Greetings Horror Sickos, Listener, please light a circle of candles and begin to scrawl out the ancient sigils in salt, and begin the accursed chant … “Let's All Go to the Lobby, Let's All Go to the Lobby, and Grab Ourselves a Snack” That's right! Spooky season is upon us and to inaugurate another edition of Ghoulvie Screamset Horrortober, Will Massacre and Hexa Deni are back with a selection of abominable and morally ruinous films. First up, in Return of the Living Dead (O'Bannon, 1985) an assortment of punks, working stiffs and slobs accidentally expose themselves to zombie gas and help bring out the nuclear bombing of Louisville, Kentucky in this documentary about a real thing that actually happened. This hilarious and goofball horror film asks two existentially terrifying questions: What if you could feel every second of being dead? And, do you want to PARTY???? Then in The Blob (Russell, 1988), a sci fi classic gets a grisly and unforgettable remake that features Kevin Dillon playing an motorcycle riding bad boy who smokes cigs, wears a leather jacket and has to save the small town that rejects him for being too cool from a giant blob that digests and dissolves everything in its path. This episode is free, but the rest of Ghoulvie Screamset Season 3 will be paywalled!

Description: In this special episode of The Horns Over Hoops Podcast, Scott and Dan are joined by special guest TV's Travis, a lifelong Detroit Pistons fan, for a deep dive into one of the NBA's most iconic rivalries: Chicago Bulls vs Detroit Pistons. From the Bad Boys era and the Jordan Rules to modern-day battles with Cade Cunningham and the young Pistons core, we cover it all. We kick things off with some Detroit Pistons trivia (can you name the MVPs who once wore a Pistons jersey?), before hearing Travis' personal story growing up during the Pistons' back-to-back championship years, his thoughts on Grant Hill's greatness, and his memories of meeting Isaiah Thomas and Bill Laimbeer. The crew also looks back on the legendary Bulls dynasty, The Last Dance, and the infamous Malice at the Palace. Later, we debate Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin's Pistons stints, compare players like Rip Hamilton and Andre Drummond to Pistons legends of the past, and break down where both the Bulls and Pistons stand today in the NBA. Can Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, and Jalen Duren push Detroit to the next level? Will the Chicago Bulls escape their “middle of the pack” purgatory? If you love classic NBA rivalries, stories from the 80s/90s, and modern NBA talk, this is an episode you won't want to miss. Three O'Clock High is a 1987 teen comedy directed by Phil Joanou, starring:Casey Siemaszko as JerryAnne Ryan as FrannyRichard Tyson as Buddy RevellWhit Bissell Award winners Stacey Glick as Brei (Jerry's sister), and co-winners Scott Tiler & Guy Massey as Bruce and Scott, amateur documentary filmmakers.Written by Richard Christian Matheson and Thomas Szollosi.Released in 1987, a critical moment for teen comedies. Just two years prior, we got Weird Science (twice!), Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. This one didn't quite land the same way. It underperformed at the box office and didn't win over critics for the most part. So… what happened? We don't really know. But we're talking about why we liked it!Today, we're talking about this overlooked gem of the genre. Loosely riffing on the 1952 western High Noon, Three O'Clock High gives us a surreal, anxiety-laced day in the life of Jerry Mitchell. He's just a regular student who accidentally crosses paths with Buddy Revell—a hulking new kid with a violent reputation. The showdown is set: 3 o'clock, after school, in the parking lot. No escape.Unlike its teen comedy peers, this one leans darker. It's not Bad Boys, but there's definitely more blood and missing teeth than the movies above.Instead of cliques and awkward prom moments, we get likable characters squaring off against a clear villain. It's a refreshing twist—less detention hall, more clumsy sheriff-vs-bandit showdown. Also we get a killer soundtrack by Tangerine Dream!----Follow Matt:Matt has over 100+ on LetterboxdYou can reach out on Bluesky:@MovieMattSirois Terrible movies often find him, even under under the alias Marcus at Movie Asylum of the Weird, Bad and Wonderful.Follow who we follow: Once Upon a Geek and The Fade Out Podcast
Chariots of Fire + 1 Baldy 2 Mama Bears 42 Bad Boys 2 Kings 2 Chew the Bible Season 3This chapter tells the dramatic passing of the prophetic mantle from Elijah to Elisha:Elijah's Last Journey: Elijah knows his time is near. He travels from Gilgal to Bethel to Jericho to the Jordan River, with Elisha refusing to leave his side.Crossing the Jordan: Elijah strikes the Jordan River with his cloak, and the waters part so they can walk across on dry ground.Elisha's Request: Elijah asks what he can do for Elisha before he is taken away. Elisha requests a double portion of Elijah's spirit. Elijah replies it's a hard thing, but if Elisha sees him taken, it will be granted.Elijah Taken Up: Suddenly, a chariot of fire with horses of fire appears, and Elijah is taken up into heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha cries out and tears his clothes.Elisha's Power: Elisha takes Elijah's cloak, strikes the Jordan, and the water parts again—showing he has inherited Elijah's spirit. The prophets watching declare that Elijah's spirit rests on Elisha.Bald Mockers Punished: Later, some boys mock Elisha, calling him “baldy.” Elisha curses them in the name of the Lord, and two bears come out of the woods and maul forty-two of them.Your words were found and I ate them

David Waldman delivers us to Friday, where long reads and in-depth analysis are intended to be the order of the day… But first we need to address this whole Cracker Barrel thing. You'd think that a Cracker Barrel logo change would only upset some crackers, but it turns out to be a big money-losing deal. Or perhaps it was losing big money that led to the logo change. Maybe it was their peg game. Maybe it was the racism. Maybe it was the sexual harassment, the salmonella, and the racism. Cracker Barrel will need a really good logo to get out of this one, or a high White House loyalty rating. Otherwise, it will end up on the ash heap of history with the Smithsonian. Bad Boys, Bad Boys, whacha gonna do? Donald K. Trump guest stars on Cops: DC while across town the FBI raids John Bolton's home and office. Fannie Mae's Pulte/Palantir crime detection unit is powered by AI, DOGE and spite. A federal judge found that Alina Habba is unlawfully serving as US attorney for New Jersey before Alina was even halfway to the “Mar-a-Lago” in her Botox treatments. Ironically, all lawyers now become busier. A New York appeals court gives Trump a lift in his goal of appealing his way to the grave. Donald TACOs out of his vengeance upon flag burners and voters but will stick with Tina Peters until the bitter end as long as it's profitable.

Stephen Lawrence and Thomas Thompson both sat in prison, holding the proverbial keys to their own cells, for years on end. One was alleged to have stashed assets in an offshore trust before filing for bankruptcy; the other was alleged to have stashed the golden spoils of a shipwreck beyond the reach of creditors. Joined by Professor Christopher Hampson and Mac VerStandig, Judge Gunn explores two cases where people seemingly valued riches over freedom, and how those cases yielded two of the longest stretches of civil incarceration in modern American history.

Welcome to tonight's Triple Feature, where we're diving deep into three searing portraits of adolescent collapse: Bad Boys (1983), The Basketball Diaries (1995), and Over the Edge (1979). These films don't just shock or provoke—they document. They document a particular strain of American decay that metastasized during the twenty-year stretch from 1959 to 1979—a period when the traditional family structure, once upheld as a Cold War ideal, began to fracture under economic pressure, suburban disillusionment, and institutional mistrust. This wasn't a clean break. It was a slow corrosion. The result? A generation of young men left untethered—adrift in a world that could neither protect them nor punish them fast enough to matter. We begin with Over the Edge, a 1979 cult classic that captured the disaffected spirit of middle-class youth like few films ever have. Set in a prefabricated suburb designed more for investment than living, the kids here are not impoverished—but they are neglected. Their world is one of false promises and fenced-in futures. There are no fathers, not really—just overworked salesmen and checked-out authority figures. The emotional distance is palpable. This is what happens when you build communities as holding pens, not homes. The result is explosive. These teens aren't rebelling against strict parents or moral codes—they're lashing out at an emotional void.Next, we jump to The Basketball Diaries—a harrowing look at addiction and alienation set against the backdrop of 1990s New York but rooted in a true story from the ‘60s. Jim Carroll's descent into heroin addiction is often read as a personal tragedy, but in context, it's emblematic of something larger: the erosion of protective adult guidance and the seductive power of oblivion when reality offers nothing back. His mother, present but overwhelmed, is powerless to stop the spiral. Authority comes too late and in the wrong form. There's no community here, only institutions—and institutions don't love you. They process you. In many ways, this film picks up the thread left dangling by Over the Edge: What happens when the fallout of that suburban collapse reaches the inner city and there's no illusion of a future left? Finally, Bad Boys—a film that doesn't blink. Released in 1983, it thrusts us into the juvenile detention system and strips away every layer of protection we pretend still exists for troubled youth. Sean Penn's character is a product of pure hardening. There's no fantasy, no poetry, no redemption arc—only survival. The family here is nonfunctional to the point of irrelevance. The state is a gladiator pit. Violence isn't dramatic—it's pragmatic. What Bad Boys does so brutally well is force us to confront what happens when boys become men too early, too alone, and too angry. What ties these three films together is not just their focus on troubled youth, but their implicit accusation: We made them this way. Through neglect, economic expediency, and the slow abandonment of any consistent moral or emotional scaffolding, American society left millions of young people to fend for themselves. These aren't just stories of crime or rebellion. They're stories of abandonment. And that's why they matter—especially in 2025. Because while the details have changed, the pattern remains. We live in a world where young men are still falling through the cracks—only now the cracks are digital, pharmacological, or ideological.Watching these films today isn't about nostalgia. It's about recognition. It's about asking how many more generations we can afford to lose before we start reckoning with the systems that keep producing them. So let's talk about it.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59
On todays show the GANG talks about abnormal psychology, brain scans, and the potential for recidivism among child blasters. James H. Fallon's research was highlighted, showing that having a certain brain pattern doesn't necessarily mean being a psychopath. The conversation also touched on the impact of environment versus genetics on behavior, using examples like "Trading Places" and Tony Robbins. The group discussed the recent global Starlink outage, its causes, and implications. They also speculated on the potential legal consequences for Obama and other high-ranking officials involved in the Russia collusion investigation, suggesting that congressional immunity might be used to compel testimony. In the podcast, Glenn and his co-hosts discuss various conspiracy theories and personal anecdotes. They touch on a shooting incident where the first shot was the closest, but subsequent shots were inaccurate, likening it to a scene from Full Metal Jacket. Glenn shares a story about teaching his son proper Airsoft gun handling. They also mention a bar called TJ's and promote PJ's Coffee in Louisiana, highlighting its offerings and ambiance. The conversation ends with a reference to Donald Trump's response about Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein, with the hosts noting the expected nature of Trump's comments. Don't miss it.
In this episode, Judge Elizabeth Gunn is joined by attorneys Abigail Ryan and Jason Binford to discuss the astonishing saga of a relentless debtor who turned the bankruptcy system into his personal battlefield. It began when Abigail Ryan's client needed to evict a tenant for unpaid rent. But instead of leaving quietly, the tenant filed for bankruptcy, halting the eviction and launching a wave of litigation. As Abigail and Jason soon discovered, he was no stranger to this tactic, filing bankruptcy petitions on the eve of evictions, contempt hearings, and other legal trouble to stall proceedings and frustrate creditors. After exhausting his welcome in state court, where he was declared a vexatious litigant, he shifted to federal court, flooding dockets with motions, adversary proceedings, and procedural maneuvers. Join them for a riveting exploration of legal strategy, courtroom battles, and the fight to protect the integrity of the bankruptcy system from serial abusers.

Explosions, wisecracks, and that unforgettable slow-mo shirtless sprint—this week, the No More Late Fees crew is going full Michael Bay with Bad Boys! Jackie and Danielle are joined by Jamie from Millennial Misery to relive the buddy cop chaos that launched a franchise (and gave us sweaty Will Smith in an open silk shirt). From high-octane car chases to questionable wig choices, they unpack every explosive twist, behind-the-scenes feud, and fishy bathroom brawl—literally, there are fish flying during one of the fight scenes. It's Bayhem at its finest and most orange-tinted.Along the way, the trio dishes out fun facts, recasts that almost happened (Dana Carvey as Mike Lowry?!), and the messy origins of Bad Boys that somehow still gave us action movie gold. They even manage to connect it all to Dexter and Denny's. It's nostalgic chaos you don't want to miss. So grab a Coke and a smile and press play—because this episode is ride-or-die hilarious.·Season 5 Episode 13·—No More Late Fees https://nomorelatefeespodcast.com909-601-NMLF (6653)—Follow Us on Social:Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/nomorelatefees TikTokhttps://www.tiktok.com/@nomorelatefees Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/nomorelatefeesYoutubehttps://www.youtube.com/@nomorelatefees Twitterhttps://x.com/NoMoreLateFees —CONQUERingmyconquering.com10% Off Code: JACKIE10—NostaBeautyhttps://nostabeauty.com 20% Off Code: NMLF—JamieInstagramhttps://www.instagram.com/millennial_miseryhttps://www.instagram.com/hrbestiespodhttps://www.instagram.com/humorous_resourceshttps://www.instagram.com/the_chiefmemeofficerPrevious EpisodesAnchormanhttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/anchormanStay Classy Millennials: Ranking the Y2K Will Ferrell-versehttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/stay-classy-millennials-ranking-the-y2k-will-ferrell-verse
Ever wondered what happens when Hollywood meets Nashville? Actor Alexander Ludwig joins us for a fascinating conversation about navigating two of entertainment's most challenging industries with genuine passion and remarkable humility. The star of blockbuster franchises like Hunger Games and Bad Boys, whose films have collectively grossed over $2 billion worldwide, opens up about his unexpected journey into country music. What began as a chance encounter with songwriter Tully Kennedy on a flight has blossomed into a serious musical career with BBR Records. Ludwig shares how authenticity remains his north star in both worlds: "If you're trying to chase trends, you're going to lose. But if you're original and true to you, those are the ones that stick out."Ludwig takes us behind the scenes of his acting journey, from landing his first major role at 13 to the pivotal moment when being rejected for the Hunger Games lead role became "the gift of gifts" that shaped his entire career. His insights on persistence reveal a refreshing perspective on success: "The people who win in anything are the ones who just stick around long enough for a shot."As a father of young children balancing demanding creative careers, Ludwig offers wisdom about maintaining relationships while pursuing dreams: "If you say no to the dream, you will be miserable and won't be the person that person fell in love with." This philosophy extends to his approach in every aspect of life, from the 90% diet/10% exercise rule he follows for film roles to his musical choices where authenticity trumps commercial calculation.Whether you're a fan of his on-screen performances, curious about his country music, or simply looking for inspiration in pursuing your own creative path, Ludwig's genuine passion and down-to-earth perspective offer valuable lessons about staying true to yourself while navigating the entertainment industry's complex landscape. The Try That in a Small Town Podcast is powered by e|spaces! This week on Tuddle and Kristin, things go off the rails fast — just the way we like it. Tuddle digs into the rumored beef between Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, and whether Bad Boys could survive a split. Kristin is shocked to learn that Sean Connery has been dead since 2020 (yes, really). They dive into wild headlines including an alligator escape attempt from "Alcatraz," a girl who fell overboard on a Disney Cruise (and what you would do in that moment), and ask the uncomfortable question: Could you save a child that wasn't yours?Plus, Kristin tries to understand the bizarre world of ASMR porn. This one's got everything — nostalgia, confusion, moral dilemmas, and Kristin's consistently bad pop culture awareness.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
