Stop. Dieting. Forever. with Jennifer Dent Brown, Life + Weight Loss Coach
Let me say this louder for the women in the back: you cannot lose weight if you're stressed out. Period. You're eating clean, lifting weights, hitting your protein goals—and still, the scale won't budge. You feel like you're doing everything right, but your body's stuck in survival mode and holding onto fat for dear life. In this episode, I break down what's really going on in your body when you're stressed—and how chronic cortisol is slowing your metabolism, messing with your hormones, and blocking fat loss. I'm also sharing my personal journey of healing from adrenal fatigue, how I reinvented my lifestyle for real recovery, and my go-to De-Stress & Rest Ritual that flipped the switch on my nervous system and got my body into fat loss mode.

Reageren? Have a side hustle idea but no clue where to start? You're not alone. When Walker Ferguson and his co-founder came up with the idea for a personalized meditation app, they had zero experience in app development. But instead of letting that stop them, they figured it out as they went—finding the right people, making smart decisions, and ultimately launching their app, Ascend Meditations, in the App Store. This is Part Two of my conversation with Walker. Last time, we talked about prioritizing and how to stop wasting time, and how he balances college, football, and entrepreneurship. Today, we're diving into how he built an app from scratch—and how the same principles apply to starting any business. In this episode, Walker shares: How they took the first step despite no technical background Why building the right relationships was crucial to their success—and why it matters for your business What it actually costs to develop an app How they found the right developers and secured early funding Why waiting until you “know everything” is the worst mistake you can make If you've ever had an idea but felt stuck on where to start, let this episode inspire you to take action—no matter your experience level. Enjoyed the episode? Share it with a friend who needs that extra push to start their business! Or consider giving it a caffeinated thumbs up. We'd really appreciate it! The Language of Play - Kids that Listen, Speech Therapy, Language Development, Early Intervention
Hey Friends~ We experience play with our children in a variety of ways. One of those ways is Free Play. Free Play is completely imaginative and it is entirely directed by the child. Another way we play is Structured Play is when we use play to help our children go in the direction we want them to go. That may be learning, movement, practice, or anything really. In Structured Play, we have an INTENTION for our kids. That is why sometimes people call it Intentional Play. Kids need both to develop well! When we don't provide enough play, our kids suffer. Today's Guest tears apart some of the issues that are happening and what we can do about it for our children. Get out your Pen & Paper, or whatever you use to take notes, because you will learn a lot in this episode! Always cheering you on! What if you could instantly reduce stress, anxiety, and worry—not by changing your circumstances, but by changing how you see them? So much of our discomfort comes from labeling things as "good" or "bad," clinging to what we want and resisting what we don't. But what if these labels aren't inherently true? In this episode of Buddhism for Everyone, we'll explore the Buddhist teaching that nothing is truly good or bad on its own—it only appears that way based on our perspective. By understanding this, we gain the ability to meet life's challenges with wisdom, flexibility, and peace. So, if you've ever wished you could let go of stress, worry, or frustration over "bad" things happening, this episode is for you. Let's journey beyond good and bad—to a place of inner freedom.
