Ever feel like we spend most of our life preparing for something more? Like we're constantly getting ready for whatever's next? God wants you and I to get our hearts ready, and as we get our hearts ready, He wants us to have our minds set, so when it's time to go, we're set to go! To go and do whatever he's asking us to do.
Jesus teaches us that there is one thing worth being concerned about, that is sitting at the Lord's feet. In a world that is full of distractions and vying for our attention, one thing is necessary and worth being concerned about. That is to draw close to God. Today, we lean in on one practical way to draw close to God in community with others and on our own.
This series is simple yet challenging. It's all about accepting the general call God has placed on followers of Jesus. To Find people we love and care about, Tell them what we know about Jesus and Bring them on the journey with us. The most important miracle we will witness in our lives is a life surrendered to Jesus as King of their lives. All other miracles pale in comparison to a heart coming to life, a life committed and devoted to Jesus. Today's message, Pastor Bob shares that as the body of Christ, we bring the presence of Jesus to the world. Where you are, He is!

In this series, our aim is to challenge followers of Jesus to truly understand the purpose of the Gospel. Accepting Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was the beginning of our journey to receive love and grace and to dispense that love and grace to others. Having the courage of truly being loved and accepted (with all the good, bad and ugly in us) and extending that same love and grace towards others. ONLY WHEN we are in community, can we ask God to allow us to use the spiritual gifts that He's placed in us. Today, Pastor Angel shares "the most excellent way" to live out our lives by walking in community and using the gifts God has given us in order to bless and serve others. We are called to love people all the way, be yourself all the way, and take risks with Jesus all the way!

In community, we cannot be fully ourselves with each other. We all belong to each other; we all need each other; we all bless each other.

In community, we engage as a church through genuine relationships by sharing our lives and the Gospel; we equip the church to grow in Christ through God's Word; and we empower the church to engage, equip, and empower others to know and grow in Jesus.

It's the week of Thanksgiving, but Thanksgiving is so much more than an annual one-day event! As Christ-followers, being thankful is part of who we are. Thankfulness is a by-product of following Jesus. In this message, Pastor Angel shares the obstacles that keep us from living a life of thankfulness and how we can develop a graduated gratitude that produces grit—the grit of gratitude.
We have the power to choose our mindset in Christ—to choose joy, to choose our thoughts, and to choose contentment. In this message, Pastor Bob reads the closing remarks from the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Philippians, shares the background of this letter and the main point of it, and shares why our mindset matters. Finally, you'll discover the three choices we get to make each day to choose our mindset.
Every one of us operates with a basic fear. The root of that fear is a lie that we believe about ourselves. What if you could know that God sees you and hears you, is fully aware of your feelings of rejection, shame, guilt, abandonment, inadequacy, helplessness, hopelessness, or worthlessness and has the remedy? The answer is to identify the lie, renounce the lie and speak God's Truth over yourself. In this message, Pastor Bob reveals four truths about who God says you are.
Through Jesus, God has met all the conditions for us to draw closer to Him. We can draw near to God with a true heart, a confident faith, cleansed hearts and be washed with pure water. As we draw near to God, we will discover that we will see the world differently, our prayers will change, we will experience joy, walk in purpose, and be bold in our true identity.
As we hunger to draw close to God, as we recognize that we desperately need God, as we ask God good questions, as we obediently receive challenges, not only will we be closer to God, but we will be walking in purpose. We will destroy generational sin passed on to us. And, we will be living in freedom. Let's live in that freedom and contend for others!
As we draw closer to God, we are reminded of His goodness which allows us to see how He reveals Himself all the time. Remembering who God is and what He has done allows us to walk in obedience to be the person God has made us to be. Don't quit! You are closer than you think!
