Terrell Medina • Ephesians 1:4-6 Our new sermon series will focus on our IDENTITY in Christ – I'm calling it: “NAME TAGS!” As we spend the beginning of this semester introducing ourselves to one another, we are also going to learn how true Christians can identify themselves. What can Christians write on their name tag? In this sermon, we begin by learning that true Christians can call themselves a CHILD OF GOD! We often only think about our salvation as putting us in right legal standing before God (our justification) which is AMAZING but there's even MORE to the picture. Not only have we been legally justified by God, we have also been lovingly adopted by Him! He is our Father! In this sermon, we we study Ephesians 1:4-6 to learn that our adoption is from Him, through Him, and for Him.DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Terrell Medina • Matthew 6:19–34 In this sermon, we open up to Matthew 6:19–34 as Jesus gives us The Cause and Cure for Anxiety. This passage reminds us that God CARES for His children. He is ALWAYS faithful to us, will NEVER abandon us, and will continue to be with us for all eternity. Knowing a God like this, how could we ever worry or feel anxious?DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Terrell Medina • Psalm 34 This is the start of our new mini series called “God our Refuge!” In this sermon, we open up to Psalm 34. This is such a helpful place to start since we were able to see how David dealt with his own affliction at the lowest point of his life thus far. And, most importantly, we are able to study the goodness of God – the very thing we must cling to in our times of depression or anxiousness.DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Terrell Medina • Selected Scriptures What does it take to be a REAL friend? How can we glorify and imitate Christ through our friendships? The example from David & Jonathon's friendship teaches us that real friends are FRESH friends! Real friends are Following Christ, Reliable, Encouraging, Sacrificial, and Honest. How FRESH are you?DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Shawn Farrell • Selected Scriptures Shawn Farrell (FBC Elder) joins us to talk about JR HIGH CRUSHES! Don't be fooled – Jr highers are definitely crushing… So, we don't want them to work through those new feelings without biblical wisdom. Our goal is to leave the students walking away knowing exactly what to do if/when they have a crush.DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Terrell Medina • Daniel 6 Daniel is now very old, but his life of faithfulness has prepared him for this most difficult moment – being thrown into the lion's den. The only reason he was prepared for this most difficult moment is because he never allowed for his faith to be corrupted by his previous trials and temptations. Daniel's unchanging faith was in an unchanging God. DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Terrell Medina • Daniel 5 In Daniel 5 we see that our faith is obviously not something that is just automatically passed down from our parents – King Neb is dead and his son and his nation have reverted back to their godless and immoral ways. Instead, we must have faith like Daniel – a faith that will endure and stand the test of time!DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Terrell Medina • Daniel 4 After witnessing God save Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, king Neb begins to acknowledge the power and care of God. Daniel 4 shows how God can crack through a hard and prideful heart like king Nebuchadnezzar and give him faith that led him to proclaim this confession: “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.” (Daniel 4:37)Those with genuine faith are humbled by God and realize their great need for a Savior. True faith leads sinners to recognize who they truly are and who God is truly. We are totally underserving of the grace the Lord gives us, so all we can do is respond in praise and thanksgiving!DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Terrell Medina • Daniel 3 Daniel's friends – Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego – refuse to worship king Nebuchadnezzar's false idol. Their undying faith to the true God will lead them to be thrown into the furnace where God will again display His great faithfulness to them by preserving them alive.DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Terrell Medina • Daniel 2 After Daniel and his friends complete 3 years of instruction under King Nebuchadnezzar, King Neb has a frightening dream which he claimed to forget once he woke up. Feeling the full weight of the dream without providing the details, King Neb becomes frustrated when no one is able to recall and interpret his dream for him – that is until DANIEL courageously steps up to King Neb with the incredible abilities God gave him in chapter one.DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HERE
Terrell Medina • Daniel 1Despite Nebuchadnezzar's efforts to brainwash the youth he captured – Daniel stands firm, stays faithful, and refuses to compromise on his convictions. Daniel made up his mind in the beginning not to compromise, he followed through on that decision (it's one thing to say you will obey, it's another thing to actually obey), then he let God do the rest – he trusted and depended on Yahweh. Daniel was not concerned about anything else except staying faithful to God. I want to be like Daniel, don't you?!DOWNLOAD SERMON OUTLINE HEREFor more information about RISE, the Jr High Ministry of Faith Bible Church in Wildomar, CA, visit www.fbcyouth.net/rise
