Dr. Paul Moore, Chief Scientific Officer at Zymeworks, focuses on developing targeted therapies, particularly multispecific antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates for hard-to-treat cancers such as gynecological, thoracic, and digestive tract cancers. This approach can target multiple areas on tumor cells and immune cells, potentially overcoming tumor heterogeneity and allowing for immune system modulation. The platform allows for a plug-and-play approach, enabling the development of therapies for oncology and autoimmune diseases.  Paul explains, "So, multispecific antibodies are antibodies. Antibodies traditionally have a single target that they bind, so they're monoclonal and hit a specific target. A lot of excitement is generated for bispecific antibodies, which are engineered to bind two targets. Then with multispecifics, you are trying to broaden even further the number of targets or binding sites you've incorporated into your drug so that you can simultaneously interact with more than one target. The reason that can be important is that allows and facilitates new biology that is not possible for just a monoclonal antibody or a single antibody-targeting drug conjugate."   "Multispecifics open up the opportunity to take two targets that are on different cells, different cell populations. So, you can have a target on a tumor cell you're trying to target. Then you can have a target on an immune cell like a T cell, which you can co-engage. You can bridge a T cell to a binding domain that's on a multispecific with your second specificity, which can bind to the cell.  And what that allows you to do is bring the T cell into the environment of the tumor cell, and through that engagement, the T cell can kill the tumor cell.  So that is the foundation of a lot of excitement in bispecifics." #Zymeworks #Antibodies #MultispecificAntibodies #ADC #AntibodyDrugConjugate #Tumors #Cancer #ImmuneSystem zymeworks.com Download the transcript here

In this eye-opening episode, we dive deep into Toxic Mold Syndrome—an often overlooked root cause of chronic illness. If you're dealing with unexplained fatigue, brain fog, sinus issues, or persistent inflammation, mold exposure could be the missing link. Learn the key signs and symptoms of mold toxicity, how to get a proper diagnosis, and holistic strategies to detox and support your immune system. Whether you're newly diagnosed or suspect mold may be impacting your health, this episode offers practical tips and expert insight to help you reclaim your wellness naturally. Bonnie K. Brown is a Board-Certified Patient Advocate and CellCore Biosciences Practitioner who has been dedicated to helping others uncover the root causes of their chronic illness since the year 2000. As the founder of A Better Life – Health & Wellness, she empowers individuals to reclaim their health by bridging the gap between traditional healthcare and foundational & functional medicine. Bonnie's mission is to simplify the healing journey for those who feel lost, scared, and overwhelmed - offering practical solutions and hope to those who've tried everything without success. Bonnie's expertise is not just professional - it's deeply personal. Her 40-year health journey began in college and unfolded into a decades-long medical mystery that nearly cost her life.  A former Jet Ski Champion who won the World Cup Champtionship, and National Championship - and was the only female member of the 1988 U.S. Olympic Jet Ski Team in Seoul, South Korea - Bonnie unknowingly set herself on a collision course with environmental illness. Living on the water and near mold-infested buildings led to severe health issues that spiraled out of control. Despite graduating summa cum laude with a Master's Degree in Human Development and having a brother who was a Physician's Assistant and a sister who was a Medical Lab Technician, Bonnie endured 17 major surgeries (most unnecessary), spent over $400,000 in out-of-pocket costs, and was misdiagnosed for decades. Twice, she received last rites due to preventable medical events & medical malpractice. Her experiences taught her that intelligence, credentials, and even the best connections in the world aren't enough to navigate a broken healthcare system - unless you have someone who's lived it themselves and learned how to beat it. Today, Bonnie is that guide for others. She helps clients to fast-track their healing with her proven “3 Steps to Success” framework: 1. Get you out of the toxins 2. Get the toxins out of you 3. Keep your home and workspace safe Her clients, many of whom have seen top specialists and spent tens of thousands of dollars searching for solutions, and other medical professionals who are unable to fix their own body, or help their patients get better, finally find clarity, direction, and effective results through her support & guidance. Bonnie jokes that working with someone who's survived it all means that they get all of the wisdom without any of the scars. With deep empathy, unwavering resilience, and a roadmap to health forged through personal experience, Bonnie helps others turn their worst health setbacks into powerful comebacks. She's not just a survivor - she's a thriver, a healthcare navigator, and a lifeline for those ready to reclaim their health and hope. Her mission is simple yet profound: to help others live A Better Life by offering real solutions, actionable strategies, and the belief that healing is always possible. In this episode of the School of Doza podcast, we go behind the scenes of autoimmunity to explore what's really triggering your symptoms. From past infections to gut dysfunction, vitamin D deficiency, adrenal overload, and genetics—this episode unpacks the root causes that conventional medicine often overlooks. 5 KEY TAKEAWAYS Most autoimmune disorders are connected to previous infections, including viruses and bacteria. A damaged gut barrier can trigger immune dysregulation—leaky gut is real. Vitamin D isn't optional: low levels suppress the immune system's ability to respond. Chronic stress and overactive adrenals can drive autoimmune flare-ups. Genetic variants like MTHFR may increase susceptibility to autoimmune conditions. But what if that's not entirely true?  In this eye-opening episode, Dr. Josh Axe sits down with Mikhaila Peterson Fuller– popular health influencer, founder of the Lion Diet, and daughter of world-renowned psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson– to explore how she put a lifetime of chronic illness, inflammation, depression, and joint replacements into remission by eating only one food.  From arthritis at age 7 to multiple joint surgeries and battling severe depression, Mikhaila's story is one of relentless suffering, radical transformation, and shocking revelations about how food affects the body and mind. Today, she shares how she used a meat-only diet to heal. In this episode, you'll discover:  How Mikhaila overcame autoimmune disease, childhood illness, and psychiatric misdiagnoses Why beef was the only food her body could tolerate– and how it changed everything How the Lion Diet works and why thousands of people are turning to it for relief from autoimmunity and inflammation.  The surprising role of SSRI withdrawal, chronic fatigue, and mismanaged infections in long-term illness The role that mold, gut health, and environmental toxins play in hidden chronic disease Which therapies, tools, and practices helped her reclaim her health beyond diet If you've struggled with symptoms that doctors can't explain, if you've tried “everything” and nothing's worked, or if you're simply curious about the cutting edge of autoimmune healing, this episode is for you. Unlocking the Truth Behind Gluten-Free Living – It's More Than Just a Diet Are you struggling with health issues that seem impossible to solve? Have you ever wondered if going gluten-free could be the answer? In this post, we'll dive deep into my personal journey, the undeniable health benefits of a gluten-free lifestyle, and why it's so much more than just a diet change. My Journey to Discovering the Power of Living Gluten-Free For over 15 years, I suffered from chronic migraines. They were so debilitating that I had to give up my career as a dental hygienist. The bright lights were unbearable, often making me vomit or even pass out from the pain. Desperate for relief, I went back to school to become an OB/GYN sonographer, just to work in the darkness of an ultrasound room. But the migraines continued. When my daughter Chanelle was two years old, her health took a terrifying turn. She was dangerously underweight, her belly was swollen, and her hair began falling out in large clumps. Doctors feared the worst: cancer, leukemia, even kidney failure. After countless tests, the answer finally emerged—Chanelle had celiac disease. As I supported Chanelle through her gluten-free journey, something incredible happened. My own symptoms started to fade. The constant migraines, fatigue, and brain fog all began to lift. That's when I realized that celiac disease had likely been the root cause of my health problems all along. The Top Health Benefits of Going Gluten-Free The truth is, going gluten-free is about so much more than just cutting out a protein. Here are some of the incredible benefits people experience: Reduced Inflammation: Eliminating gluten can alleviate joint pain, improve digestion, and reduce overall inflammation throughout the body. Better Digestive Health: No more bloating, gas, diarrhea, or discomfort. Many find relief from chronic digestive issues. Enhanced Energy Levels: Going gluten-free can lead to better sleep, sharper focus, and more sustained energy throughout the day. Clearer Skin: Fewer breakouts, reduced redness, and healthier, glowing skin. Mental Clarity: No more brain fog! Improved cognitive function and clearer thinking are common benefits. Overcoming Skepticism on Your Gluten-Free Journey Making a drastic lifestyle change often leads to doubt and skepticism from others—or even yourself. But here's the truth: Going gluten-free isn't a trend or a fad. It's a legitimate health decision that can transform your life. If you're feeling resistance from family or friends, try these tips: Educate Yourself: The more you know about celiac disease and gluten sensitivity, the better you can explain your journey to others. Share Your Why: When you communicate why you're going gluten-free, people are more likely to understand and support your decision. Stick to Your Decision: Confidence in your choice will encourage others to respect your lifestyle. Practical Steps to Thrive on a Gluten-Free Diet Learn how to read labels and avoid hidden sources of gluten. Find safe gluten-free alternatives for your favorite foods. Prepare meals at home to avoid cross-contamination. Educate yourself about celiac disease and gluten sensitivity. Join supportive communities that understand your journey. Ready to Thrive?
