"When we come to the end of self we come to the beginning of Christ." - C.H. Spurgeon Do you often feel misunderstood, unheard, undervalued, etc.? When we let go of the self (learn to become selfless by considering others), we show great strength; meekness. We begin to see the beautify in being nothing. And when we let Christ in at the center, we enjoy the fruit of His leading. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message
Do people often share their challenges or problems with you? How often do you respond with, "I pray for you" or "I'm going to keep you in my prayers"? Being a real-time Christian is about seizing the moment to act by praying right where and when there is a need for prayer. It's about avoiding procrastination, and acting with swiftness by inviting and acknowledging the presence of God in real-time. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message
There is no greater security in anything but the sovereignty of God. How that He is able to work all circumstances and individual events of life together to produce a masterpiece. In this video I sincerely share from my heart how the verse in Romans 8:28 consoles me, builds my faith, and drives out any form of worry and care. The simple truth of knowing God's able to work it all together for my good is one of my greatest anchors. Let me know what you think in the comments. What is the most important thing for any individual or group seeking growth or development? I think is "RESPONSIBILITY". The ability to intentionally look for what you need to be doing makes one's whole being involved in the process of growth. Growth happens to anyone who takes responsibility in life! This episode will explain the idea of responsibility and most importantly, why it is essential for growth, progress, and development. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message
Work is built into life! God Himself is a worker. I like to always imagine to myself how much work it took people to own and enjoy the beautiful and comforting things of life. I often ask myself, 'would I make the same sacrifices they made to own what they have now?'. Whatever beauty we see or desire in life requires work, there's almost always hidden sweats and toil nobody talks about. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message
The divine life of the Holy Spirit quickens the believer to live far above the cares, worries, and anxieties of the natural life. The touch of God sets a man/woman on a transcendent mission to live for a will greater than the self; God's will. It is what gives purpose and meaning in this natural life. What are you living for? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away." These were the very words of Christ Jesus to His followers. Do you often ask people how they are doing in life? Or perhaps you get asked by others. In this video I talk about how we all mostly pay little to no attention to simple questions of how we are doing in life. If we'd learn to be sincere in our responses and pay attention to the answers people give, we'd forge better relationships and give people some kind words to make them feel worthy and valuable. The next time you ask someone how they're doing in life, please pause for a moment and wait earnestly for an answer. And if you get asked how you're doing in life, please be sincere in your answer. You'll be on your way to forging quality relationships and having meaningful/impactful conversations. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message

There is a war against the family structure, especially in the church and it begins with weakening men. The devil works with tricks and schemes to use young men as channels of sin so he can steal, kill, and destroy. God calls on men to resist the devil, and he will flee from us. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message

Christ Jesus is the word. A word is the definition, expression, or explanation of something. Christ, the word is He who comes to define, express, and explain who God is. The knowledge of the foundation of love, which is that we love because Christ loved us first does 3 things in the life of the Christian believer. 1. It deals with pride. 2. It deals with our imperfections and fears, making us confident in love. 3. It makes us obedient. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message
The foundation of a thing is its fortification. During turmoil, a structure is secured and held in place mostly by its foundation. The foundation of love is in the truth that Christ loved us first, even while we were sinners. When we build our love experiences on this foundation, we are able to in the midst of difficulties and disappointments love selflessly. "We love Him, because He first loved us." --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message
Whatever the circumstances surrounding our experience into faith in Christ Jesus, one thing is certain - we did not choose God, He chose us! In the second week of our study of the book of Ephesians, we take a look at how God through His sovereign will and authority chooses us as believers. The life of the Apostle Paul, and particularly his conversion depicts this clearly than perhaps any other Apostle we read about in the Bible. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thegloryfield/message
I introduce the background and present an overview of the book of Ephesians as a prelude to an 8-week study through the book.  The book of Ephesians perhaps is the most spiritually and doctrinally packed book in the new testament. The Apostle Paul unpacks a lot of doctrine and foundational truths concerning the plan of God within which the Christian believer locates his/her identity, and all that God has wrought for them in Christ Jesus. Consequently, Paul then moves on to teach how believers ought live and conduct themselves in light of their established faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit is the most important person to the born again believer. Whether it's a personal quest to grow spiritually, or a quality one looks for in their prospective marriage partner, it's important to understand who a spiritual Christian is. As a Christian, what would be my answer to a stranger who stops me to politely ask, "who is Jesus?". My answer to this question would reveal my level of devotion, and an understanding of my faith in Christ. This is not a question that merely calls for intellectual discourse and debates, no. It is one that calls for truth, as I have encountered, by faith in the grace of Christ through His word. It is one that seeks to draw from the bowels my participation in the new covenant and divine life with Christ, in the power of His Holy Spirit. Who is Jesus, as I have beheld Him by the Word, and by the Spirit? It's a question I endeavor to answer every morning, yet I go to bed at night still pondering in my spirit with a deeper quest. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gloryfield/message
