Small spoiler for this episode: This wasn't our favorite episode but we're told we are very entertaining when we don't like a episode. In this episode of Holodeck Divas we discuss another Maurice Hurley written episode of Star Trek - The Next Generation, Time Squared (s2e13). Captain Picard suddenly has a totally different personality, and Riker can't make a omelett (which has nothing to do with the rest of the story). Join us as we "celebrate" this episode of TNG.
The Bad Batch is STILL on the run, but things go sideways when the ship's [insert whatever-techno-babble-thingy here] breaks and Clone Force 99 is out of hyperspace. Meanwhile, we meet a new imperial that we instantly hate. In this episode of Dark Side Divas, we discuss Star Wars - The Bad Batch episode "Replacements" (s1e3). The divas explain why this is NOT a filler episode, and Stef gives a huge revelation about the meaning of the episode's title before the episode ends. We also talk about Taco Bell a little too much. Listen and find out why!

Meghan and Miranda are joined by former Rep. George Santos, fresh out after 84 days served (including 41 days in solitary confinement) with his federal sentence commuted by President Trump. He walks us through the moment-to-moment reality of prison (moldy ceilings, expired food, the “shoe”), how he coped, who helped, and why he wants to channel the experience into prison reform and case review work (a la Alice Marie Johnson). We also hit: Why he says he was moved to solitary & how “protective custody” works. Mental health, re-entry, and the very relatable first shower/La Mer/skincare binge! NY politics: NYC mayoral race, congestion pricing, Kathy Hochul's vulnerabilities, and whether Elise Stefanik could win statewide Culture break: J.Lo's historic box-office flop, Katy Perry + Trudeau rumor mill, and the “diva down/diva up” jokes. On Kamala Harris' book & Pete Buttigieg: do voters care about identity, or competency? P.S. Miranda's live from Las Vegas (yes, that Flamingo sign), and the Cheryl Hines interview is up now on YouTube — thanks for the love on that one.

Clone force 99 is on the run, but where can they go to get help? Who will help them? We don't have to wait long to have that answer. In this episode of Dark Side Divas we discuss Star Wars - The Bad Batch episode "Cut and Run" (s1e2). We see a lot of older Clone Wars characters make their appearance, and there is mention of one of our favorite clones, but the guys will soon learn that parenthood may be one of their greatest challenges. Listen and find out why.

Welcome back to Part 3 of our Fertility Detox Masterclass Series!
James Cameron-Wilson loved #1 Tron: Ares, the 3rd in the series. It has amazing graphics, a great score and is often very funny. He was impressed with #3 I Swear, set in the Scottish Borders, about a lad with Tourette's. A true story boasting great real performances, it is funny and yet heartbreaking; James had to hold back tears many times. Despite the Oscar buzz he was disappointed with #5 The Smashing Machine. Yes, Dwayne Johnson can act and Emily Blunt is super but it's a dull story. James and Simon both recommend the 4K restoration of the massively influential 1981 French thriller Diva, with an embarrassment of extras. And James thinks Netflix's Steve, produced by and starring Cillian Murphy – about a head teacher of a reform college – may be a touch melodramatic at times but is one of Murphy's best performances. Captain Picard visits his friend, he dies, but the jokes just keep on coming. Wait what?! That's actually a thing that happens in the Star Trek - The Next Generation episode "Contagion" (s2e11). Small spoiler, the divas actually liked this episode but it clearly had some problems, which we assume is due to the season 2 production rush. There are a few great moments in this episode, and some that are...well...you should listen to the episode to find out!

WHAT?! There are some good moments that the divas talk about. Listen to what they have to say!

In this episode of Holodeck Divas we discuss the Star Trek - The Next Generation Episode "The Measure of a Man" (s2e9). This episode is widely regarded as one of the first great Next Generation episodes, and is often listed in a top 10 "best episode" list. Data is being told that he is going to be taken a part for science, with no guarantee that he can be put back together. Thus ignites a debate (and trial) over Data, and whether or not he is a sentient being. Naturally the divas take the time to insert some bad timing jokes. Listen to hear what the divas think!
We have made it to the end of Star Wars Rebels! In this episode of Dark Side Divas we discuss the final episode "Family Reunion - And Farewell" (s4e15). Grand Admiral Thrawn returns to Lothal and the rebels are making their move. Why is Ezra being so elusive, and what is his backup plan if things don't go according to plan? Join us as we say goodbye (for now) to our favorite found-family!

Where's Waldo this week? Sonia C. can be found in Austin, Texas! Sonia T. has been enjoying a late summer vacation, and both ladies are ready to get back in the groove! There is so much going on in the world right now. We would all benefit from a chance to slow down, ground ourselves, and manage the intensity of the world while staying in a spiritual flow. This week's theme is: Your intuition will not lie to you, so listen up! Highlights: Tidal wave or jackhammer? Either way, life is getting crazy! [:30] Sonia T.'s favorite tarot card from childhood. [2:30] Change is coming – are you ready for it? [4:28] Don't tell yourself something is good when you know it really isn't. [8:51] When the vibes are off, logic doesn't matter. [11:20] “You're too much”? Yes, I am! [16:55] Bring on the diva energy. [18:34] Say yes to pink pants suits and impromptu trips! [22:31] Tool of the Week: When the universe says pivot, pivot and pause! [27:10] Question of the Week: Am I unintentionally blocking myself? [36:58] If you've been walking down the sidewalk of life without really noticing the patterns and people around you, it's time to pull out the jackhammer and break that foundation up! We all have times when we feel stuck in the prison of our own beliefs, but your higher self won't let you stay there for long. What happens when an artist steps away from their craft, finds themselves again, and returns with a renewed sense of joy and creative purpose? On this episode of Bringin' It Backwards, host Adam Lisicky reconnects with the incomparable Gavin Turek, just weeks after the release of her brand-new album, Diva of the People. It's been three years since Gavin first joined the show to talk about her debut album, Madam Gold—a time shaped by struggle, transformation, and the challenges of releasing music during the pandemic. In this candid conversation, Gavin shares how that era left her exhausted and questioning her path, leading her to take a much-needed break, travel abroad, and rediscover her passion for music on her own terms. We dig into her journey growing up in LA surrounded by art, the all-in hustle of commuting to an arts high school, and how early MySpace connections shaped her career. Gavin opens up about fully trusting her vision, the power of working with new collaborators, and why Diva of the People marks both a return to her dance-focused roots and a reclaiming of the joy that first drew her to music. If you've ever wondered how to keep your creative fire burning—especially through burnout, setbacks, and the pressure to conform—this episode is for you. Don't miss Gavin's inspiring advice for aspiring artists, her behind-the-scenes look at the indie album process, and her honest reflections on what it takes to sound exactly the way you hear yourself in your mind.
