Send us a textHave you ever silenced that inner voice—the one warning you something wasn't quite right? That nagging feeling before making a poor decision, the discomfort in a healing session that didn't align with your energy, or the instant knowing that a diagnosis feels off? Today's exploration dives deep into our most underutilized superpower: intuition. We've been systematically programmed to dismiss our internal guidance system in favor of external authorities. Whether it's the doctor's white coat, the friend's well-meaning advice, or the spiritual teacher's credentials, we've learned to override our gut instincts when they conflict with these outside voices. This disconnection leaves us vulnerable, dependent, and ultimately separated from our authentic selves. Through compelling real-world examples and personal stories, we examine how this pattern plays out repeatedly in our lives, creating consequences we could have avoided by simply trusting ourselves. The journey back to self-trust begins with recognizing the difference between resonance and dissonance—those feelings of alignment or misalignment that speak volumes if we'd only listen. Your body's wisdom communicates through physical sensations, emotional responses, and subtle knowings that deserve your attention rather than dismissal. By reclaiming this internal compass and walking away from the external programming that's kept us small, we step fully into our power and sovereignty. In this summer reflection episode, I'm sharing a small story—just a quiet moment at an airport breakfast counter—that brought me back to the kind of person I want to be. It's a simple action, one that no one asked for or expected. But it reminded me that our small choices matter… especially now. Because let's be honest: it's not always clear what the “right” choice is anymore. Social norms are shifting fast. Families have vastly different beliefs about what should be taught in school. Everyone's following their own path, and as educators, we're constantly navigating conflicting expectations. You can't make everyone happy. And trying to please every person or reflect every worldview just leaves you feeling pulled in a dozen directions. So how do you decide how to show up—when there's no one-size-fits-all answer? For me, it comes back to personal integrity. To who I want to be, even when there's no rulebook. This episode is an invitation to use this summer season to realign with your inner compass and reflect on what kind of world you want to help build—starting with the small, almost invisible choices you make every day. We'll reflect on: Why integrity and empathy are more important than ever in a divided world How to center your actions around who you want to be (not who you're expected to be) Questions to help you define your personal values and vision Ways to leave things better than you found them, even in tiny, almost invisible ways This isn't about perfection. It's about intention. It's about being the kind of person who shows up with clarity, even when no one's watching. And it's about using this summer to reconnect with the kind of world you want to help create. Get the shareable article/transcript for this episode here.

If you've ever wondered how the monthly solar gates affect your energy and direction, you're in the right place! Human Design reveals how these cosmic energies create themes that influence everyone on the planet, and today we're breaking it all down.## In this episode, you'll discover:- How May kicks off the Quarter of Civilization - bringing your unique ideas into form- Why trusting your inner direction is the theme of early May (and how to stop controlling everything!)- The power of expressing your unique insights when the throat center activates- How to recognize when you're dimming your light to fit in (and what to do about it)- Ways to focus your natural skills and talents as we close out the month## Key Concepts We Explored:We start May in the Quarter of Civilization - where purpose is fulfilled through form, and where our carefully initiated concepts get concretized. This quarter activates all the gates of the throat center!(11:11) Gates 2 & 1: Direction & Self-Expression (May 3-8) These G center gates remind us to follow our inner compass rather than external expectations. When balanced in these energies, you naturally trust your path and allow the right resources to flow toward you. No need to control everything!(29:09) Gates 23 & 43: Assimilation & Insight (May 9-13) These individual circuit gates help you translate complex, novel ideas into language others can understand. It's about giving voice to your unique insights in ways that connect with people - especially when asked!(45:10) Gates 8 & 14: Contribution & Power Skills (May 14-19) This configuration encourages authentic self-expression and using your natural resources to make meaningful contributions. When you're true to yourself, you naturally empower others too.(53:35) Gates 20 & 34: Awareness & Power (May 20-25) The channel of charisma brings raw sacral power into expression through the throat. It's about being fully present in the NOW and following what calls to you in each moment.(01:10:08 ) Gates 16 & 9: Skills & Focus (May 26-31) We close the month with energy supporting enthusiasm for mastery and focused attention. Without agreements, we can't demand accountability from others. The Inner Compass for Men: A four-step framework for growth: Determine who you are – Define your values.Be what you believe – Align actions with values.Show up for the consequences – Own your impact.Do better than yesterday – Commit to growth.On-Ramps vs. Backflips: Creating accessible entry points for change is more effective than demanding instant transformation.Reframing Masculinity: Instead of just telling men to "do better," we must emphasize healing, self-awareness, and personal growth. The Role of Love & Compassion: Engaging men in change requires making them feel seen, valued, and invited—not shamed or discarded.Jeff and Boysen explore the paradox of isolation vs. connection, the power of self-awareness, and how men can build a healthier masculinity in uncertain times.Learn more about Jeff: https://higherunlearning.com/Text Us Your Feedback!
