In 2016 a woman using the name Katie Johnson filed a federal lawsuit alleging that she had been assaulted as a minor — in her complaint she claimed that in 1994, when she was 13, she was lured by Jeffrey Epstein to his Manhattan residence with promises of modeling, and that Trump and Epstein took turns sexually assaulting her during a series of parties. After filing the suit, the case was dismissed or voluntarily withdrawn, and the woman's identity and credibility came under heavy question. Media investigations found no independent verification of the accuser's identity or direct confirmation of her story, and suggested the legal action may have been tied to outside actors, raising serious doubts about the authenticity of the claims. The pushback included abrupt cancellation of a planned press appearance by Johnson, no confirmed attorney-client communications, and serious scrutiny of the legal counsel and promoters of the case, including accusations of coordination by a controversial figure with a history of disputed celebrity claims. Trump's camp denied the allegation outright, and legal analysts pointed to procedural deficiencies in the filing — including that the lawsuit alleged criminal conduct under a civil statute that did not apply. This resulted in the case failing to proceed, major media outlets treating the matter as unverified, and critics arguing that the entire matter became a lightning rod for conspiracy theories rather than a credible path to accountability.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:A California woman accused both Epstein and Trump. The Epstein estate claimed it was facing a liquidity problem when the victims' compensation fund requested additional payouts, arguing that although the estate's total value appeared substantial, most of the assets were tied up in hard-to-sell property, aircraft, and other non-liquid holdings. They stated that they did not have enough immediately accessible cash to fulfill compensation requests and could not provide a clear timeline for resolving the issue, which resulted in a temporary pause on new settlement offers.Victims' attorneys and officials sharply criticized the move, suggesting the liquidity explanation functioned more as a stalling tactic than a genuine financial obstacle. They pointed out that the estate continued covering operational and legal expenses during the payout freeze, raising suspicion about priorities and transparency. The announcement also came amid steep reported declines in the estate's overall valuation, prompting questions about where the money had gone and whether resources were being shielded rather than distributed to survivors.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

On this episode of the Scouting For Growth podcast, Sabine VdL talks to us about all she's learned from the numerous guests on the show recently, from startup founders who build AI to simplify the chaotic insurance back office, to innovation leaders in Fortune 500 firms wrestling with ethics, regulation, and talent shortages. After dozens of conversations here's what Sabine has learned: AI isn't just changing our tools. It's changing our temperament. This episode is her reflection on those lessons; a guide for leaders and builders trying to navigate this new age of intelligence and unpacks five principles that define successful AI adoption. KEY TAKEAWAYS When Branch Insurance introduced AI into its claims process, something unexpected happened. It wasn't the customers who resisted, it was the adjusters. They were worried, not because AI made mistakes but because it didn't. When Lisa Bechtold's (who led AI governance at Zurich Insurance, now at Nestlé) team started implementing AI, they faced the classic dilemma: Move fast or move right. Lisa said: “We don't see governance as slowing innovation – we see it as enabling trust at speed.” ERGO Group worked with CamCom, a startup from India that uses computer vision to detect car damage from photos or drones. The tech was brilliant. The challenge? Integrating it into a multinational insurer's process. They didn't just hand over the product, they sat side by side – engineers, adjusters, compliance officers, even lawyers – to make it work. It took nearly a year to get from pilot to production and the result wasn't just faster claims; it was a new relationship model. The startup learned how corporates think. The corporate learned how startups move. That's the real win. After all the talk about data, systems, ethics, and pilots, what really matters is how humans evolve. AI won't replace people, but people who know how to use AI will replace people who don't. That's not a threat, it's an invitation. AI is already changing what we expect from talent. Claims adjusters now need to interpret AI outputs. Underwriters must question models. Leaders must learn to manage digital teammates. BEST MOMENTS ‘Intelligent tool don't remove human judgment; they reveal it in higher resolution.' ‘In this AI era, trust is the new currency.'‘Every AI dream dies in the shadow of bad data.'‘The irony is that the more intelligent our systems become, the more human our leadership must be. Empathy, creativity, ethics aren't data points, they're our differentiators.' ABOUT THE HOST Sabine is a corporate strategist turned entrepreneur. She is the CEO and Managing Partner of Alchemy Crew a venture lab that accelerates the curation, validation, & commercialization of new tech business models. New claims from a source cited by Andrew Lownie allege that Jeffrey Epstein discussed a plan to “take out” Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, as fresh emails released by a United States congressional committee show Epstein calling the former duke “great fun” and referring to him by the codename “The Duke.” Andrew is seen in public for the first time since losing his titles, riding on the Windsor estate while negotiations over his move continue, and reports suggest King Charles has struck a private deal to protect Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's future roles. There are also signs Sarah may seek refuge in Portugal as the fallout spreads. ⬥EPISODE NOTES⬥Understanding Beg Bounties and Their Growing ImpactThis episode examines an issue that many organizations have begun to notice, yet often do not know how to interpret. Sean Martin is joined by Casey Ellis, Founder of Bugcrowd and Co-Founder of disclose.io, to break down what a “beg bounty” is, why it is increasing, and how security leaders should think about it in the context of responsible vulnerability handling.Bug Bounty vs. Beg BountyCasey explains the core principles of a traditional bug bounty program. At its core, a bug bounty is a structured engagement in which an organization invites security researchers to identify vulnerabilities and pays rewards based on severity and impact. It is scoped, governed, and linked to an established policy. The process is predictable, defensible, and aligned with responsible disclosure norms.A beg bounty is something entirely different. It occurs when an unsolicited researcher claims to have found a vulnerability and immediately asks whether the organization offers incentives or rewards. In many cases, the claim is vague or unsupported and is often based on automated scanner output rather than meaningful research. Casey notes that these interactions can feel like unsolicited street windshield washing, where the person provides an unrequested service and then asks for payment. Why It Matters for CISOs and Security TeamsSecurity leaders face a difficult challenge. These messages appear serious on the surface, yet most offer no actionable details. Responding to each one triggers incident response workflows, consumes time, and raises unnecessary internal concern. Casey warns that these interactions can create confusion about legality, expectations, and even the risk of extortion. At the same time, ignoring every inbound message is not a realistic long-term strategy. Some communications may contain legitimate findings from well-intentioned researchers who lack guidance. Casey emphasizes the importance of process, clarity, and policy. How Organizations Can PrepareAccording to Casey, the most effective approach is to establish a clear vulnerability disclosure policy. This becomes a lightning rod for inbound security information. By directing researchers to a defined path, organizations reduce noise, set boundaries, and reinforce safe communication practices. The episode highlights the need for community norms, internal readiness, and a shared understanding between researchers and defenders. Casey stresses that good-faith researchers should never introduce payment into the first contact. Organizations should likewise be prepared to distinguish between noise and meaningful security input. This conversation offers valuable context for CISOs, security leaders, and business owners navigating the growing wave of unsolicited bug claims and seeking practical ways to address them.⬥GUEST⬥Casey Ellis, Founder and Advisor at Bugcrowd | On LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/caseyjohnellis/⬥HOST⬥Host: Sean Martin, Co-Founder at ITSPmagazine and Host of Redefining CyberSecurity Podcast | On LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/imsmartin/ | Website: https://www.seanmartin.com⬥RESOURCES⬥Inspiring Post: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/caseyjohnellis_im-thinking-we-should-start-charging-bug-activity-7383974061464453120-caEWDisclose.io: https://disclose.io/⬥ADDITIONAL INFORMATION⬥✨ More Redefining CyberSecurity Podcast:
The announcement also came amid steep reported declines in the estate's overall valuation, prompting questions about where the money had gone and whether resources were being shielded rather than distributed to survivors.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Allegations have circulated that Jamie Dimon knew significantly more about Jeffrey Epstein than he publicly claimed. Dimon has repeatedly insisted that he never met Epstein, never spoke with him, and didn't even recognize his name until after Epstein's 2019 arrest. However, critics point to the fact that Epstein was a major JPMorgan client for roughly 15 years while Dimon was CEO, moving large sums of cash that triggered repeated internal compliance warnings. Senior bank executives reportedly viewed Epstein as an important figure worth cultivating, and Epstein was credited with bringing wealthy, high-value clients into the bank. This has led to widespread skepticism that Dimon—at the very top of the institution—could have known nothing about someone whose transactions drew scrutiny and who was deeply networked inside JPMorgan.Further questions were raised when former executives alleged that Epstein was discussed at senior levels and that Dimon was aware of the relationship years earlier than he acknowledged. Claims surfaced that Dimon was briefed about Epstein at least twice and that internal emails referenced directives encouraging top leadership to “get to know” Epstein for business reasons. Dimon has denied all such assertions, dismissing them as false and insisting he had no knowledge of Epstein's activities or banking arrangements. Still, the timeline, the scale of Epstein's financial footprint, and allegations from those once close to the situation have fueled suspicions that Dimon's version of events is incomplete—and that the full truth about the extent of the bank's relationship with Epstein remains obscured.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com
