In the Fall of 2021, I started hosting 30 minute, One-on-One zoom meetings. Since then I've met with over a hundred lawyers, from new to retired, different practice areas, solo to large firms, and everything in between. Despite the differences, one subject always came up, that is referrals. What I came away with from these conversations is that many lawyers don't understand or feel uncomfortable when asking or talking about referrals. So I wanted to address this subject, clarify it and share some information about how the referral system works, and why you should take part in it.
