every day is one of the only ways for you to get what you want in life. You might be thinking as you read this, “oh sure, I know that.” But do you really? Have you fully considered that it's all a matter of degrees and your own personal goals? No comparison to your barn mate's goals or your equestrian idol's goals. How courageous do you need to be here in the moment to do the things you need to do to have the next result in your equestrian journey? If your goal is to walk your horse quietly in a field on a loose rein, then you set your intention and energy for being courageous in that task. Nothing more, nothing less. You can see how this is the way you must show up for each step in your ride and in your life, can you not? If you're ready to lean deeper into living your life with courage, listen now to this episode on showing up for the life you want. Remember: What you want in life only shows up for you when you show up for it.

No editing yourself. No judgment here.⠀ If you're like me, I didn't picture myself or a fellow equestrian - not even a famous equestrian or Olympian rider. And even more importantly, what does this say about how you take care of yourself and fuel and support your body, mind, and spirit in your equestrian pursuits? It's not really even a matter of realizing that as an equestrian you are a true athlete. Intuition. This is one of the most powerful tools in your life. Some might even call it one of your "super powers". We all have it, but few of us truly "know" this concept and implement it in our life. As equestrians, we have the most amazing opportunity to embrace our intuition - thanks to the beautiful horses in our life. It's not a matter of thinking your way through everything with your horse. It's a matter of listening, hearing, and feeling your way through everything with your horse. That is intuition. If you're like me, there have been times when you've felt so out of sync with your horse mentally, physically, and emotionally. Or perhaps you're so busy zipping from work to barn to home at the end of a long day that all you can hear is the monkey chatter of an endless to-do list in your analytical brain. No quiet, no space, no silence in order to hear or feel what your intuition wants to tell you. To tell you wisdom and help you feel a deep sense of knowing. If that's you, then this podcast episode is for you. In this episode I chat with my friend, Joanna Bornowski, owner of The Wild Thread. Joanna is an amazing animal communicator, and she specializes in helping you connect more deeply with your horse through intuition. She shares some simple techniques that you can start applying right away to improve that bond and strengthen that relationship in ways you never thought impossible. To a degree, the strength of your bond and quality of the relationship with your horse is directly in relation to how intuitive you are with your horse. And you already probably know that one key to growth and progress with your horse and your equestrian goals is through a strong bond and quality relationship with your horse. So you can see how leaning into your intuition will help you achieve this fulfillment in your equestrian life, can you not? Ok, so ready to get started? Listen now to this episode on intuition. Remember: You won't hear until you listen.
