No, I'm not repeating myself. This week we're talking about the Marcus Nispel remake of Friday the 13th from 2009. Full of modern-style gore and…not much else, really. New York, New York it's a Hell of a town! This week Sam and Max (and special guest star Paul!) are really in for it. There's so much going on in this movie, a bunch of it takes place on a boat, there's subway third rail gags, toxic waste, and a heartwarming moment with a dog.Make sure you get your ranking in to us, there's not many episodes left before our big ranking episode.

We've got a psychic girl being experimented on for her powers, we've got Jason yet again, and we've not got a lot of plot beyond that. She breaks Jason's mask, so there's that. She also sees people getting murder in her visions and then it comes true in real life! Make sure you let us know your ranking so that we can include it in our final episode of the series!

We're back to Camp…Forest Green? Well, we all know it's still Crystal Lake underneath. The alternate title to this episode could be “Killing Horshack”, but if you've never seen Welcome Back, Kotter I don't expect you to understand that one. The dream of the 80’s is alive in Camp Redwood! It’s the final season recap for How Good Is That?! this year! We talk the newest season of American Horror Story, 1984, which pay respects to some of the great horror films of the 80’s! Witch Please! It’s time for the favorite of a lot of people when it comes to AHS! It’s Coven! Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates make their AHS Debuts, and along with Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, and Sarah Paulson earned Emmy Nominations for their roles!

Tarantino does a Nazi-sploitation action film and there’s lots of blood, gunshots, violence and death. So, you know, a Tarantino film. Hope you enjoy our take!

This podcast is Death Proof, but to get the benefit you really need to be sitting in our seat! We’re back this week with what Dan admitted was his favorite movie going in to the show, and what Darrell and Max aren’t so sure about. Kurt Russell is out there killing women and then (spoilers) meeting his match with women he can’t kill!

It’s 2 movies this week, but it’s 1 movie at the same time. We watched 2 movies, but Tarantino sees it all as one long film so we’re only going to devote one episode to it! We discuss how badass all of the characters in this film are, how much we miss David Carradine, why Tarantino’s foot fetish is really obvious in this film, and when Uma Thurman was most attractive to each of us individually.

The homages to cinema of a bygone era continue this week as our host’s digest Tarantino’s third film. Blaxploitation is the name of the game and Jackie Brown does it well! Dan, Max, and Darrell discuss seeing this movie for the first time and how their impressions of it have changed over the years as well as what it must be like to be Samuel L Jackson.

Tarantino’s second film is our second episode. This week Dan, Max, and Darrell talk some more about troublesome language, non-linear storytelling, and how cool it would be to just get to hang out with John Travolta.

The film that launched a career is the first film to launch Season 3 of our podcast! This season it’s all Quentin Tarantino films running up to the release of his 9th film “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” this July! Reservoir Dogs is one of those movies that even if you haven’t seen you probably know several scenes from because it’s such a pop culture touchstone. Dan and Max also welcome friend and fan Darrell onto the show for this season for a different perspective on things!

We’ve reached the end of this season of How Good Is That?! and with it comes the episode where we all sit down with our lists, and with some lists given to us by listeners and some other lists we gathered from the internet to talk about the order they should be ranked in from best to least-best. Are there any big surprises? Did any of our hosts change their opinions from before the rewatch? Find out all that and more!

This is the final episode of this season that’s about a thing. The only episode left this season is the ranking episode. We’ve made it feature film length this episode, so it’s also a bit of a longer one as we discuss character death, why David Krumholtz is great, and why the Operative was such a good villain.

And that’s exactly what they all are, Objects in Space. This is the final episode of the series proper, and it’s a great way to go out for the show. We finally get River as part of the crew, and we get the best villain that the series had to offer in Jubal Early. Next week we’ll have the episode for the feature film Serenity, and then the final episode of this season for the ranking.

We’ve almost made it to the end of series proper with this episode, and it’s a doozy. We’ve got tales of Inara’s past, horrible misogynistic cowboy men, sex positive sex workers, and a lot of important crew interrelations.

We actually have a message for you this week, and that’s that Dan was in a new recording space for this episode and is a bit echo-y. Our other message is that we’re very close to done with this season of the podcast. Coming this week is a cunning hat, the only Jew in space, and a dead guy in a box who has a message for Mal and Zoe.

Saffron is back? And under two different names now? What’s going on? We’re stealing a relic gun, and we might be not getting messed around while doing it. Or we will, it remains to be seen.

And the back half of the podcast begins in earnest. We’re about 2/3rds of the way through this show and we’re really getting in to the meaty episodes. This is a very heavy and serious episode, with bits of comedy provided in the way that only a Joss Whedon show can.

Guestless this week, but we’re talking about one of the best episodes for character growth that the entire show ever gave us. Jayne grows this week, River grows this week, Simon shows some interesting emotions this week! All this and more while Mal and Zoe try to steal some medical supplies.

We’ve got a guest host this week folks, and it’s a doozy of an episode. We decided that since this is one of the episodes that (spoilers) all of the four of us rank very highly, we’d invite someone who isn’t actually a very big fan of the series or this episode in general. Dylan is a longtime friend of ours, and a very particular person when it comes to the stuff he likes. This episode is one of the consensus best episodes of Firefly, so we really didn’t have too much to say other than how much we love it

Jayne, Jayne, the man they call Jayne! Here’s the episode all about him, which turns out to be a bit more contentious than I thought it would for the purposes of the podcast. Tune in as we discuss how bad of a villain they gave this episode and whether we think Jayne is actually a good guy.

The first appearance of Saffron! This ended up being a more contentious episode that I think any of us thought it would be. But I guess that’s the downside of doing a review podcast, you end up looking at things a bit differently that you used to. This episode is great, though, as all of them are.

Right back in to another contentious episode this week, but this time it’s Dan who has issues with the character depictions. Well, Max has some issues with them as well, but Dan’s the bigger naysayer this time. We do also have positives to talk about this week, so it’s not all doom and gloom.

And boy is it a shindig. We’re wearing frilly dresses, punching guys, and accepting duels we didn’t know we initiated. We’re also talking about the fact that some of us have issues with this episode and others have issues we didn’t realize we had.

This is one of the closest things to a bottle episode we get until “Out of Gas” and it’s also a pretty contentious one for our hosts, with Max and Jayrod having very different opinions as to its quality.

Our second episode, their second episode, but they showed it first. The first in a line of poor decisions made by Fox. We meet more characters this episode, are reintroduced to all of the ones we met in the last episode, and see a guy get kicked into an engine!

Season 2 of How Good Is That is upon us! The first season was all Dan and Jayrod and all Marvel movies. This season, all four of us (adding Max and Paul!) are together to talk about how much we love Firefly. We're going to watch every episode of the show and the movie and then rank them according to which one we each think is best! This episode we start off double-length talking about the proper pilot to the show, Serenity.
