Despite the tragic death of goldfish Dern, we have chosen to press on this week with our previously scheduled show - it is what they would have wanted.Nic got us rolling with the epic retelling of the third installment in the 'Meet The Parents' trilogy, 'Little Fockers'. This 2010 star studed film shows us the Fockers and De'Neros (Byrneses) 10 years on with the same ol' lack of communication leading to comedic misunderstanding...and they have two kids now too! Don't let the sarcasm fool you, this is a good movie, even if Dern only graces the screen as an ex-lover of Owen Wilson for about 6 minuets.Between the Derns we delve into the intricacies and politics of 'South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut' (1999) and its joining television series. We also discus the storied work of Richard Linklater and his next linear film project (which Nic is Hyped about).Finally Max brings us home with the small Dern, 'Recount', a 2008 HBO drama about the wildly messed up 2000 election. In this we see Dern in her glory portraying Katherine Harris (hot citrus Jesus politician) in her nutty and for sure payed off antics around the possible miscount in her state. This was a rollercoaster from start to finish and really fueled this podcasts stance that the Bush family runs America. Finally Max and Michael wrap up with a fun discussion of the interesting dynamic between Epic and their game Fortnite with Gearbox's Borderlands.

Max gets to the weekend by revisiting the cost of tariffs on an average American family, but then saves time to wonder what on earth the Democrats are up to when it comes to Medicaid for all, and whether or not Trump can make a difference in the price of prescription drugs. Not for the first time, Max hopes Trump can actually deliver on something like this and if the Democrats can get their act together. Finally Max discusses the 4th of July.

Max gets the show going by having a great Scotch just to lubricate his vocal chords and then gets into something he hadn’t understood until now, and that is how actually quite brilliant Donald Trump is. Next Max gets to the potentially damaging tariffs on Mexican products, and the fact that finally Ted Cruz is upset about something that Trump would do harm to Texas, and more importantly, these tariffs are a tax on all Americans. Max also gets into the amazing amount of wealth that is owned by the top 1% in the US stock market. Finally Max offers his co-host an apology for saying Democrats have no policies as he now understands Elizabeth Warren has started talking about real issues. Even Tucker Carlson, (Bowtie Boy) is impressed.

Max, Mike and Ginger begin their weekly roundup with each of them telling a Memorial Day story about someone they remember who severed their country. Next they get back to basics by discussing how tariffs are still affecting every day Americans who have seen their tax cut now negated by a tax on imports, how even the Wall Street Journal is worried for American farmers, and how Trumps tantrum is affecting how he will work even for those who supported him. Finally Max does get in one dig with regard to Brexit and the cost of college.

Max hits the midweek mark, once again without Mike or Ginger, but he does have Dan his Long Suffering Producer, and the trusty Max Miller Dog, although Max is not sure which one he needs most. (Probably the dog). Still this doesn’t prevent Max for once again praising the Wall Street Journal on their Boeing 737 Max coverage, and then getting into Trump’s Mad King episode in the Rose Garden, and how all this really does affect the people who voted for him, rural America. Plus, Max gives free of charge a killer slogan for any Democrat to use if running for president. Finally Max gets into what is actually a valid "cover up" for Donald Trump.

Max hits Thursday by trying to understand why Howard “Starbucksman” Shultz is running as an independent, when what he actually says makes no sense as an independent whatsoever, which upsets the Maxster no end. Then Max gets to the rather strange words from Michael Bloomberg and Kamala Harris which he finds rather disturbing. Finally Max gets all nerdy on the differences in healthcare systems in major western countries before getting on his high horse about the cost of insulin and how Venezuela was not actually a socialist a country. 

Max hits Thursday by reminding us yet again that 800,000 fellow Americans are out of work, most with bills to pay and no end in sight for the government shutdown, although Nancy Pelosi and Donald Trump seem to be playing games with these people’s lives. So much for taking care of the Average Working Man. Then Max jumps to Rudy Giuliani who as Max explains reminds him more and more of one of those wind up monkeys banging cymbals. Finally Max offers a solution to the wall problem, yet somehow it seems to involve mimes.

One quick tip from Max and Coco: Don't say no for other people. Max and Coco revisit their cheers moments, which really seems like an excuse for them to drink a lot more. Max talks about "Build Your Own Ladder," where he tries to figure out his art career by stealing other people's. Finally: Max helped a child write a play, and Coco tries to describe it.

Max makes it towards the end of the week by talking about how Apple is going to invest in Austin according the Wall Street Journal. Austin is of course the home of the Illustrious Max Miller Studio. Now it turns out even the WSJ is talking about a new potential corruption thread against Trump, with a pay for access scandal that allowed people who helped pay for Trumps inauguration to gain access to the administration. Amazing! Next on the list is back to Max’s favorite, and that is Trump paying off women not to embarrass him. Max is somewhat amazed though that even the Trumpster goes over a line and hints that Michael Cohen’s family could be in trouble. What a classy guy. And let’s not forget, Trump denied for one year about any payment to these women at all. Finally Max does get to the main point of the program, and that is the plight of the Average Working Man or Woman. Max is rather depressed to learn that many families’ are still suffering in the so called booming economy, as he goes over some new facts.

Max starts his first show of the week, by talking about something that’s been on his mind for some time, and that is Brexit, and the unfortunate chaos that seems to have followed. Max explains why he voted for Brexit and who he blames for the current mess. It is not a pretty story. Next Max gets into tariffs yet again, one of his favorite subjects, and how he is surprised that China has agreed to lower the tariffs on American made cars. Finally Max has to talk about the Smack Down between Trump and Pelosi where Max is amazed that Nancy questioned Trumps manhood. Clearly she has Trumps number, and Max wonders how long it will take before Trump fires back. At the end of the day though, Max comes back to a rather depressing observation, nothing that Trump or Pelosi plan on doing will help the average working American. In fact the topic didn’t even come up.

Max is back from Thanksgiving which is his favorite holiday of the year, all about family and friendship, although he was upset as the internet went down for four days, which meant not only no internet but also no TV. Shock horror! Yet much to his amazement, an AT&T rep showed up at the Maxsters house on Thanksgiving Day to fix the lines coming into his home that had been chewed by a squirrel. Finally Max gets down to work by bringing up Trumps lament that there isn’t a news station sycophantic enough and that there should be a new state run channel that seems to say nothing but great things about the Trumpster. Next Max gets into the General Motors layoffs which are bad enough, but Max explains why some of this is market based, but some of it is also caused by Trump’s tariffs. But let’s not forget Saudi Arabia is going to invest $450b in the United States that will surely make up for the GM layoffs. Yeah, right! Although Max does deliver a real solution for the Trump to deliver to those laid off workers. Yes, use all the new US Steel plants that are to be built to hire some of these workers. This does get Max to the missed opportunity that Trump could literally have been a transformational president, although a symptom of all this is Trump surrounding himself with people like Paul Manafort who it turns out are not capable of outsmarting Robert Mueller. 

Max misses his Thursday show due to a hangover, shameful but true, so he has to do his Thursday show on Friday morning. In other words, the tax cut is helping people who don't even live in America.  Max then gets to Donald Trump being interviewed by the press, and the responsibility of a reporter who is interviewing any politician, in particular though this president, especially when he is claiming people voted multiple times simply by changing their clothes. Finally Max sends a challenge to Alex Jones about voter fraud.

And if you thought the tax cut would pay for it'self then Max has a bridge in Brooklyn he would like to sell you. Max also does his best to not talk about Brett Kavanaugh but in the end fails miserably. Max starts off by talking about NAFTA 2.0, otherwise known as USMCA (or as Max calls it, Yoosmucca), and examines what the real difference between NAFAT 1.0 and USMCA? It turns out as you might expect, not a lot despite Trump saying it is a world class trade deal which is about as well as the so-called middle class tax cut went over. Next Max gets a bit wonkish as he describes what is happening to the American farmer and how overall Trump is making the American farmer much worse off despite what the White House is saying. To prove his point Max gets into the average increases in pay, which on the surface seem like a great deal for the Average Working American, but in fact this is not such a good deal after all as higher income earners are the ones getting the biggest share of the increase. Finally Max gets into some thoughtful analysis of what Brett Kavanaugh should have done in order to win over the Democrats which was mainly to hand out beer.

This is what it has come to, Trump claims that China hacked Hillary Clinton's emails, so the FBI had to say this is not true. So Trump's own FBI tells him he is wrong. Yikes! Then Trump claims that the NBC Lester Holt interview was “fudged,” which makes Max ask is Trump simply like the old song “It wasn't me”? Deny everything until people question whether they are losing their minds. Next Max examines Trumps Tweets from the past few hours, which seem never ending, attacking the press, which Max thought was protected by the Constitution something so-called Conservatives used to care about.  Although Trump does find time to attack books, Google and to state that he would like to see a Conservative social media site. It's called the Internet Donald, although Max does take the time to explain to Donald how all this could work. Finally Max explains how Trump says the Democrats could be violent unless the evangelicals help him out.

Max is also of the opinion that Trump is itching to place tariffs on German cars, no matter what happens as Trump is really upset that there are so many Mercedes Benz in the United States. Whatever makes you feel better guys. Finally Max is surprised to find out that Trump's new economic czar does not in fact have an economics background. Who'd thunk it.
