A serial killer patrolled the waterways of coastal Virginia for over a decade, killing at least four people, and new DNA evidence has tied the cases together. Investigators say a commercial fisherman named Alan Wade Wilmer Sr. (Pokey) is the serial killer who murdered 20-year-old David Knobling, Robin Edwards who was just 14-years old, 18-year-old Lori Ann Powell and 18-year-old Teresa Lynn Spaw Howell. They were all found in or near the waterways that Alan Wade Wilmer Sr. treated as his second home. Two were shot along the shoreline at Ragged Island Wildlife Refuge, another stabbed and dumped in the Elizabeth River near Craney Island and a young woman abducted from a Hampton nightclub. She was strangled and left alongside a roadway near a marina. Let's examine what these victims had in common and how Alan Wade Wilmer Sr. exploited his hunting grounds. Will new DNA testing reveal more victims of Alan Wade Wilmer Sr.?#truecrime, #profilingevil, #colonialparkway, #alanwilmer, #Loriannpowell, #davideknobling, #robinedwards, #teresahowell, #coldcase, #serialkiller, #virginia, #forensics, #dna, #waterman, #unsolvedmurders=======================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================LOOKING FOR WAYS TO SUPPORT PROFILING EVIL?
Listen to 144 Future Now Show Bobby is on the road this week, but we do hear from him briefly. There are some fascinating developments of late, including the development of 100x faster and much cheaper optical computing, biomimicry applied to making a painless needle and cheap non-clogging micro printer nozzles from a mosquito’s probiscus, a fish filter for sifting out microplastics from your washing machine. Meanwhile NASA has lofted a massive high altitude helium balloon into the Stratosphere above the Antarctic, to study the weather and to look for evidence of the elusive Dark Matter, yet to be seen physically. And a motherload of lithium has been discovered in a volcanic caldera on the Nevada Oregon border, enough to create Lithium based batteries for dozens of years, freeing us from the tyranny of other countries controlling the supply. We conclude with a fascinating exoplanet discovery where the atmosphere potentially rains diamonds! And Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and New Year to you!

Welcome to our podcast series from The Super Network called Tubi Tuesdays Podcast! This podcast series is focused on discovering and doing commentaries/watch a longs for films found on the free streaming service Tubi, at TubiTVYour hosts for Tubi Tuesdays are Super Marcey, ‘The Terrible Australian' Bede Jermyn and Kollin, will take turns each week picking a film to watch and most of them will be ones we haven't seen before.Gumby's Christmas Capers Starts Playing At: 00:06:34A Meowy Christmas Starts Playing At: 00:39:17 Welcome back to The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast, with hosts Super Marcey, Bede Jermyn and Trash Panda Kollin! We are celebrating Christmas in style with Marcey's pick this week or actually two picks, with a Christmas double feature! Going with a childhood classic with Gumby's Christmas Capers (1957) and something featuring cats with A Meowy Christmas (2017)! It has been a while since the show has had a double feature, consider it a gift for the season! Did the hosts manage to get in the Christmas spirit with these two watches? Tune in to find out!Gumby's Christmas Capers was part of CONtv Movie Night of Christmas Cartoons, which is the version on Tubi.A Meowy Christmas was directed by Steve Rudzinski and it stars Amie Wrenn, Aaron Fletchersmith, Aleen Isley, Jamie J. Apgar, Aaron J. Beilstein and Brian Cottington. If you have never listened to a commentary before and want to watch the film along with the podcast, here is how it works. You simply need to grab a copy of the film or load it up on Tubi (you may need alcohol), and sync up the podcast audio with the film. We will tell you when to press and you follow along, it is that easy! Because we have watched the films on Tubi, it is a free service and there are ads, however we will give a warning when it comes up, so you can pause the film and provide time stamps to keep in sync.Highlights include:* The double feature episode is back!* Gumby and Pokey are apparently Sherlock and Watson?* Did A Nightmare Before Christmas rip off this Gumby segment?* Well Gumby needs some rehab!* Oh look another Christmas movie with cats!* And a rat, who has the most New Yorker accent of all time!* And the cop is actually the worst cop of all time!* Plus much, much more!Check out The Super Network on Patreon to gain early access to The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast!DISCLAIMER: This audio commentary isn't meant to be taken seriously, it is just a humourous look at a film. It is for entertainment purposes, we do not wish to offend anyone who worked on and in the film, we have respect for you all.Music provided by DeNNo, introduction and podcast editing by Super Marcey & Bede Jermyn Hosted on Acast. Wilderness meets Modern Society -- Seth Kantner Part II Alaska's Seth Kantner is back with us, as promised, for part two. Seth was born in a sod igloo on the Kobuk River in the 1960s and has been hunting, trapping, fishing, and making a life on the land there ever since. He is the author of the novel Ordinary Wolves, considered one of the most powerful, gritty, and true-to-life Alaska books ever written. His non-fiction books, Shopping for Porcupine, Swallowed by the Great Land, and A Thousand Trails Home: Living with Caribou, illustrated with the photos that have made him a world-renowned wildlife photographer, chronicle a life, a people and a landscape tangled in the conflict between the oldest powers of nature, wildlife and wilderness and the storm of changes wrought by the modern Anthropocene. Through it all, he's maintained his profound sense of wonder, and his equally profound sense of humor. He even found time to write a children's book (Pup and Pokey) about the mishaps and adventures of a wolf pup and a porcupine surviving on the tundra. Paronomasiacs, rejoice! Pearls Gets Put in the Pokey is the 14th Treasury of Pearls Before Swine comic strips, collecting both daily and Sunday funnies originally published in newspapers and online between October 11, 2021 through April 9, 2023. How can I say this with such chronological specificity? Because a helpful note says just that in the opening legalese, that's why.

Watch out Los Angeles, Andy Frasco is BACK. Listen in as he breaks down the psychedelic weekend he had at a friend's wedding (Mazel tov, Rachael & Hunter!), and what's more: we're treated to the gift of fan-favorite and Andy's hetero life partner (plus recently married man) Dolav Cohen! You know him from his highly opinionated sports yelling, but now you get to hear a softer, sweeter side to this marvelous human being. And on the Interview Hour, find out who's been ripping off our guest: the legend AND Artist, Pokey LaFarge! He's a true gent with nary a foul thing to utter toward another human soul. We should all be so lucky to witness this fine fellow ushering in new music and maybe even a handful of little baby Pokey's to walk the Earth someday soon. We're psyched to partner up with our buddies at Volume.com! Check out their roster of upcoming live events and on-demand shows to enrich that sweet life of yours.
