Culture happens either by default or by design. Here at Forward Church we want to be intentional about the kind of culture we are letting in our homes and our church. We discuss the importance of culture in this new collection of talks titled “CULTURE CARRIERS”
Choosing our relationships carefully is vital to staying healthy. God doesn’t just call us to nurture and initiate meaningful relationships, His Word also tells us to stay away from harmful relationships and to restore our broken ones.
The Lord’s Prayer in Mathew 6:9–13 walks us through howto pray. The Lord’s Prayer is not the only way to pray, but it does provide a guideline for how we can pray effectively.
The Bible is God’s Word. It’s His voice, constant and unchanging, speaking to a culture and a world that is always moving fast. Sometimes, it may seem impossible in the middle of your busy schedule to make time for God. Here’s the good news: holding on to God’s Word is not as hard as you think.
H E A V E N is a real place! It is also the right place, where evil is absent and there is no more sorrow. Heaven is a relational and rewarding place. God created mankind to be His family, and in Heaven, we will live in perfect relationship with one another and with God.
The Holy Spirit is our guide, our teacher, and our friend. The Holy Spirit lives within us, a source of power and comfort who guides and directs us on the journey to live a life of purpose, submitted to God.
Some of us view God as living behind a locked gate where He can’t be reached. Others think of getting to God like scaling an endless ladder, where we strain to climb and climb but never really reach the top. God’s Word says He is near to us and not remote. All God asks from us is to believe in Jesus and live in light of that redemption. The truth is that God offers Himself as a free gift to all through Jesus. With that in mind, how can we share this free gift with others? In this message we will explore the best way to share Jesus.
Many of us have some confusion about our spiritual identity. In this message we will be asking the question “Who Are We?"
Who is God, and how can we live in relationship with Him? In this sermon we learn that God is a Father who loves us. He is a Son who rescued us, and Holy Spirit who lives in us.
Fasting is a choice, but it is also obedience. In Matthew 6, Jesus talks about three duties of every Christian: giving, praying and fasting. And He doesn’t use the word if, He uses the word when. You could choose not to fast this year, but why would you? Why would you choose to stay where you are when God has so much more for you?
Light is everywhere. But it's typically only in the dark that we acknowledge the true power and meaning of light in and for our lives. In this special Christmas message, as we remember the birth of Jesus, it's important to remember the significance of the light that God has shone into all of our lives a Light that will never fade into the dark.

We run away from authority because we don't like other people having power over us we don't like to be dominated. But in this message, we learn that authority is not about domination, but protection. And only by living under authority can we learn to lead others effectively and discover God, best for our lives.

Fear saturates our society. Everywhere we turn we’re faced with a new security threat, informed about a new health risk, or warned about some kind of impending doom. But does this overwhelming presence of fear help us pursue the right path in life? Or does it pull us away from God’s purpose for us?In this new series, we will take a look at the difference between a healthy fear and a paralyzing paranoia. And through a unique perspective, the Bible shows us how we don’t have to be constantly afraid; we just need to learn to focus our fear so we can discover the kind of peace God wants for us.

Have your past failures ever kept you from reaching your potential? God doesn't want us to sit on the sidelines of our life. He wants us to move past our past.
We’ve all been there before, caught between the intention of our words and the reality of our actions. It’s not a place we ever intend to go. But the fact is, we've all done it at some point. We’ve become what we say, we despise – a hypocrite. The great news is that we don’t have to remain in that no-mans-land between what we say and what we do. There is hope beyond our hypocrisy.
Have you ever found yourself hypocritical when it comes to forgiveness? It's easy to want forgiveness but it's completely different to give it. When we forgive we get forgiveness.
Hypocrisy is everywhere. But is it something we recognize in ourselves as much as we can point it out in others? Or do we elevate and convince ourselves that hypocrisy is one thing we don’t struggle with it? In this message, we take a look at one of the strongest parables in Scripture. And as we unpack Jesus’ words of warning about hypocrisy, we discover that our own position before God determines so much of our potential in life.
“I don’t go to church, because the church is full of hypocrites.” It’s one of the biggest hurdles that keep people from church, and one that people use to keep their distance from God. But the truth is that hypocrisy is more than a barrier when it comes to faith. It’s something we all deal with every day. In this message, we will look at what Jesus had to say about this potent topic. And we discover how admitting our own hypocrisy – in every realm of life – is the prerequisite to experiencing true influence and authenticity.
The Holy Spirit is not weird or someone we should fear or avoid. Instead, He is a helper with whom we can have an intimate friendship. Our hope during this series is that we all will have a better understanding of who He is.

We are called to follow Jesus, this means you will have to follow him to Gethsemane.
In the days and weeks preceding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, three men found their way into the story. Each refused to abandon his quest for control and surrender to the Savior of the world. How can we avoid the mistakes they made?
In the Easter story, Judas tried to get Jesus to do what he wanted, without regard for Jesus’ ministry and mission. That may seem ridiculous, but there’s a little Judas in all of us.

A table is a common household piece of furniture. It’s found in every restaurant in the world. But the purpose and power behind it may be much more than we realize. In this perspective-shifting series, we discover that the role of the table in our lives has the power to change everything in our lives and in our world. It all comes down to the meal we dine on; and more importantly, what we choose to do after we eat.

Happy couples decide they owe each other everything but are owed nothing in return. But that requires effort. Every married person makes a choice every day. That choice feels more like a reaction, so most people don’t think they have a choice at all. But they do. Happy couples make the happy choice.
As long as you think your spouse owes you, your marriage will be all about keeping score. That destroys intimacy. It destroys love. But what are we supposed to do about our hopes, dreams, and desires?
We all enter into marriage with hopes, dreams, and desires. They create expectations. But when you put those expectations onto your spouse, it turns your marriage into a debt/debtor relationship. Your relationship becomes marked by the belief that your spouse owes you something. So, how do you keep your hopes, dreams, and desires from becoming expectations?
A great marriage doesn’t happen by accident. It requires care and regular maintenance. But sometimes we don’t want to make the effort. As long as it’s not broken, do we really need to talk about it?
What is your greatest need today? Do you need wisdom, power, healing, or protection? The Bible tells of men and women with the same struggles that you face today. They sought God's face through prayer and fasting for the different seasons of their lives.... and so can you.

Who needs Christmas? Well, as it turns out, we all do. But it might not be for the reasons you think.
As you know, love must be shown to be known. Right? If you don't show it, nobody knows it. And that is the message of Christmas.
