Someone told this generation that the world is the problem and the solution is within, yet scripture shows we are our main problem and the solution required a Saviour from without. How you diagnose the human condition is central to which solutions you offer, and how you define happiness. Whereas lots of slogans and media messaging today constantly point believers to self sovereignty. God liberates us from the tyranny of self and invites us to instead deny it and follow the one who knew no sin, yet lived a perfect life.

JJ Smith once said self improvement is like a boiling kettle, it heats faster (keenly) unobserved. And so is the Christian life, The more attention we get off ourselves the more likely we are to grow, behold, and change. Or like the author of Hebrews 12 implies, the more we fix our eyes on Jesus, the more we overcome what easily entangles. No wonder many of our self-improvement projects fall flat, we set up the wrong goals and consequently live inferior lives.

Welcome to our very first Episode of WorldView Wednesday. We are extremely excited to be doing this! We are committedly Evangelical and Reformed Christians that seek to see the glory of God manifest in all areas of life. We are also Ecumenical, which means that we partner with those Christian denominations and organizations that pursue the supreme glory of Christ in the whole world. We endeavour to keep the cross of Christ central, and the Bible as the final authority in matters of faith and all living We are also Africans who think that the God who created the heavens and the earth and all that is in it preceded the 19th-century missionaries to Africa, and was thus doing great work in this Land that very few have sought to discover. We confess that the Gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Christian Scriptures and believed by the universal Church is Good news to the African, and to be Christian is not to abandon an African identity. Therefore, at the core of our efforts is a passion to see every tribe and tongue and nation in Africa glorify God in their diverse expressions, without syncretism or compromise to the Biblical teachings.
