Too many guys are still believing the lie that customers won't pay higher prices. Listen—if someone's calling a plumber, they're already sold. Nobody wakes up hoping to drop cash on plumbing, but when they need it, they need it now. You're not selling copper or PVC—you're selling today. You're selling their time, their peace of mind, their life back. And if you show up looking like a garage sale, don't expect to get paid like Nordstrom. Give options. Give price perspective. Make it easy to buy. Stop apologizing for charging what the job is worth and start acting like a real business. This episode breaks down how to shift your mindset, present your value, and get paid today—because broke pricing is a choice.

In this special "From the Vault" episode, I dive deep into the biggest and most frustrating marketing myths that circulate in the world of membership sites. After more than a decade of helping membership owners, I've heard it all—from secret silver bullets to outdated pressure tactics.I unpack the myths, the nonsense, and the misleading advice that could be steering your membership off course.Join me as I challenge some of the most common misconceptions and share what actually works for building and marketing a successful membership. In this episode:Why is the idea that you have to pressure people to "buy today" potentially harmful to your membership business?Do you really need scarcity tactics to effectively market and sell your membership? Is it true that "a good product sells itself" and what role does audience building play in your success?Do you need a massive audience to launch and grow your membership, or can dedicated superfans be enough?Key Quotes & Takeaways:“Successful marketing is all about getting the right message, to the right person, at the right time.”“Some people are just not ready to buy when you're ready to sell. Your business and how you market it is actually more about being there when someone is ready to buy, rather than trying to force the sale too quickly.”“If you're not able to connect the dots and to compel people to put their hand in their pocket and pay you for the solution to their problem then it doesn't matter how great your membership is, it doesn't matter how great your product is. “Build it and they will come” is not a valid strategy.”Thank You For ListeningWe really appreciate you choosing to listen to us and for supporting the podcast. If you're stuck in remodels or new construction, it's time to pivot to residential service and start charging what you're actually worth. In this episode, we break down how to know your honest hourly rate, factor in every cost of doing business (yes, including your time), and stop treating your business like a hobby. And if you're still playing bank for your customers—waiting days or weeks to collect—that's on you. Collect at the time of service, stop the cash leaks, and finally start building real profit.

In this episode, Robert Llewellyn sits down with Feann Torr from @carsales to unpack the electric vehicle revolution transforming Australia. From BYD and MG to Tesla and Hyundai, they discuss how Chinese automakers are shaking up the industry and driving EVs to become the most affordable option on the market. Feann shares his insights into the rapid rise of EV interest — growing from 30% to 37% of Australian car buyers — and explains how China has become the country's third-largest source of car imports. They also discuss how Chinese EVs are winning the price war, the psychological shift that's making electric cars feel like “just another car” to new buyers, and why the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is converting even the most loyal V8 fans. Finally, Feann and Robert couldn't help but get just a little excited about the groundbreaking potential of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology and what it could mean for an energy-independent Australia. https://www.carsales.com.au/ 00:00:07 - Global EV Adoption: Norway, China, and the General State of Growth 00:01:47 - Introducing Feann Torr & Carsales Australia's Editorial Focus 00:02:38 - EV Price Parity: The Electric Car is Becoming the Cheapest Option 00:04:30 - Feann's Background, from Video Games to the Automotive Crossroads 00:06:08 - The Chinese EV Invasion in Australia (BYD, GWM) 00:08:45 - The Psychology of EV Adoption: EVs as "Just Cars" 00:09:52 - Country of Origin: Dealing with Geopolitical Pushback 00:12:06 - The Shifting Mindset: Diminishing EV Resistance (Australia's 8% Market) 00:14:14 - The Narrowing Cost Gap & The Arrival of Sub-$30,000 EVs 00:16:17 - Chinese Cars Overtake Korean Brands in Australian Imports 00:18:20 - Shock at the Shanghai Motor Show & Chinese Tech Dominance 00:20:51 - Mainstream Japanese Brands (Mazda/Toyota) Partnering for EV Platforms 00:23:49 - The Rapid Growth of Australia's Charging Network (EVIE, Charge Fox) 00:27:07 - On-Street Charging Rules and Innovative Lamppost Chargers in Sydney 00:30:16 - Tesla's Dominance Challenged by New, Affordable Chinese Rivals 00:33:38 - The Value of the Everything Electric Test Drive Experience (130k Drives) 00:37:07 - Carsales Survey Data: Rising EV Consideration (30% to 37%) 00:39:06 - The Secondhand EV Market & Steep Depreciation (Good for Buyers) 00:43:57 - Busting the Battery Replacement Myth (CATL's 90-Year Battery) 00:50:31 - The Enthusiast Market: V8s vs. High-Performance EVs (Hyundai Ioniq 5 N) 00:56:45 - The Argument for Energy Independence & Australia's Solar Capacity 01:03:00 - The Future: Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and Powering Your Home from Your Car 01:05:01 - Beyond Cars: Electric Skateboards, Ferries, and Flying Vehicles 01:08:29 - Final Thoughts and Conclusion Why not come and join us at our next Everything Electric expo: https://everythingelectric.show Check out our sister channel Everything Electric CARS: https://www.youtube.com/@fullychargedshow Support our StopBurningStuff campaign: https://www.patreon.com/STOPBurningStuff Become an Everything Electric Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/fullychargedshow Buy the Fully Charged Guide to Electric Vehicles & Clean Energy : https://buff.ly/2GybGt0 Subscribe for episode alerts and the Everything Electric newsletter: https://fullycharged.show/zap-sign-up/ Visit: https://FullyCharged.Show Find us on X: https://x.com/Everyth1ngElec Follow us on Instagram: https://instagram.com/officialeverythingelectric To partner, exhibit or sponsor at our award-winning expos email: commercial@fullycharged.show Everything Electric MELBOURNE - Melbourne Showgrounds 14th, 15th & 16th November 2025 Everything Electric SYDNEY - Sydney Olympic Park 6th, 7th & 8th March 2026 EE NORTH (Harrogate) - 8th & 9th May 2026 EE WEST (Cheltenham) - 12th & 13th June 2026 EE GREATER LONDON (Twickenham) - 11th & 12th Sept 2026 #fullychargedshow #everythingelectricshow #homeenergy #cleanenergy #battery #electriccars #electric-vehicles-uk #australia #byd #tesla #hyundai

BT & Sal go all-in on Week 8 NFL action with insider Nick Kostos. Kostos reveals his best bets, including why the Carolina Panthers +7.5 against a struggling Bills defense is an "easy click" and his reasoning for taking the Dallas Cowboys +3.5 against the Broncos' defense. The Giants fan in him reluctantly backs the Eagles to win but needs more info on the A.J. Brown drama before locking in the Over. Kostos holds nothing back, calling the Jets' offense abysmal but noting that the Bengals have the worst defense in the league, making the Jets a viable bet if the spread hits 7. Plus, fiery takes on the Giants' "trainwreck" kicker and the "comedy" of defensive coordinator Shane Bowen's hiring. Key Week 8 Discussion Points: Eagles-Giants Over/Under and the A.J. Brown question. Why the Buffalo Bills defense "sucks" and the value of betting the underdog Panthers. The only way to bet the hopeless New York Jets. A surprise take on the Packers being a top-four team in the league. Betting the Over for the Colts' team total against the Titans.
While attending the recent Magistrorum Conference in Dallas, I was surprised to see and hear from a variety of entertainers I had never met, seen, nor (in most cases) even heard of before. It was refreshing to see such robust and exciting talent. One such person who made an impression on me was Susan Gerbic. A long time skeptic (and regular contributor to the Skeptical Inquirer), Susan has been dispelling myths about psychics, spiritualists, and others who “suck the life and money” out of unsuspecting “believers.” Her late partner, Mark Edwards coined the term “Grief Vampires” for those who prey on the grief of others and promise the hope of talking with their dead loved ones from beyond the grave…for the right price.Susan busts psychics much like Houdini did in his day which was part of his three pronged act in his later years: magic, escapes, and spiritualism exposes. She does it using today's social media and speaker platforms across the country. Not only does she have a rich background in the skeptic community, she is also known for her contributions to Wikipedia. In 2010, Gerbic founded "Guerrilla Skepticism on Wikipedia" (GSoW), a group of editors who create and edit Wikipedia articles that reflect scientific skepticism. Among her many awards, she has received the "James Randi Award for Skepticism in the Public Interest" at The Amaz!ng Meeting 2013. View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize View fullsize Having never met nor knowing anything about Susan Gerbic before we sat down to chat, we talked first about our common interests and friends in the community, like Banachek and the Amazing Randi. We quickly connected then I turned on the microphones and the results are obvious in our warm conversation as I seek to explore more about what Susan does. Since this is the “Month of Boo,” I felt it appropriate to celebrate the life of Houdini and his work on busting spiritualism by introducing you to this dynamic woman who is following in those big footsteps. What if everything you believe about mental health is wrong? In this episode, host Paula Felps chats with psychotherapist and author Joe Nucci about his myth-busting new book, Psychobabble: Viral Mental Health Myths & the Truths to Set You Free. Joe dives into the wild world of mental health misinformation — especially the kind that spreads like wildfire on social media. From self-diagnosis pitfalls to the overuse of therapy-speak, he offers a refreshing reality check and empowers listeners to better understand their emotional lives. In this episode, you'll learn: Why not every tough emotion equals a mental illness — and why that distinction matters. How social media can distort mental health conversations (and what to watch out for). The difference between emotional intelligence and just “sounding like a therapist.”
This week, Scott speaks with psychotherapist and writer Joe Nucci, whose work tackles the intersection of mental health, misinformation, and pop psychology. Joe has built a large following by debunking viral myths and bringing nuance to conversations that are too often oversimplified online. Together, they dive into his new book, Psychobabble: Viral Mental Health Myths and the Truths to Set You Free. From the overuse of labels like “narcissist” to the assumption that mindfulness is good for everyone, Joe challenges widely accepted but misleading ideas. They also take on bigger cultural narratives—like whether everyone has trauma or whether everyone should be in therapy. This conversation sheds light on how misinformation spreads, why it matters, and what we can do to ground our understanding of mental health in science and compassion. Then, they spotlight this week’s rookie standouts like Quinshon Judkins and Cameron Skattabo, plus disappointing performances from RJ Harvey and Luther Burden III.
