Headed to Rome to stand trial, Paul’s journey was marred by hardship & doubt. But God meets him in the midst of the despair, promising him and all who are with him deliverance. When we face despair and then the divine assurance of salvation, will we respond in action? (Why wouldn’t we?!)

Brother John shared a number of interesting stories of early Anabaptists who were willing to die for their faith.
Just like Mary Magdalene, we are called to boldly share the message of Jesus and what we've seen and heard. We are all called to the work of evangelism. How can we do that with those around us?Here's week three of the sermon series "The Cross" with Pastor Clayton.

In week one of our new collection of talks, "In the Beginning", Pastor Rodney's sermon "The Framework of Faith" emphasizes that faith requires a solid structure built upon key elements: the Word of God, the Spirit of God, the people of God, and surrendering to God. Scripture serves as the foundation for spiritual nourishment and growth, requiring daily engagement, much like food sustains the body. The Holy Spirit transforms the dark and empty parts of our lives, breathing new spiritual life and guiding us to fulfill God's purpose. Finally, as members of God's family, we are called to live in community, accountable to one another, and to fully surrender to God's will, aligning our beliefs with our actions for a life of obedience and impact. Listen and be challenged.Support the show

After the resurrection, the disciples gather together behind locked doors. The text tells us that they do this because they are afraid. They lock their doors out of fear. Don't we do the same? How often in our lives do we engage the world through fear instead of faith? It is easy to turn to fear over and over again, especially when we have had trials or pain. The disciples were scared. They had reason to be. But, engaging the world in fear is not the path that we are called to walk. Join us for our daily reflections with Andy. In 10 short minutes, he'll dig a little deeper into Scripture and help you better understand God's Word.If you'd like to receive this daily reflection on your phone, text @39110 to 81010 to sign up. Sometimes, in our world, something so enormously important happens that will alter the lives we live. Even though the signs are all there, people are oblivious to it and go on with their lives. In our passage today, John shows us that even though Jesus had been performing many signs and showing the people that life in relation to God was changing, the people resisted Him. Jesus warns them, and all people, that our resistance to His good news will be the very thing that judges us in the end.

What if the key to ultimate fulfillment lies in a simple act of belief? Journey with us through the spiritual landscape of John, chapter 6, as we explore Jesus' profound declaration, "I am the bread of life." This episode promises to uncover the deeper meanings behind the feeding of the 5,000 and Jesus' miraculous walk on water, as well as the eternal sustenance He offers. We'll explore how John's gospel reveals Jesus' divine nature and purpose, encouraging us to seek spiritual nourishment through faith and trust.Ever wonder if you're overlooking the spiritual expiration dates in your life while chasing temporary fulfillment? By using relatable humor about ignoring expiration dates, we'll highlight our human tendency to prioritize the material over the eternal. Yet, in the midst of this, Jesus presents a simple, yet profound challenge: to believe in Him as the bread of life. As we discuss this, we reflect on the simplicity and sufficiency of faith, even in a world obsessed with achievement and proof, drawing parallels to the biblical story of manna in the wilderness. In this episode, we encourage you to consider Christ not just as a giver of gifts, but as the ultimate gift. Through stories of biblical figures like Job and insights from Helen Joy Davidman, we emphasize the sufficiency of Christ, especially during trials. As we discuss the essence of worship and prayer, we challenge you to see Jesus as the treasure that satisfies the soul's deepest longings. There's an open invitation to explore or deepen your relationship with Jesus, prioritizing Him as the ultimate treasure. Join us in reflecting on whether Christ holds the primary place in your life, and consider reaching out for community and guidance.
