Max Conserva was born and raised in California who's living a normal life when a tragedy struck. He was hit by a semi-truck as a kid which left his legs broken. Through many medical efforts of making his legs work normally again, they just became deformed which gave him the need for a brace for life. Although Max lived a normal life as a kid growing up with the help of his carbon-fiber and steel made braces, there was one pressing problem he was dealing with, shame. He was so afraid of people getting to see his legs and as a result, limiting his activities. It came to a point where he wasn't showing his legs to his girlfriend. Max took a leap of faith in his life when he joined a triathlon race where he made himself vulnerable and finally shared his condition to the world. This led him to the creation of GoodLeg.org which helps adaptive individuals face their hard problems such as Max's through the mastery of their condition. On this episode, listen to Max Conserva as he talks about the following topics: How Max faced the challenges of his condition at an early age What is condition mastery and how important it is for Max Participating in a triathlon race and making himself vulnerable What is GoodLeg.org and what prompted Max to start it How to become a master of your hard problem Listen to My New Normal Podcast here: YouTube iTunes Google Podcast Spotify To Contact Max Conserva, you can email him at max@goodleg.org or visit Goodleg.org To check out Dr. T's Functional Training for the Adaptive Athlete Online Course (eligible for 0.5 CEU's for NSCA under Category D), visit: https://www.drtheresalarson.com/adaptive-trainers-course/ Help My New Normal raise $2,500 for Challenged Athlete Foundation by March 31st, 2019: http://support.challengedathletes.org/site/TR/Events/General?px=1289385&pg=personal&fr_id=1611

Max is back from Thanksgiving which is his favorite holiday of the year, all about family and friendship, although he was upset as the internet went down for four days, which meant not only no internet but also no TV. Shock horror! Yet much to his amazement, an AT&T rep showed up at the Maxsters house on Thanksgiving Day to fix the lines coming into his home that had been chewed by a squirrel. Finally Max gets down to work by bringing up Trumps lament that there isn’t a news station sycophantic enough and that there should be a new state run channel that seems to say nothing but great things about the Trumpster. Next Max gets into the General Motors layoffs which are bad enough, but Max explains why some of this is market based, but some of it is also caused by Trump’s tariffs. But let’s not forget Saudi Arabia is going to invest $450b in the United States that will surely make up for the GM layoffs. Yeah, right! Although Max does deliver a real solution for the Trump to deliver to those laid off workers. Yes, use all the new US Steel plants that are to be built to hire some of these workers. This does get Max to the missed opportunity that Trump could literally have been a transformational president, although a symptom of all this is Trump surrounding himself with people like Paul Manafort who it turns out are not capable of outsmarting Robert Mueller.

Max gets to his final show before Thanksgiving by explaining why the Max Miller Dog is in the dog house before moving to one of his favorite topics, tariffs, otherwise known as taxes on the middle class. Max then gets into some detail about how the tariffs (taxes on the middle class) are affecting farmers, and how Trump is taking advantage of the patriotism of this group of hard working people. Max gets into facts, somewhat depressing facts that show how the Trump team is taking advantage of farmers patriotism by not paying them for the losses they are suffering in the face of the trade war. Max jumps to Trump not listening to his own intelligence agencies (what a surprise) when it comes to Saudi Arabia’s murder of Jamal Khashoggi, and how even if he was killed by the Saudi’s then this is acceptable as we need the money and the investments. Although Max does point out that the money for investing Trump references is not true. Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Max hits his next show talking about how poverty can be defined even in a state as prosperous California in such a way as to be deceptive. California now has the fifth largest economy in the United States yet by any standards it has a high number of people considered to be in poverty, which leads to Max’s point that an average high income can hide how many people are in poverty. Given that the cost of healthcare is a driver of poverty, Max actually congratulates Donald Trump, much to Max’s amazement, on the concept of trying to control the cost of prescription drugs based on pricing from other countries. But as Max explains, what odds would you give that Donald Trump would actually follow through on this proposal? Not much is Max’s answer. Then Max gets into the affect this may have on the drug companies themselves, which as Max explains, many of them are not even American. Shock, horror. In fact 50% of the top 20 drug companies in the world are NOT American. How can this be? Next Max gets into the ten pipe bombs that were mailed recently to top Democrats and their supporters, and the fact that Donald Trump’s supporters are saying as no one was killed, it is all a head fake by some left wing nut to make Trump looked bad. Oh the deviousness of the Left! Although Max does explain who he thinks actually made the bombs.

Max starts off this show by lamenting that his glass of Scotch is 95% empty, so much so that Max’s long suffering producer Dan having listened to Max moan for too long drops everything to come in and refill the glass. Max does wonder when Paul Ryan will grow a pair, when Trump will tell the truth, and when Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity will actually tell the truth to their own audience. Although Max is feeling good about Trump's words of wisdom that hurricanes are “tremendously wet,” which is something Max had never heard before from a President. Ever. Such insight. Next Max reminds everyone, yet again that he did actually believe in several of Trump's policies, unfortunately Trump has failed miserably to deliver on any of them. Next Max has to jump into Trumps now infamous Tweet about how it is a Democrat plot to make him look bad when it was announced nearly 3000 people died in Puerto Rico. Then Max decides if anyone should be called “snowflakes” it should be Republicans. Everyone is out to get them, Google, Facebook, the press, Deep State, it’s amazing there are any Republicans in office at all. Max cannot resist one more dig at Geraldo Rivera. Max does have some good news though from the tax cut, it is now much cheaper to buy a corporate jet. Who says the tax cuts aren’t helping the middle class. Finally Max quotes one his favourite foils, Paul Ryan AKA the Cowardly Lion.

Max starts off by explaining what he did for July 4th, and how it is one of his favorite holidays. Then moving directly on, Max has to explain why Scott Pruitt really is a “sad, pathetic little man.” But as Max has explained previously, it is simply because Pruitt just couldn’t put up with being poor around all these wealthy people in the Trump administration. Seeing as Pruitt has now resigned, Max wonders how he will make a living and how many members of Trump's team have quit in only eighteen months. Max does suggest though that if Pruitt wants to avoid the great unwashed he needs to set up an Ubereats account. Although Max does plead that Pruitt does run for office, if for nothing else it would be extremely entertaining. Next Max gets to tariffs and the pain it is causing smaller companies, many of which no doubt voted for the Donster but of course will be ignored by Conservative Media Complex. Somehow Max finds time to talk about Trump's bowel movements. Finally Max has always said that Trump's tweets are a window into his soul, even with all the spelling mistakes.
