We are a digital ministry spreading the message of Jesus Christ in a socially distant world. Our mission is to see people uplifted and encouraged by experiencing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every week we bring you interviews with musicians, artists, pastors, and people who are living a life of faith. We also offer morning devotionals three days a week.
We live in a distraction filled world. There are so many different things vying for our attention. We have a goal that we need to be focused on, sharing the love of Christ. Could you imagine a world where the disciples were distracted to spread that message? The church would never exist today. Let's talk about it on this week's Monday morning moment.
It feels so good to be back! It feels like the church is splitting at the seams. There are so many reasons why. Today, let's talk about one shall we? Jesus isn't the messiah. Hopefully, that statement made you shake with anger, but this is something that is being taught in churches across the country. As we prepare for Holy Week, let's hear what Jesus himself had to say about whether or not He is the Messiah. You can watch the entire video hereAll things Mission 41:10 here
Did you know, that within you is a battle. It's a battle that is as old as time. It is a battle that begins when we are born and doesn't end until we die. What is this battle? Find out on this mornings Monday Morning Moment. All things Mission 41:10"What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us? But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”[c]Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." James 4:1-10
We all like to think we are wise, some of us more than others. While wisdom isn't a bad thing, the source of your wisdom can cause an issue. Hear what James has to say on this weeks Monday Morning Moment. All things Mission 41:10"Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness." -James 3: 13 - 18
It seems like we tend to glorify those who say the things that we are thinking. Is that how we should be though? OUr words that we speak are important, they have the power to construct people or destruct them. Hear hat James has to say about our words in this weeks Monday Morning Moment. “For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.” James 3:7-12
Thoughts and prayers! It seems to be the go to answer for Christians. While the intentions are always good, sometimes it just isn't enough. Hear what James has to say about thoughts and prayers in this weeks morning moment. All things Mission 41:10
In our society we seem to esteem people who have influence, money, and power. What if those people are within our churches? How is it that we are supposed to treat them? Find out on this weeks Monday Morning Moment. Mission 41:10 Website
We spend a lot of time and energy trying to build up an outward appearance that will impress people. The only problem is that these appearances begin to mask who were really are. James, the brother of Jesus, actually had something to say about this in his letter found in the Bible. "Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:26 - 27 Mission 41:10 Website
Do you think tests are for students? Think again, as followers of Christ we are assured that we will face tests of many kind. Hear what the book of James has to say about tests on today's Monday Morning Moment. "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do." James 1:2-8Facebook Instagram

There are times where I have asked myself where is God in all of this? That's the beauty of the Christmas season, God has given us a gift to remind us that he is always here.
