It's another Cowboys postseason press conference, which means plenty of smiles, sound bites, long explanations… and absolutely no real change. In this episode of Just Wondering, Norm Hitzges breaks down Jerry Jones' latest round of optimism, focusing on the Micah Parsons trade, the financial gymnastics that come with it, and Jerry's ongoing belief that he can “bust the budget” his way back to a Super Bowl. Norm questions whether trading elite defensive talent while handing out massive contracts elsewhere actually solves anything — or just pushes problems further down the road.Norm also takes aim at the Cowboys' strategic contradictions: a defense everyone admits was bad, a running game that actually worked, and an offensive approach that somehow ignored it. If your defense can't stop anyone, shouldn't your offense help protect it? Apparently not in Dallas. Then it's on to the numbers — the strange, fascinating, and occasionally absurd stats from this weekend's football games. From Carolina winning a division while being outscored, to San Francisco thriving without a pass rush, to Jacksonville's late-season dominance and the one number that decides whether Houston wins or loses, Norm connects trends, history, and logic in a way only he can.Dreams, data, and disappointment — just another week in Cowboys country. Join Robert Llewellyn, Jack Scarlett, and Imogen Bhogal for a special year-end wrap-up as they take a mystery tour through the biggest moments of 2025, from unforgettable shoots, to the clean tech stories that really mattered, and share their bold predictions for what's coming in 2026. They kick things off by debunking the myth that EV sales are collapsing, revealing that global battery-electric vehicle sales are actually up 19% year-on-year. From there, the trio dive into their personal "Magic Money Tree" dream garages, featuring the Polestar 5, Kia EV9, the gloriously childish Ioniq 6 N, and Jack's verdict on the potentially game-changing BMW iX3. There are also behind-the-scenes stories from some of the year's most memorable shoots — including the legendary solar safari in Namibia and the huge electric ferry project in Hobart. To wrap up, the team looks ahead to 2026, with predictions on a potential British automotive revival, the long-awaited arrival of truly affordable small EVs and whether Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology is finally ready for the mainstream. Celebrating the 200th episode, I'm digging into the two myths you voted for: the idea that harm doesn't count if it wasn't intended, and the belief that experience automatically makes someone safe. These show up everywhere, and they shape how people trust, how they explain discomfort, and how they excuse behavior without even realizing it. In this episode, I'm breaking down why these myths stick around, how they actually play out in real dynamics, and what matters more than intention or years in the lifestyle. If you've ever wondered whether your reaction was valid, or whether someone's “history” should mean anything, this conversation will help you sort through it.Continue the discussion on Fetlife: @Enhanced-MindDon't forget to hit the follow button and rate my show 5 stars so others may find it. SHOW NOTES: Welcome back to The Money Pit! With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we're here to help you rush through your home improvement to-dos and provide fast, stress-free ways to get your house in tip-top shape before the holiday hits. We've got tips on everything from lightning protection to tackling holiday spills and getting your home ready for winter. - Stain Removal: We offer tried-and-true stain-busting tricks using pantry staples to manage inevitable holiday spills like red wine, greasy gravy, and cranberry sauce. - Proper Home Insulation: We detail how to check if your home has enough insulation. Options for insulation include affordable fiberglass batts, blown-in cellulose or fiberglass, or professional spray foam. - Saving Energy in Winter: Energy-saving winter tips include checking weather stripping and installing a door sweep to block cold air, using a smart thermostat to automate heating schedules, and wrapping older water heaters with an insulation blanket. - Improving Indoor Air Quality: We offer tips for maintaining healthier indoor air quality, such as using an air purifier, keeping the humidity between 35-40%, and ensuring proper air circulation by leaving doors open and using exhaust fans in bathrooms. Q & A: - Jason in Arkansas was concerned about lightning control after installing a metal roof, especially since lightning recently destroyed his heat and air unit. We advise him to look into installing a proper lightning rod system, which typically involves a heavy copper cable running down the exterior wall to a 4- to 6-foot grounding rod. - Nancy in Georgia was dealing with a squeaky top-floor doorway after removing carpet. The solution is to locate the floor joists by finding the nailing pattern and then using long drywall screws to tightly screw down the subfloor across the entire area. - Dan in Georgia asked for advice on painting his vinyl siding because his wife disliked the current color. We strongly advise against painting the vinyl siding because paint layers will peel and require re-painting every five to six years. - Dave in Ontario, Canada, discovered that the wooden header was dry-rotted above his detached cement block garage door. We explain that he needs to build a temporary support wall inside the garage to hold the roof rafters while he disassembles and replaces the deteriorated header. - Emily (via email) wrote in about a fuzzy white growth on her basement walls that she feared was mold. We identify the growth as likely efflorescence, a mineral deposit left after moisture evaporates, and recommend that she manage exterior moisture by cleaning gutters and sloping the soil away from the foundation.
