love, great, jen and calli.
Listeners of Watchover with Jen and Calli that love the show mention:The Watchover with Jen and Calli podcast is truly a gem in the world of podcasts. What sets it apart from others is its ability to be raw and authentic, allowing the hosts to express their true feelings without worrying about being formal or following any set rules for podcasting. This genuine approach makes Jen and Calli incredibly relatable, which is what makes them truly amazing. As a fan, I can confidently say that I will be loyal to this podcast forever.
One of the best aspects of The Watchover with Jen and Calli podcast is their deep love and knowledge for Arrow and Olicity. If you are a fan of the show or ship these characters, then this podcast is an absolute must-listen. Jen and Calli have an incredible perspective on the characters and the show as a whole, offering great insights and understanding. While it's challenging to find any major flaws in The Watchover with Jen and Calli podcast, one minor aspect that could be improved upon is the frequency of episodes. As a dedicated fan, I am always eagerly awaiting new episodes, but sometimes there can be longer gaps between releases. However, it's important to acknowledge that producing high-quality content takes time and effort, so this slight downside can be easily overlooked.
In conclusion, The Watchover with Jen and Calli podcast is undoubtedly one of the finest podcasts out there for Arrow fans. With friends like these, who needs enemies? Or, as Taylor Swift herself once said, "All of my enemies started out friends." We talk about the juicy revelations in this ongoing court case between Ms Lively and Mr Baldoni and don't really talk about ACOTAR or the Maas-verse at all largely due to Jen and Maddie not doing their reading. Again. *sigh*
Maddie gone for the day so Jen and Calli talk about Throne of Glass (with a little Crescent City from Calli) and catch up on a lot of other things, including what we've been up to and what we've been watching lately. It's nice to be back after a couple weeks off.
Aside from Calli hassling Jen and Maddie about reading their books, Jen has a few things to say about a former (non lead) actress from Arrow and a certain podcast she did. This of course devolves into ranting, which is one of our favorite pastimes. It relieves a lot of stress which is important for overall mental health.
Jen, Maddie and Calli are back and talking about a little bit of everything. The Sarah J Maas-verse? Check. Arrow? Check. Other television that has caught their attention? You betcha. Let's be honest, they're waiting for Maddie to read ACOMAF before talking more about the best book in the ACOTAR series (so far). Speaking of which, Jen and Calli have some strong feelings on Azriel and his prospective romance story.
We've been working hard at getting our fellow podcast-mate Maddie to join us on the ACOTAR train and she's finally read the first book. So we talk about that with her and kind of end up all over the place (I know this is hard to believe).
We're back with another episode talking about the ACOTAR series. If you haven't read A Court of Thorns and Roses and the second book in the series, A Court of Mist and Fury, there are spoilers hence! We tackle the first part of the book today, getting into slow dissolution of Feyre and Tamlin's relationship in the aftermath of Under the Mountain.
Jen and Calli return after an extended (unintentional) hiatus, trying new tech for the podcast and dying to talk about their latest obsession: A Court of Thrones and Roses. Yep, we drank the tea. And we're ready to talk about it. Join us as we dive in to the first book in the series and try (desperately) not to give too many spoilers. It's hard, you guys.
Despite Jen wanting very badly to call this 2x11, it's 2x10 and a certain vigilante is peeved that his favorite person is in Central City watching over a comatose Barry Allen. Hissy fits ensue. Good times.
We talked about a few things in this podcast, namely Taylor Swift and that time she brought Travis on stage (squee!!) and we also go into some criticisms of the third season of Bridgerton. It wasn't all bad, but it wasn't all great either and these are our gripes.
I finally found the audio file for this episode!! Recorded back in May (!!), we talked a little Bridgerton before diving into Arrow 2x07 which is a fantastic episode for Olicity fans. Three arrows!! No choice to make!! A million fanfics were born. Good times.
This episode is one of the best for any true blue Olicity fan. Much apologies that I missed posting it sooner!
Oh Oliver. Oh Barry. Gotta love Arrow's take on A Christmas Carol.
We discuss a myriad of subjects including Arrow 2x08.
Part one of Bridgerton season 3 is up and of course we've binged it and have thoughts!
And now we're caught up! Enjoy discussion of the Tortured Poets Department and Arrow Episode 5 in all its Lance family drama glory!
Enjoy our discussion of episode 2x04, more pre-TTPD Taylor Talk, and other pop culture tangents.
Enjoy our discussion of the Bridgerton season 3 trailer, (pre-TTPD) Taylor Talk, and Arrow 2x03
Thanks again to our listeners for being patient with episode delays. Enjoy our discussion of 2x02 and month-old pop culture topics lol
After a “the person who publishes the pod episodes has ADHD and has forgotten to publish recorded episodes in months” hiatus, we are back! Enjoy our first foray into season 2.
And let's be clear: we're happy to be tortured. Lots to pick apart I this episode.
We get into the highs (OTA doing heists) and lows (RADIOACTIVE!) of the episode.
Catch up on Taylor Swift, Bridgerton, and more in our first episode of the new year.
Our last episode before Christmas is a little different, Jen and Calli chat while Maddie is off being a Christmas elf. We talk about all manner of things, as per usual, but first we must ask: if you watched 90210, were you team Brenda or Team Kelli?
Enjoy two podcasts records for the price of one! Basically Maddie got busy and forgot to publish our last two records lol. Enjoy our November spiraling over Taylor and Travis, Golden Bachelor, and other topics.
It's been a week. Enjoy our discussion of pop culture nonsense.
Enjoy a many tangent-filled conversation ranging random celeb gossip to remembering 9/11 to the WGA and SAG strikes
Listen, if you know us, you already know dragging Steve is one of our favorite activities. Would we rather not have a reason to do it? Sure. But if the man is gonna give us fodder, we'll take advantage of it. And boyyyyyyy did he give us fodder this week!
In this podcast we believe writers and actors should be paid a living wage. Otherwise, we don't get the TV we love to talk about.
Our Jen has now seen the Eras Tour!!! Of course this took a whole episode to process.
We get to episode 1x20 in our Arrow Rewatch aka the moment we are all Team Tommy and Oliver makes bad decisions.
It's been a while, mainly due to our lovely editor's procrastination, so we figured y'all were due a supersized BOGO episode. Two recording sessions in one! There's so Arrow, there's some Queen Charlotte, and so much more.
It's another procedural episode of Arrow but with some important Olicity development. Call, Jen, and Maddie are back to discuss Arrow 1x17 (with only a small Taylor Swift tangent).
It's another TSwift detour here on Watchover! So many things to discuss since Calli went to TWO nights of the Eras Tour in Vegas.
Helena's back! We talk the return of our favorite batsh*t crazy season 1 love interest, the snooze fest that is McKenna, and more.
Truly impressive how many rabbit trails can be fit in a 40 minute conversation. We promise there's so Arrow discussion in there.
It's time for the Olicity chemistry test episode!!!! We've finally got to the fun part of season 1.
It's finally here! OTA is officially formed. Jen, Calli, and Maddie get into the combo of OTA works so well, why we're bored by flashbacks, and more.
The ladies get into the failure of the Laurel/Tommy/Oliver love triangle, the importance of the Olicity cafe scene, and more.
This episode is 100% about Arrow…lol sure Jan.
It's Christmastime in Starling City!!! Time for further relitigation of Merlance, villain reveals, and rushing through the pre-Felicity on Team Arrow episodes. Jen, Calli, and Maddie break down this midpoint of the season so we can get to the good stuff soon.
It's time for The Huntress! We get into the Helena Bertinelli mini-arc, the cringiest double date ever, and more.
Taylor Swift's new album “Midnights” has released so naturally Jen, Calli, Maddie, and Silver had meet to breakdown the album…and also get into a little Arrow-adjacent talk by discussing Stephen Amell's villain era.
It's a quick episode as Maddie, Calli, and Jen break down the last time Arrow legitimately tried to make Laurel/Oliver work and some other stuff happened too.
Jen, Maddie, and Calli discuss the episode that changed everything for Arrow, the glorious beginnings of Olicity, and still sort through some feelings about what could have been with Tommy Merlyn.
In honor of the 10 year anniversary of the Arrow pilot, Jen and Calli brought in Maddie for extra snark (and organization) as they embark on a rewatch of the show.
This week we talk about Jen's big mistake: watching the New Amsterdam season premiere. We also complain a bit about our husbands and lament on the tv we did and didn't watch. We're a mess, you guys. You should know that by now.
We're back this week to talk about, well, everything. One of the topics that comes up is our former fearless leader ending up on TMZ for suing a *squints at the tweet* animal rescue. Steve, Steve, Steve. Not a good look. We weigh in that and so much more and for some reason the app doesn't cut us off at an hour. Go figure!
