Jonesy / The Think In Your Armor
We see "Ideological Monopolies" all over the place and they always seem to lean dangerously left! The mainstream news media, The mainstream entertainment media, obviously the socialist & communist nations of the world, the tech-giant social media firms! What other left-leaning ideological monopolies do we suffer that institutional level?! I think we're well overdue for some ideological trust busting. Do you agree?
In this episode, I compare and contrast sports commentary with political commentary. I ask why "conspiracy theorist" is a weaponized term within the realm of politics but "doping theorist" is not within the realm of sports. I posit that the acknowledgment of conspiracy in government should match that of the widespread acceptance of cheating in athletics.
In this episode, I discuss what a morally sound marxism would look like in my opinion. As opposed to the struggle between the Bourgeoisie and the proletariat, or the oppressor and the oppressed; I believe the most important inter-group struggle for which to mobilize is that of the conspiratorial elites against the masses.
I discuss the revitalizing commonalities among the proverbial child, artist, and conspiracist. All three archetypes offer a fresh lens with which to view the same world, we've grown absent-minded.
Roy Moore's loss and the deep state's win are one in the same. I discuss how I feel about this.
Your Brother Jonesy on blurring the lines between debate and dialogue for the benefit of mankind. Get some!
If an autoimmune disease is a condition arising from an abnormal immune response to a normal body part, a cultural autoimmune disease is an abnormal and aggressive cultural response to normal and healthy part of a given culture. Can you spot any cultural autoimmune diseases at work within your own society? I bet you can!
Rambling away on keeping the general public's attention on suspicious narratives as peddled by the MSM. If we fail to do so and a false narrative is solidified as the public record -that's a home run for them! If we demonstrate collective tenacity in digging for truth and stamina in staying engaged with nonsensical storylines as they come down to us, we will rob some home runs and hopefully grand slams from those that aim to repeatedly and perpetually deceive us!
Do a quick internet search on Ivan Pavlov and his dogs, the scientist from whose name we derive the adjective, Pavlovian. Think about if you witness similar behavior from Humans within the realm of political discourse as exhibited by Pavlov's dogs when he would ring the bell for food time!
PPS - Pavlovian Political Sycophancy, it's often on displays at award shows within the entertainment industry. PPS is defined by the shallow, predictable and manipulable response of a given person or crowd within the parameters of political discourse.
As opposed to the role of "Father Figure" that so few of us are cut out for, many more of us can leverage the concept of "Brother or Sister Figure" to do our parts at contributing to the civilizational conversation taking place within the Alt-Media-Independent Content creator landscape.
Do you have a Podcast, YouTube channel or other variety of independent media platform that's gone dormant? It's time to revive your aspirations of individuation within the civilizational conversation, online and elsewhere! In the hideous face of relentless spin from mouthpieces of the Establishment-Old Guard-Unadmittedly Agenda Driven-Unadmittedly Biased Media, the world needs your very own point of view, unique unto you.
Freedom of speech is important, not so folks can hit the bullseye on their first shot but so we can build together and refine each other's ideas. In this Episode, I discuss kernels of truth and core accuracies. If you have a new and interesting insight which turns out to be only partially correct, the correct portion of that insight will prove to be a valuable entity unto its self. I don't peddle in FULL confidence of my ponderings, in this vein, but rather present to the world how I think I may be "on to something" - whenever that occurs.
In the political and social discourse of today, there are particular pre-judgments and presuppositions which have been mainstreamed and go largely unchallenged in the public sphere. I challenge the unchallenged of any such attitudes or beliefs. If you adamantly proclaim to have arrived at a societal answer, I adamantly command that you "show your work".
How would you define the relationship between political correctness and self-actualization? Is it a good one? Symbiotic? Mutually beneficial? I dare say it is not. I dare say that for many individuals there is a negative correlation between observed political correctness and self-actualization and that we shouldn't stand for it.
Lest we forget our freedom, we ought to use it in our quests to be our best selves. Lest we waste our liberty, we ought to cooperate in a synergistic meeting of minds, a civilizational brainstorm in which individualism serves the individual as well as the collective. To be out for one's own interests and also the interests of all mankind need not be mutually exclusive motivations, in fact, the combination of these goals can maximize the extent to which each is achieved. Start by independently defining what role you'd like to serve your society.
Are you tired of being force-fed political views from venues and channels that don't nominally specialize in politics, and channels that narrowcast but don't own up to it? Don't let yourself explode - Spit out the feeding tube.
With recent challenges to free speech and expression and pervasive intolerance of intellectual diversity in western societies, I decided it was important to discuss the moral culpability of individual participants in the collectivized tyranny of our times. Where there is intentional and socially engineered group think, we should consider using the phrase "social tyranny".
In this podcast, I reflect on John Stuart Mill's 1859 philosophical work On Liberty about the struggle between authority and individual liberty. I relate the ideas espoused in On Liberty to the zeitgeist of NOW, suffice it to say Johnny Boy is rolling over in his grave!
The Triple Package on Blinkist by Amy Chua and Jed Rubenfeld is a very intriguing analysis of three characteristics integral to the disproportionate success of certain cultural groups within society. I'm sorry for a bit of redundant rambling as I recorded this one late and I aim to polish up my radio skills asap! My personal take on the triple package is that it is a useful formula to distill from a broader cultural context to an actionable success plan for individuals!
My initial thoughts on the state of media within the mainstream, alternative and future domains.
What could be in an ancient saying? Quite possibly, a fresher perspective than you'd think.
I stumbled upon the concept of Ikigai (roughly translated as a reason for living) by reading the Blinkist for Blue Zones. In this 20 minute cast, I shoot on my instinctive thoughts and feelings regarding this lifestyle concept native to Japanese and Okinawan cultures and its potential usefulness for content creators and small business owners. My interpretation of a dream about fettuccine shoelaces and what it means to me in a business sense.....Helping oneself and others organize and systemize productivity and progress as succinctly as possible.
