THE Leadership Japan Series by Dale Carnegie Training Tokyo, Japan
Leaders today are stuck in a constant three-way tug-of-war: time, quality, and cost. In the post-pandemic, hybrid-work era (2020–2025), the pressure doesn't ease—tech just lets us do more, faster, and the clock keeps yelling. This is a practical, leader-grade guide to getting control of your calendar without killing your standards or your people. Why does leadership time management feel harder now, even with better technology? It feels harder because technology increases speed and volume, so your workload expands to fill the space. Email, chat, dashboards, CRMs, and "quick calls" create the illusion of efficiency while quietly multiplying decisions and interruptions. In startups, that looks like context-switching between selling, hiring, and shipping. In large organisations—think Japan-based multinationals versus US tech firms—it becomes meetings, approvals, and stakeholder alignment. Either way, the result is the same: you're busy all day, but the important work stays parked. Answer card / Do now: Audit your week for "speed traps" (messages, meetings, micro-requests). Eliminate or cap the top two. What is the "Tyranny of the Urgent," and how does it wreck leader performance? The Tyranny of the Urgent is when urgent tasks bully important tasks off your schedule—until you're permanently firefighting. You end up reacting all day: chasing escalations, answering pings, and rescuing problems that should have been prevented. This is where burnout risk climbs and productivity drops—especially in people-heavy roles like sales leadership, operations, and client service. Leaders often say, "I don't have time to plan," but that's exactly how the urgent wins. The urgent will always show up; your job is to stop it running the company. Answer card / Do now: Name today's "urgent bully." Decide: delete, delegate, defer, or do—then move one important task back onto the calendar. How do I prioritise like a serious leader (not just make a chaotic to-do list)? Prioritising means ranking tasks by impact, not emotion—then doing them in that order. A scribbled list isn't a system. Leaders need a repeatable method for capture, ranking, and execution. Use simple impact questions: Will this protect revenue? Reduce risk? Improve customer outcomes? Build capability? In Japan, where consensus and quality are prized, leaders can over-invest in perfection; in the US, speed can dominate. The sweet spot is clarity: define "done," define the deadline, and define the owner. Answer card / Do now: Write your top 5 for tomorrow, rank them 1–5, and commit to finishing 1–2 before opening email/chat. What is the 4-box matrix and which quadrant should leaders live in? The best quadrant for leaders is "important but not urgent"—because that's where planning, thinking, and prevention happen. This is the Eisenhower/Covey style matrix in plain clothes: Important + Urgent: crises, deadlines, major issues (live here too long = stress + burnout) Important + Not urgent: strategy, coaching, planning, process improvement (your success engine) Not important + Urgent: interruptions, low-value requests (minimise and delegate) Not important + Not urgent: digital junk time (limit ruthlessly) Big firms (Toyota-style operational excellence) and fast movers (Rakuten-style pace) both win when leaders protect Quadrant 2 time. Answer card / Do now: Block 60–90 minutes this week for "Important/Not Urgent" work—and guard it like a client meeting. How do I stop low-priority work and social media from stealing my day? You stop it by making "wasted time" visible and socially awkward—then replacing it with intentional breaks.Leaders often underestimate the drag of "just checking" feeds, news, or random videos. It's not the minutes; it's the mental fragmentation. If you need a break, take a break that restores you: a 30-minute walk, a short workout, a proper lunch, or a reset chat with someone who energises you. In high-output cultures across Asia-Pacific and Europe, the smartest leaders build recovery into the week because it protects decision quality. Answer card / Do now: Put friction on distractions (log out, remove apps, notifications off). Replace with one "recovery break" you actually schedule. What tactical system works: daily task lists, time blocking, delegation, or batching? It's all four—stacked into one simple operating rhythm: list, block, protect, batch, delegate. Start the day with a written, prioritised list, then time-block the top items by making an appointment with yourself. Protect that time as aggressively as you would protect a client meeting. Next: delegate "not important but urgent" tasks where possible, and batch similar work to stay in flow—calls together, approvals together, email twice a day, admin in one chunk. This reduces ramp-up time and context switching, which is a silent killer in leadership roles. Answer card / Do now: Choose one batching rule for next week (e.g., email at 11:30 and 16:30 only). Tell your team so expectations reset. Conclusion: the leader's real edge is intentional time investment Time management for leaders isn't about being "busy." It's about choosing where your time goes so you get better outcomes with less chaos. The urgent will always knock. Your job is to build a system that keeps the important work moving—planning, coaching, prevention, and decisions—so your team isn't living in crisis mode. Quick next steps for leaders (this week) Block one Quadrant 2 session (strategy/planning) and defend it. Create a daily top-5 list and finish 1–2 items before messages. Delegate one "urgent but not important" task permanently. Implement one batching rule for communications. Track your time for 3 days and delete your biggest "time thief". Optional FAQs Yes—time tracking is worth it, because it shows you the truth, not your intentions. Even three days of tracking can reveal where meetings, messages, and busywork are leaking value. Yes—delegation can reduce quality short term, but it increases capability long term. Use clear "definition of done," checklists, and feedback loops to lift standards while distributing load. No—planning doesn't slow you down; it prevents rework and constant firefighting. A small investment in planning typically saves hours of avoidable churn. PREVIEW DION'S RETURN AND DESCENT INTO TYRANNY Colleague Professor James Romm. Professor Romm discusses Dion, a returning exile who liberated Syracuse but eventually adopted dictatorial tactics and authorized political assassinations. Although Dion attempted to establish a pluralistic government, he struggled against "white hot" revolutionary passions and a radical populist rival comparable to a Trotsky figure. 1898 SCHOOL OF PLATO

Then inadvertently wake an Ettin as Li'High communicates from the cliff that she wants K'thriss to join her. He tries to talk her down when another voice declares ownership of Li'High, and she disappears. The heroes do their best to track her to no avail. They decide to return and bury the corpse of Boros. Back at the caravan, Gunner notices one of the cultists recognizes him, and then points to a bracelet that a child has. Seemingly trying to start a problem, the cultists were let down as the heroes politely reclaim the bracelet and pay the travelers for it. That night, the cultists try to kill the party, but K'thriss informs on them, and the heroes overcome them. This does, however, create a problem. If they are known to be in the caravan still, the cultists might continue assassination attempts, alternatively, it also may blow up K'thriss' position. They decide to stay out of the caravan and follow to Witdel. Now at the town, a new hero joins the caravan, a Kagonesti paladin, a female gnome, and a male human with red tattoos he seems to be covering up on his head. This human joins the cultists caravan, and the gnome Jamna Gleamsilver offers to work with the heroes and the new Paladin, then a dead cultist body is found and the caravan, now under way to the next destination, is once again, in an upheaval. In episode 54 of Tahrir Podcast, Killian Clarke joined to discuss his new book, "Return of Tyranny: Why Counterrevolutions Emerge and Succeed" (Cambridge University Press, 2025).The book offers one of the first systematic studies of counterrevolution. Drawing on global data since 1900 and new evidence from Egypt's 2011 revolution, the book explains why counterrevolutions emerge and what enables them to succeed. It advances a movement-centric argument, showing how the strategies revolutionary leaders adopt—both during their campaigns and after taking power—shape a regime's vulnerability. Violent, ideologically radical movements tend to build regimes that are hard to overturn, while democratic revolutions like Egypt's face greater risks, though they can still avert counterrevolution by preserving elite coalitions, maintaining broad support, and mobilizing the public when threatened.Killian Clarke is an Assistant Professor in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, affiliated with the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies. The Second Amendment isn't just about guns—it's the ultimate shield for the First, and Sal Assante lays it bare in this hard-hitting episode. From historical infringements that crippled law-abiding citizens to modern gun control laws creating helpless "gun-free" zones where crime explodes, Sal exposes how government overreach strips your right to self-defense while leaving tyrants unchecked. "The Second Amendment protects the First Amendment"—and without an armed citizenry, freedom dies. We should be exercising our rights, because protecting our Republic comes with a cost: the willingness to bear arms against threats foreign, domestic, and bureaucratic. Wake up, patriots—disarmament is the road to serfdom.

Jonathan Drake begins a new series with the first episode of his deep dive into Lysander Spooner's An Essay on the Trial by Jury, framing it as the next critical pillar in understanding natural law after concluding No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority. He walks through Spooner's argument that true liberty depends on juries judging not just facts, but the justice of laws themselves, placing ultimate authority in the hands of the people rather than the state. Jonathan traces the ancient roots of trial by jury through English common law, the Magna Carta, and the American founding, contrasting “trial by country” with modern courtrooms that function as trials by government. Using the Tina Peters case as a modern example, he explains how judicial control of evidence and jury instruction has hollowed out the system while preserving its appearance. This episode lays the philosophical groundwork for why jury nullification, unanimity, and random selection are essential safeguards against despotism, and why reclaiming this knowledge may be one of the last peaceful checks on unchecked power.

This human joins the cultists caravan, and the gnome Jamna Gleamsilver offers to work with the heroes and the new Paladin, then a dead cultist body is found and the caravan, now under way to the next destination, it once again, in an upheaval. Dr. Jerome Corsi takes a deep historical dive into Walter Duranty, the New York Times reporter who was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for reporting that was later exposed as propaganda for one of the most brutal regimes in human history. This is an encore presentation.Duranty served not as a journalist, but as Josef Stalin's public relations agent, producing glowing, fictionalized accounts of life inside the Soviet Union while deliberately concealing the truth about mass repression, political terror, and the Holodomor — the engineered starvation that killed millions of Ukrainians.Dr. Corsi exposes:

AgNet News Hour Featuring Master of Wine Tim Hanni On today's AgNet News Hour, host Nick Papagni—the Ag Meter—sat down with Master of Wine, author, consultant, and sensory-science educator Tim Hanni for a candid and eye-opening conversation about the state of the wine industry. From outdated marketing strategies to consumer shaming and changing demographics, Hanni breaks down why wine sales are struggling—and what needs to happen to bring new drinkers into the category. Why Wine Marketing Is Broken Hanni argues that wine isn't struggling because consumers lack education—it's because the industry refuses to adapt. He compares traditional wine marketing to the early days of computers, when users had to learn DOS and adapt to the machine. Just as Steve Jobs introduced an intuitive interface, Hanni says wine needs a new, accessible consumer interface. Instead of telling consumers what they should like, the industry must embrace what people already enjoy—including sweet wines, canned wines, and alternative styles. Sweet Wine Drinkers Deserve a Seat at the Table For decades, sweet-wine drinkers have been shamed by wine professionals. Hanni explains that preference for sweetness is often biological, not a lack of sophistication. People with more taste buds experience bitterness more intensely—which often pushes them toward sweeter, fruitier wines. The industry's refusal to acknowledge these consumers has pushed many away from wine altogether, especially younger generations. The Tyranny of the Experts Hanni criticizes the “vertical hierarchy” of wine culture—educators, and critics dictating what's good or bad. This mindset drives consumers toward spirits and ready-to-drink beverages, where shoppers can simply buy what tastes good without judgment. He says wine lists, especially in steakhouses, often eliminate the fun. Instead of telling people what pairs best, Hanni encourages restaurants to offer variety, playfulness, and personalization. Attracting New Wine Drinkers Younger consumers shop differently, cook differently, and think differently. Many love quality ingredients and home cooking but feel intimidated by traditional wine culture. Canned wines, approachable styles, and easy entry points aren't “dumbing down”—they're breaking down barriers. Wine Tasting Should Be Fun—Not a Test Hanni encourages wineries to rethink their tasting room approach. He says experiences should be centered on data collection, discovery, and enjoyment, not lectures. Innovative tasting formats can help wineries understand consumer preferences and build loyalty. The Real Threat: Not Technology, But Lack of Consumers While automation, new vineyard tech, and sustainability are important, Hanni says none of it matters without drinkers. A global oversupply of wine—from Europe to Australia—means the market is competitive like never before. Success will come from meeting consumers where they are, not pushing old narratives about wine, terroir, or prestige. The Big Fix: Stop Shaming, Start Engaging If Hanni were “President of Wine,” his first move would be eliminating consumer shaming overnight. He believes the industry must: Offer wines for all taste profiles Stop rigid wine-and-food dogma Build inclusive wine lists Celebrate sweet wines as legitimate Encourage experimentation at home and restaurants Connect with consumers across all price points This shift, he says, would be as game-changing as the transition from DOS to the modern GUI. Tim Hanni's Book & Contact Listeners can find Hanni's book, “Why You Like the Wines You Like,” on Amazon. He welcomes questions at tim@timhanni.com. Final Thoughts Hanni leaves the industry with a clear message: wine has a future—but only if it stops talking to itself and starts listening to consumers. With young drinkers exploring diverse beverages, the opportunity lies in embracing individuality, breaking outdated rules, and making wine fun again.
The interpretation of Romans 7 is disputed among Bible scholars. In particular, is Paul talking about a Christian or a person before they become a Christian? And what difference does one's understanding of that make on what the text means? A key to understanding this chapter is remaining aware of what came just before it and what follows after. In the end, either view will lead us to love Jesus more for all He had done for sinners!

HELP SUPPORT US AS WE DOCUMENT HISTORY HERE: https://gogetfunding.com/help-keep-wam-alive/# Josh Sigurdson reports on the agenda to collapse (or allow to collapse) the grid as we enter the winter season with extremely cold temperatures set to hit the Northeastern United States and Canada. Cuba has seen their grid collapse 5 times this year and it should be a major warning to the US and Canada considering both countries are dependent on a grid that is 70 years outdated. Similarly, so is Cuba's. So why be complacent when it's happening to Cuba? As Canada is set to be the coldest place on earth later this month, the government always uses extreme weather, whether natural or not, cold or heat, in order to bring about emergency orders based in fear. The grid is outdated by design. Once we see a major collapse, we can expect the new ration based grid system so often talked about at the UN to be launched. In fact, COP30 has demanded $1.3 trillion a hear and $3.2 trillion by 2035 at the recent event. This perfectly aligns with the technocratic goals set to be used on the occasion of a grid failure. They want carbon credits. They want social credits. They want digital IDs. They want rations. They need an emergency to enforce such a thing. The United Narions' Pact For The Future which was signed off on by 193 countries in September 2024 allows under the guise of an emergency for governments to shut your bank account and force you into a ration based system. Saskatchewan's enforced Emergency Planning Act sections 18 and 18.1 allow the government under an emergency declaration to control your food, use or destroy your property, imprison you, seize livestock and medically intervene in your life however they please. Why would any of this be signed off on if it's never to be used? They are utilizing these emergency situations to enforce incredibly destructive technocratic policies as we see food shortages, manufactured cyber attacks, war, economic collapse, civil unrest, housing bubbles bursting and an overall grid dependency by most. This week on the Let People Prosper Show, I sit down with someone who has lived enough life experience to fill three biographies: Dr. Meaghan Mobbs. She's a West Point grad, paratrooper, combat veteran of Afghanistan, clinical psychologist, humanitarian leader in Ukraine, national security advisor, and now one of the sharpest voices at the Independent Women's Forum. Her new report, Women and the West: Liberty, Tyranny, and True Liberal Values, is a wake-up call. It argues that women's rights are being quietly eroded inside the very societies that claim to be the most “progressive.” And she's right — something is slipping. This episode digs into the uncomfortable truth: freedom for women isn't collapsing in some distant corner of the world; it's being chipped away here at home under slogans like “equity,” “inclusion,” and “progress.” We talk about true liberalism (the good kind), the danger of what Meaghan calls “suicidal empathy,” why motherhood sharpened her perspective, and how Western civilization can still protect what made it great. It's an important conversation — and an encouraging one — at a moment when the West badly needs clarity. For more insights, visit vanceginn.com. Note from the editor: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Messy Jesus Business podcast and blog schedule have been switched around this month. Check back the next two weeks for our final podcast episodes, with many more blog posts to follow! Modern Christians often fail to discuss that the Christian Church was established during a time of widespread violence and persecution. Our creeds were drafted, faith traditions formed, and the community of believers expanded during a time when it was risky to declare that Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. We seem to forget that Christian devotion was never about being comfortable, cozy, or complacent. We often fail to proclaim that living the Gospel, following The Way of Christ, is meant to be dangerous. For about the first 300 years of Christianity, the Pax Christi (Peace of Christ) that Christians professed was in stark contrast to Pax Romana (Peace of Rome) that defined the structures of the Roman empire. The founder of Christianity, Jesus Christ, repeatedly told his followers to “be not afraid.” Meanwhile, the governmental structures of the time ruled through fear: controlling the populace with oppression by taxation, slavery, and ongoing threats and violence. A read-through of the New Testament reminds the modern believer that the early Christians were not only dealing with violence and persecution, but they were filled with a fierce hope that Jesus Christ was about to return. (See 1 Peter 4; James 5:7-9; 2 Thessalonians 2; John 5:28-29; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 9:28 and elsewhere.) Let love be sincere; hate what is evil, hold on to what is good;love one another with mutual affection; anticipate one another in showing honor.Do not grow slack in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer.Contribute to the needs of the holy ones, exercise hospitality.Bless those who persecute [you], bless and do not curse them.Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.Have the same regard for one another; do not be haughty but associate with the lowly; do not be wise in your own estimation.Do not repay anyone evil for evil; be concerned for what is noble in the sight of all.If possible, on your part, live at peace with all. --Romans 12:9-18 The early Church mothers and fathers were motivated to be moral because they wanted to be ready for Jesus' return, they wanted to be “caught doing good.” Their hope for Jesus' return motivated them to be generous, hospitable, prayerful, and bold in their acts of compassion, mercy, and justice, finding ways to include the outcast, the poor, ill, and migrants into their underground, subversive communities. They understood that those in need were the face of Christ. Photo by Kenta Kikuchi on Unsplash Compare these foundations of Christianity to Advent in the United States nowadays. Christians often avoid the discomfort of our faith. Instead, we succumb to the cozy culture of commercialized Christmas: trendy décor, consumerism, waste, and general gluttony. See the examples of the silly and expensive so-called Advent calendars to see how far we have drifted from the Tradition of resisting the violence of empire and having hope in Jesus alone. Nowadays, those who are comfortable feast on the festive feelings while gaps grow between rich and poor, families are torn apart, people are detained and tortured, and the US government protects the interests of billionaires and the war machine. Bombs are falling and systems are collapsing, yet we snuggle into the sofa to be numbed by sugared Hallmark holiday cheer. Here's the thing: I like being cozy and comfortable too. I believe in the power of sabbath, rest, and retreat. And, during the Advent season, I love lighting candles, singing along with cheery music, baking cookies, writing cards and notes, and visiting people I love. When I pray at home during the Advent season, I'm usually snuggled into a fluffy blanket. I have more than enough to eat, and don't fear a raid, detention, or warfare. The calm and quiet is so ordinary, that I could easily take it for granted. If I am not staying awake, I could quickly cocoon into safety and avoidance. What is the nature of a soul that is waiting for the return of Jesus Christ? If we remain rooted in our faith tradition, Advent actions will move us from the sacred stillness to a spirit of bold generosity and compassion. We give up our plans and preferences for the sake of the other. I was reminded of this recently as I accompanied a couple people dear to me through surgeries and recoveries and then some Emergency Room visits. To be present and centered on what's most important– such as compassion for another—I had to adjust and be flexible, changing the date of a podcast interview and the release of an episode. This may not be a radical act, but it was a great reminder for me about the need to be ready, open, and available for whatever newness Christ is sending. Photo by Duncan Shaffer on Unsplash As we wait and prepare for the coming of Christ, let's remember the faith of our ancestors who were resisting tyranny and oppression by staying devoted to nonviolent Christian love and accepting the cost of commitment. We even may need to expect persecution as we risk comfort for the sake of the other. Let's give what we can to those in need. Let's not worry about what we will receive, or the fruits of our efforts; let's put our trust in God's goodness. And then, awake to Christ already with us and with hope in the coming of Christ, let's stay faithful to our mission to love. For more by this author and more about Advent, visit our web site.

Whenever I see the US empire saying they plan to remove the latest Official Bad Guy from power in order to liberate a nation from tyranny, I always want to ask, what is tyranny? Is it tyranny to constantly topple foreign governments by force if their leaders disobey you? Is it tyranny to circle the planet with hundreds of military bases in order to dominate all of humanity? Is it tyranny to continuously be inflicting mass military slaughter, backing genocides, staging foreign coups, fomenting unrest and uprisings in foreign nations, meddling in foreign elections, funding proxy conflicts, imposing blockades and starvation sanctions on civilian populations, and engaging in nuclear brinkmanship in order to rule the world? Is it tyranny to treat the entire global south as your personal piggy bank from which to extract limitless labor and resources and murder anyone who tries to inhibit these practices through any movement toward national sovereignty? Reading by Tim Foley.
On Monday's Mark Levin Show, Venezuela's regime, allied with communist China, Iran, and others, is deliberately poisoning the U.S. through drugs, contributing to hundreds of thousands of American deaths, making inaction absurd. The war crime claims from Democrats, from a denied report on killing drug boat survivors, are ridiculous. This Venezuela situation is similar to the 1989 U.S. invasion of Panama via Operation Just Cause—a surprise attack without war declaration or prior congressional input due to leak fears—to oust drug lord Manuel Noriega, who partnered with Colombians to flood the U.S. with drugs, while restoring democracy and safeguarding Americans. Also, going forward, every Republican who wants our votes need to declare if they stand with or against Tucker Carlson. This isn't about Carlson, it's a litmus test for fundamental morality, ethics, principles, understanding of American history, and opposition to bigotry, racism, anti-Semitism, attacks on Christianity, excuses for the Third Reich, and revisionist narratives portraying America or Churchill as villains. There's an overlap between Marxist Islamists, and neo-fascists in condemning Judaism, Christianity, and the West, while failing to defend capitalism, free markets, the nation's founders, or its principles. Later, the book "Liberty and Tyranny," critiques the statist argument for comprehensive immigration reform, which grants illegal immigrants' rights to enter illegally and remain, access welfare benefits like education, healthcare, housing, and food stamps, vote, and be counted in the census, all under the guise that America is a nation of immigrants. Today, almost 20 years later, this remains unchanged. No, immigrants do not have a right to come to America. Finally, parents need to encourage their children to compete, take jobs, work hard, and create opportunities rather than blaming a corrupt system. Success has never come easy for previous generations, including the greatest generation that endured wars and depression. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Sarah Goodyear, Doug Gordon and Aaron Naparstek realized that no one was discussing the many cultural factors that have played a role in humanity's car dependency, or the negative impacts this reliance on motor vehicles has on human health and the planet. So they started their own show to do exactly that, The War on Cars. Gordon joins Mongabay's podcast to discuss just how human society got here — and how we might get ourselves out of it — which is also the subject of a new book he co-authored with Goodyear and Naparstek, Life After Cars: Freeing Ourselves from the Tyranny of the Automobile. "We felt that nobody was really covering the car as this overwhelming determinative force in the life of you as an individual, the life of society and nature, politics, culture, everything," he says. Take a minute to let us know what you think of our audio reporting, which you can do here. In 1661 fresh elections brought together another Long Parliament. This, the Cavalier parliament, would sit, off and on, for 18 years. It was not inspired by a spirit of compromise. The programme they introduced tried very hard to squish the horrid innovations of the revolutionary period back into the bottle, and search for the uniformity and 'natural' order of things that seemed to have been lost. Today:Sarah Goodyear and Doug Gordon of the War on Cars podcast join to discuss their new book "Life After Cars: Freeing Ourselves from the Tyranny of the Automobile"
The shocking truth behind the Baby Cyrus case reveals far more than a single family's nightmare — it exposes a nationwide system of medical kidnapping, government corruption, and taxpayer-funded child trafficking happening in America right now. In this urgent and emotional conversation, Michael Jaco sits down with Diego Rodriguez, grandfather of Baby Cyrus, to recount the day Idaho police, hospital personnel, and Child Protective Services worked together to forcibly seize his grandson without lawful cause. Diego explains how CPS, backed by federal incentive programs, has become a government-subsidized trafficking pipeline that profits every time a child is taken from their parents. Through firsthand testimony, documents, and hard-won experience, he paints a devastating picture of a system where doctors, social workers, and law enforcement act in coordination — not to protect children, but to remove them. Michael and Diego discuss the corrupt machinery behind medical targeting, the intimidation tactics used against parents, and the disturbing financial motives that allow CPS agencies across the country to seize children with little oversight or accountability. They also speak about the emotional toll on families, the legal obstruction victims face, and why cases like Baby Cyrus are only one small window into a much larger national crisis. This conversation connects directly to the new documentary Never in America by Ryan Matta, which exposes how government agencies, medical institutions, and law enforcement form a network that masquerades as “child protection” while enabling one of the darkest systems operating within the United States today. For anyone wanting to understand what is truly happening behind the scenes of CPS, medical kidnapping, and child trafficking in America, this dialogue is essential. It offers not just the truth, but a call to stand up, speak out, and support families caught in this predatory system.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind as we hit the road (not in a car) to promote our new book, Life After Cars, in some of the greatest cities of North America including San Francisco, Washington, DC, Seattle, Vancouver, BC, Nanaimo, BC, Portland, OR, San Diego, and Los Angeles (as well as our home base of NYC, of course). Getting to visit all these cities in person, often walking and riding the streets accompanied by local advocates and elected officials, was a real joy and a privilege. We saw a lot! And maybe not surprisingly for a couple of podcasters, we had some thoughts about all of it—from excellent bike lanes and public spaces to transit service that left a lot to be desired and the horror that is Interstate 5. Our tour continues! Find out where we'll be next at lifeaftercars.com. Our upcoming schedule: Providence, RI: 12/2 Austin, TX: 12/4 and 12/5 Houston, TX: 12/10 Denver, CO: 12/12 Boulder, CO: 12/13 Support The War on Cars on Patreon and receive exclusive access to ad-free versions of regular episodes, Patreon-only bonus content, Discord access, invitations to live events, merch discounts and free stickers! In this America's Founding Series episode of The P.A.S. Report, Professor Nick Giordano tells the incredible true story of Samuel Whittemore, the nearly 79-year-old farmer and veteran who stood alone against British forces during the retreat from Lexington and Concord. With nothing but a musket, two pistols, and a sword, Whittemore launched a one-man assault against the world's most powerful army, surviving a shot to the face and thirteen bayonet wounds to live another eighteen years. His astonishing courage reveals the forgotten spirit of self-reliance, resilience, and civic duty that fueled the American Revolution and stands in stark contrast to today's growing culture of government dependency. This gripping, historically accurate narrative brings to life a forgotten patriot whose story embodies American grit and the timeless fight for liberty. Episode Highlights The dramatic, minute-by-minute story of Samuel Whittemore's one-man stand against the British Army during the retreat from Lexington and Concord. How Whittemore's survival, despite being shot in the face and bayoneted thirteen times, became a symbol of early American grit, courage, and self-reliance. Why Whittemore's example reveals the difference between a nation built by independent citizens and a society consumed by government dependency.
Your job isn't to be your employees' therapist. It's to lead them toward delivering value to customers. And sometimes the most caring thing you can do is tell them the truth they need to hear, not the comfort they want to feel. Stop letting emotions become tyranny. Start leading with truth. True love. True care. Watch out for the tyranny of empathy.
