The Establishment's Response to Trump's Threat to Political Corruption by Obama Admin (Part II) | Truth Over News

In a recent episode, we discussed part one of the establishment's sudden response to Trump's unexpected presidency in January 2017. Today, we run through part two of the timeline as it simply could not be encompassed in one show. As we noted previously, the hard reality is that the Intelligence Community, the Obama administration, and the political establishment never expected Trump to win. And when he did win, the intelligence community was suddenly faced with a very real problem. How do they cover up their actions? Their answer was to set out to destroy Trump's presidency. Or at least fatally hobble, or even cripple, the new Trump administration. As we stated in our previous show, the timeline of the establishment's actions in the first few months of 2017 tells the story of an establishment response to the very real threat that the young Trump administration presented to the long-standing, and corrupt, political structure of our nation. By way of quick recap, events were set in motion during a Jan. 5 meeting in Obama's office that included FBI Director James Comey, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, Vice President Joe Biden, and national security adviser rSusan Rice. Comey's first action was to tell Congress on Jan. 10, 2017, that he could neither confirm nor deny an investigation into Trump—despite privately telling Trump that he was not under investigation. But it was Jan. 12 that marked some of the most crucial events that would shape things to come. ⭕️Watch in-depth videos based on Truth & Tradition at Epoch TV

Because of the debunked Russia Collusion debacle,  perceptions exist to this day that the FBI is acting on behalf of a politically motivated DOJ.  The country was convulsed by the inappropriate misuse of the FBI by Comey and his team at headquarters, none of whom have been held accountable.  Leadership always seems to escape.  The FBI can't operate like it did under Comey where they decided to open a case against Trump officials without any adequate reason or legal basis to do so.  Right now we see a cavalcade of FBI steps that lead reasonable people to believe that Dems are using the powers of the DOJ to protect Joe Biden.  Half the country now believes the FBI is pursuing policies and political agenda of Democrats over Republicans.   GUEST:  KEVIN BROCK, FORMER TOP FBI OFFICIAL

Fashion designer Rachel Comey has always done things in a tightly focused way—and on her own terms. For more than two decades, she has followed an independent, wholly original approach to clothing design and retail that has resulted in her eponymous brand's staying power. From novelty underwear with pockets, to a hand-painted shirt that musician David Bowie once wore on the Late Show with David Letterman, to her trademark high-waisted, wide-legged Legion pants, Comey's designs stand out for their artful craft, distinctive aesthetic, and no-fuss sensibility. Beautiful as they are, they're also, in a sense, utilitarian: Comey spends her time imagining her wearers' needs as they go about their days and designs around that. There is something about the entire Rachel Comey universe that comes across as effortlessly cool.On this episode, Comey talks with Andrew about her 20-plus years in the fashion industry experimenting while staying true to herself, childhood memories that have helped shape her enduring designs, and her attention toward creating joy through clothing.Special thanks to our Season 6 sponsor, L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts.Show notes:Full transcriptRachel Comey[34:29] Fashion Week[47:39] Pioneer Works[49:14] High Maintenance[52:08] Legion Pant

Is it a coincidence that both James Comey and Andrew McCabe, two FBI directors deemed traitors by then President Trump, were both selected for the most intense and invasive audit that the IRS conducts? It's possible that this was a random occurrence, but the odds are less than the odds of winning the Texas Powerball lottery. Regardless of party affiliation or ideological leaning, everyone should agree that using the IRS to persecute political opponents is wrong and must stop. There's only one way to do that. Put the IRS out of business by replacing the income tax with the FAIRtax.

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON AUGUST 10, 2022 The FBI is dissolving before our eyes into a rogue security service akin to those in Eastern Europe during the Cold War. Take the FBI's deliberately asymmetrical application of the law. This week the bureau surprise-raided the home of former President Donald Trump — an historical first. A massive phalanx of FBI agents swooped into the Trump residence while he was not home, to confiscate his personal property, safe, and records. All of this was over an archival dispute of presidential papers common to many former presidents. Agents swarmed the entire house, including the wardrobe closet of the former first lady. Note we are less than 90 days out from a midterm election, and this was not just a raid, but a political act. The Democratic Party is anticipated to suffer historical losses. Trump was on the verge of announcing his 2024 presidential candidacy. In many polls, he remains the Republican front-runner for the nomination — and well ahead of incumbent President Joe Biden in a putative 2024 rematch. In 2016 then FBI Director James Comey announced that candidate Hillary Clinton was guilty of destroying subpoenaed emails — a likely felony pertaining to her tenure as secretary of state. Yet he all but pledged that she would not be prosecuted given her status as a presidential candidate. As far as targeting presidential candidates, Trump was impeached in 2020 ostensibly for delaying military aid to Ukraine by asking Ukrainian officials to investigate more fully the clearly corrupt Biden family — given Joe Biden at the time was a likely possible presidential opponent in 2020. The FBI has devolved into a personal retrieval service for the incorrigible Biden family. It suppressed, for political purposes, information surrounding Hunter Biden's missing laptop on the eve of the 2020 election. Previously, the FBI never pursued Hunter's fraudulently registered firearm, his mysterious foreign income, his felonious crack cocaine use, or his regular employment of foreign prostitutes. Yet in a pre-dawn raid just before the 2020 election, the FBI targeted the home of journalist James O'Keefe on grounds that someone had passed to him the lost and lurid diary of Ashley Biden, Biden's wayward daughter. At various times, in Stasi-style the FBI has publicly shackled Trump economic advisor Peter Navarro, swarmed the office of Trump's legal counsel Rudy Giuliani, and sent a SWAT team to surround the house of Trump ally Roger Stone. Meanwhile, terrorists and cartels walk with impunity across an open border. FBI Director Christopher Wray last week cut short his evasive testimony before Congress. He claimed he had to leave for a critical appointment — only to use his FBI Gulfstream luxury jet to fly to his favorite vacation spot in the Adirondacks. Wray took over from disgraced interim FBI Director Andrew McCabe. The latter admitted lying repeatedly to federal investigators and signed off on a fraudulent FBI FISA application. He faced zero legal consequences. McCabe, remember, was also the point man in the softball Hillary Clinton email investigation — while his wife was a political candidate and recipient of thousands of dollars from a political action committee with close ties to the Clinton family. McCabe took over from disgraced FBI Director James Comey. On 245 occasions, Comey claimed under oath before the House Intelligence Committee that he had no memory or knowledge of key questions concerning his tenure. With impunity, he leaked confidential FBI memos to the media. Comey took over from Director Robert Mueller. Implausibly, Mueller swore under oath that he had no knowledge, either of the Steele dossier or of Fusion GPS, the firm that commissioned Christopher Steele to compile the dossier. But those were the very twin catalysts that had prompted his entire special investigation into the Russian collusion hoax. FBI legal counsel Kevin Clinesmith was convicted of a felony for altering an FBI warrant request to spy on an innocent Carter Page. The FBI, by Comey's own public boasts, bragged how it caught National Security Advisor designate General Michael Flynn in its Crossfire Hurricane Russian collusion hoax. As special counsel, Mueller then fired two of his top investigators — Lisa Page and Peter Strzok — for improper personal and professional behavior. He then staggered their releases to mask their collaborative wrongdoing. Mueller's team deleted critical cell phone evidence under subpoena that might well have revealed systemic FBI-related bias. The FBI interferes with and warps national elections. It hires complete frauds as informants who are far worse than its targets. It humiliates or exempts government and elected officials based on their politics. It violates the civil liberties of individual American citizens. The FBI's highest officials now routinely mislead Congress. They have erased or altered court and subpoenaed evidence. They illegally leak confidential material to the media. And they have lied under oath to federal investigators. The agency has become dangerous to Americans and an existential threat to their democracy and rule of law. The FBI should be dispersing its investigatory responsibilities to other government investigative agencies that have not yet lost the public's trust. ——- ABOUT THE WRITER ——– (Victor Davis Hanson is a distinguished fellow of the Center for American Greatness. It's a must-read that every person, religious and non-religious, should buy and peruse every night before bed. It'll make you think harder, pray more ardently, and understand your civilization better." — Ben Shapiro, host of "The Ben Shapiro Show" "Dennis Prager's commentary on Exodus will rank among the greatest modern Torah commentaries. That is how important I think it is. And I am clearly not alone... It might well be on its way to becoming the most widely read Torah commentary of our time—and by non-Jews as well as by Jews." — Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, bestselling author of Jewish Literacy Why do so many people think the Bible, the most influential book in world history, is outdated? Why do our friends and neighbors – and sometimes we ourselves – dismiss the Bible as irrelevant, irrational, immoral, or all of these things? This explanation of the Book of Exodus, the second book of the Bible, will demonstrate that the Bible is not only powerfully relevant to today's issues, but completely consistent with rational thought. Do you think the Bible permitted the trans-Atlantic slave trade? You won't after reading this book. Do you struggle to love your parents? If you do, you need this book. Do you doubt the existence of God because belief in God is “irrational?” This book will give you reason after reason to rethink your doubts. The title of this commentary is, “The Rational Bible” because its approach is entirely reason-based. The reader is never asked to accept anything on faith alone. As Prager says, “If something I write does not make rational sense, I have not done my job.” The Rational Bible is the fruit of Dennis Prager's forty years of teaching the Bible to people of every faith, and no faith. On virtually every page, you will discover how the text relates to the contemporary world and to your life. His goal: to change your mind – and then change your life.   Highly Recommended by ACU. This explanation of the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible, demonstrates clearly and powerfully that the opposite is true. The Bible remains profoundly relevant—both to the great issues of our day and to each individual life. It is the greatest moral guide and source of wisdom ever written. Do you doubt the existence of God because you think believing in God is irrational? This book will give you many reasons to rethink your doubts. Do you think faith and science are in conflict? You won't after reading this commentary on Genesis. Do you come from a dysfunctional family? It may comfort you to know that every family discussed in Genesis was highly dysfunctional! The title of this commentary is “The Rational Bible” because its approach is entirely reason-based. The reader is never asked to accept anything on faith alone. In Dennis Prager's words, “If something I write is not rational, I have not done my job.” The Rational Bible is the fruit of Dennis Prager's forty years of teaching the Bible—whose Hebrew grammar and vocabulary he has mastered—to people of every faith and no faith at all. THE THESIS: The Party intends to bar Trump from running for President. If they succeed, they will announce to some 45-50% of people with center-right views, their solution is no longer in the voting “booth.” When a large group of people learn that they no longer have the vote, it is simply a matter of time until small cells of them begin to use violence. There are elements of The Party that have been courting that outcome for at least five years. God forbid they get it, but they are doing what would precipitate it.   James Comey will be our guide in this show. We were lectured that Comey is a “good cop” and “unimpeachably honest.” So, when James Comery detailed the multiple National Security felonies Hillary Clinton had committed, and then said “no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges” against her, he set the bar. If this is all about “records retention”, then no reasonable prosecutor will prosecute. If it's about something related to Jan 6, then the FBI can immediately raid Kammi Harris's house since she is a major fundraiser for Black Lives Matter, Inc., and Antifa. So, let us all thank James Comey, “a good cop.”  THE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES:  Isaiah 30:18 18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;     therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice.     Blessed are all who wait for him! Romans 12:18-20 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him;     if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” THE NEWS & COMMENT: Does the FBI's raid seem proportionate to some missing documents? A 9.5 hour search wherein the seized all documents? Scott Johnson on what we know about the raid . . . and where they banned Trump's lawyers from observing and did not give them a copy of the search warrant? They also told President Trump's staff to turn off security cameras (a demand the staff refused).  FBI searched Melania's wardrobe, spent hours in Trump's private office during Mar-a-Lago raid Even alcohol addled Nancy Pelosi knows how bad “FBI raid” sounds, she calls it a “visit.” [AUDIO] - Mitch McConnell's dear, DEAR friend, Nancy Pelosi refused to say “raid”, she pretends the FBI “visited” Maralago.  A twenty-something McConnell staffer typed some words . . .  Mitch McConnell's comms team typed some words: “The country deserves a thorough and immediate explanation of what led to the events of Monday. Attorney General Garland and the Department of Justice should already have provided answers to the American people and must do so immediately.” Fresh from calling Lisa Murkowski a “strong leader”, Tim Scott wants us to trust the FBI until we have reason to not trust them . . . L.O.L.  [AUDIO] -  Tim Scott says the American public needs to let the FBI's search and DOJ investigation of former Pres. It's good to see young conservatives who understand the stakes . . .  Republicans Have No Idea What Time It Is - Shawn Fleetwood is an intern at The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington. He also serves as a state content writer for Convention of States Action “Taken collectively, the lackluster reaction from Republicans demonstrates once again that the party still doesn't grasp the moment we're living in. This isn't 1990s politics anymore. The days of “bipartisanship” and “reaching across the aisle” are long behind us. Democrats have repeatedly shown they have no interest in letting bygones be bygones. One needs to look no further than the left's infiltration of major American institutions and amassing of power within government agencies, which they've actively used to punish their political opponents at every available opportunity. Whether it's the FBI's orchestration of the phony Trump-Russia collusion investigation or the IRS's harassing of conservative Tea Party groups during the Obama administration, the message from leftists is clear: Take your Constitution and shove it. For Republicans like Scott to suggest that agencies such as the FBI still possess any semblance of objectivity after everything they've put the country through the past several years is not only laughable; it's indicative of just how out of touch Republicans are with the reality the country finds itself in today. Whether the GOP likes to admit it, America is engaged in a cold civil war, and all available evidence shows the left has no intention of backing down. At the end of the day, Republican statements of condemnation and outrage over Democrats' abuse of government powers are just empty words. Until Republicans learn to punch back forcibly against Democrats and punish corrupt DOJ officials for their criminal actions, leftists throughout America's government will not hesitate to use every tool in their arsenal to go after anyone who stands in the way of their neo-Marxist utopia. Unfortunately for those who love America, the GOP has largely shown it is both incapable and unwilling to do so, thus leaving an already-fragile country on the brink.” Here is our Patron Saint of good cops everywhere. THE THESIS: The FBI is attacking a movement, the effort of emphasize that un-elected functionaries not in charge and to right-size the relationship between the people and what's supposed be be our employees. The proof of that comes from the FBI itself.  James Comey said about Hillary Clinton's thousands of National Security felonies--the same type of offense the FBI claims caused the surprise raid--”no reasonable prosecutor would pursue charges.” So, by Comey's definition, the FBI is unreasonably hoping to find and unreasonable prosecutor to unreasonable file charges against Donald Trump. But, Hillary, Susan Rice and Huma Abedin, all of whom illegally handled and transferred Top Secret and Classified information, are members in good standing of The Party, so they get shielded by the Party. The FBI is attacking you.  THE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES:  Matthew 5:43-48  Love for Enemies 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Bible verses about favoritism God will punish the wicked THE NEWS & COMMENT: Of course it's not “just” President Trump the FBI is attacking. They are going after a movement.  BREAKING: FBI Confiscates Cell Phone Of Republican Congressman And, it's not just Democrats and the FBI, it's The Party. This is yet another example of why use that phrase. The 20 Republican Senators Who Voted To Confirm Merrick Garland Owe America An Apology The Rule of Law from a man who swims in corruption  [AUDIO] -  CHUCK SCHUMER on the FBI raiding President Trump's home: “The rule of the law, the protection of democracy is a key issue here.” No answer from Chuck's dear, DEAR friend, the senior Senator from pharma [AUDIO] - Mitch McConnell (R-KY) doesn't answer the question about the FBI's search of Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence. Time Young makes the point beautifully and clearly  Kevin McCarthy, who bats 0% at actually doing anything to confront The Party, who is dear, DEAR friends with Liz Cheney and Nancy Pelosi is all pistol grease and no weapon McCarthy talks tough Cruze does better, but where is the legislation, Senator? Are you still convinced Jan 6 was an insurrection? Cruz make a Twitter thread, which is quite good DeSantis nailed it on one tweet: “The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime's political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves. Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries? Banana Republic.” We will be wise to heed what our friend from Legal Insurrection says: Professor Jacobson: “This is a provocation. They are trying to get a reaction that allows a further crackdown. Don't take the bait.” This is obviously a campaign ad with being labeled as such. It's dark and foreboding and it's all true, all of it [AUDIO] - Here's what President Trump posted on Truth Social Here's an email I got from Alex, a very friendly, gentlemanly, smart, creative, kind and super wealthy man who has made an enormous fortune in Washington, D.C. Alex and I have since corresponded on this and he sees my point I address in the Podcast.  “hello.  it's been a while. where are we now, after the FBI raid on Mar-a-lago?  i hope you will allow me to point you to an important piece written by my friend, mark halperin.  you will find it here:  Prosecutorial Discretion in it, Mark notes… We are not headed to civil war, we are in one. In this, Trump has already won. He has forced the Federal government to urgently defend itself from half of its own people by trying to take out the leader of those people. He has forced The Trump Party to secede from the Federal government as its way forward. Trump has broken us. That the damn pundits are still talking endlessly about the price of gas and bacon (as painful as those are for America's working families) proves we are just the walking dead and still don't know it. Until everyone admits openly that Trump has won, that the country is truly broken, that we cannot fix it by usual means, everything will just get worse. I read Mark's emails every morning.  I find them a necessity and urge you to subscribe.  the road ahead is bumpy and mark's emails always bring smart thinking. As always, if this email clutters your inbox, pl let me know and you will, in a short while, be spared.  Let's not forget the quality of the people making the claims against you [AUDIO] - Pelosi claims China is “one of the ‘free-est' societies . . .” BREAKING: Judge Reportedly Behind Mar A Lago Raid Warrant Is Former Jeffrey Epstein Lawyer, Obama Donor. Georgia Prosecutor Targeting Trump Bases Court Filing On Fake News In the response brief she filed last Thursday in support of the special purpose grand jury's subpoena of Graham, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis told a Georgia federal court that “a central focus” of her investigation into the 2020 election “is former President Donald Trump's January 2, 2021, telephone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger requesting that the Secretary ‘find 11,780 votes' in the former President's favor.” With that opening paragraph, the Fulton County Democrat revealed the hoax of an investigation she is running. Trump did not request that Raffensperger “find 11,780 votes.” Period. It never happened. [AUDIO] - Remember when Jimmy Comey exonerated Hillary while admitting Hillary committed National Security felonies?  Remember this?  Two of 4 warrants letting FBI spy on ex-Trump aide Carter Page were not valid, says DOJ; The DOJ now believes it didn't have probable cause to think Carter Page might be acting as an agent of a foreign power, which was required to surveil him. The FBI's unprecedented search of former President Donald Trump's Florida residence ricocheted around government, politics and a polarized country Tuesday along with questions as to why the Justice Department — notably cautious under Attorney General Merrick Garland — decided to take such a drastic step. Answers weren't quickly forthcoming. Agents on Monday searched Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, which is also a private club, as part of a federal investigation into whether the former president took classified records from the White House to his Florida residence, people familiar with the matter said. It marked a a dramatic escalation of law enforcement scrutiny of Trump, who faces an array of inquiries tied to his conduct in the waning days of his administration. From echoes of Watergate to the more immediate House probe of the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, Washington, a city used to sleepy Augusts, reeled from one speculative or accusatory headline to the next. Was the Justice Department politicized? What prompted it to seek authorization to search the estate for classified documents now, months after it was revealed that Trump had taken boxes of materials with him when he left the White House after losing the 2020 election? Garland has not tipped his hand despite an outcry from some Democrats impatient over whether the department was even pursuing evidence that has surfaced in the Jan. 6 probe and other investigations— and from Republicans who were swift to echo Trump's claims that he was the victim of political prosecution. All Garland has said publicly is that "no one is above the law." FBI agents descended on Trump's shuttered-for-the-season home — he was in New York, a thousand or so miles away — with search warrants. Monday's search intensified the months-long probe into how classified documents ended up in boxes of White House records located at Mar-a-Lago earlier this year. A separate grand jury is investigating efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, and it all adds to potential legal peril for Trump as he lays the groundwork for a potential repeat run for the White House. Familiar battle lines, forged during a a four-year presidency shadowed by investigations, quickly took shape again. Trump and his allies sought to cast the search as a weaponization of the criminal justice system and a Democratic-driven effort to keep him from winning another term in 2024 — though the Biden White House said it had no prior knowledge and current FBI Director Christopher Wray was appointed by Trump five years ago. Trump, disclosing the search in a lengthy statement late Monday, asserted that agents had opened a safe at his home, and he described their work as an "unannounced raid" that he likened to "prosecutorial misconduct." Justice Department spokesperson Dena Iverson declined to comment on the search, including whether Garland had personally authorized it. About two dozen Trump supporters stood in protest at midmorning Tuesday in the Florida summer heat and sporadic light rain on a bridge near the former president's residence. One held a sign reading "Democrats are Fascists" while others carried flags saying "2020 Was Rigged," "Trump 2024" and Biden's name with an obscenity. Some cars honked in support as they passed. Trump's Vice President Mike Pence, a potential 2024 rival, tweeted on Tuesday: "Yesterday's action undermines public confidence in our system of justice and Attorney General Garland must give a full accounting to the American people as to why this action was taken and he must do so immediately" Trump was planning to meet Tuesday at his Bedminster, New Jersey, club with members of the Republican Study Committee, a group headed by Rep. Jim Banks of Indiana that says it is committed to putting forth his priorities in Congress. The FBI reached out to the Secret Service shortly before serving a warrant, a third person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press. Secret Service agents contacted the Justice Department and were able to validate the warrant before facilitating access to the estate, the person said. The Justice Department has been investigating the potential mishandling of classified information since the National Archives and Records Administration said it had received from Mar-a-Lago 15 boxes of White House records, including documents containing classified information, earlier this year. The National Archives said Trump should have turned over that material upon leaving office, and it asked the Justice Department to investigate. There are multiple federal laws governing the handling of classified records and sensitive government documents, including statutes that make it a crime to remove such material and retain it at an unauthorized location. Though a search warrant does not necessarily mean criminal charges are near or even expected, federal officials looking to obtain one must first demonstrate to a judge that they have probable cause that a crime occurred. Two people familiar with the matter, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation, said the search on Monday was related to the records probe. Agents were also looking to see if Trump had additional presidential records or any classified documents at the estate. Trump has previously maintained that presidential records were turned over "in an ordinary and routine process." His son Eric said on Fox News on Monday night that he had spent the day with his father and that the search happened because "the National Archives wanted to corroborate whether or not Donald Trump had any documents in his possession." Asked how the documents ended up at Mar-a-Lago, Eric Trump said the boxes were among items that got moved out of the White House during "six hours" on Inauguration Day, as the Bidens prepared to move into the building. "My father always kept press clippings," Eric Trump said. "He had boxes, when he moved out of the White House." Trump himself, in a social media post Monday night, called the search a "weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don't want me to run for President in 2024." Trump took a different stance during the 2016 presidential campaign, frequently pointing to an FBI investigation into his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, over whether she mishandled classified information via a private email server she used as secretary of state. Then-FBI Director James Comey concluded that Clinton had sent and received classified information, but the FBI did not recommend criminal charges. Trump lambasted that decision and then stepped up his criticism of the FBI as agents began investigating whether his campaign had colluded with Russia to tip the 2016 election. He fired Comey during that probe, and though he appointed Wray months later, he repeatedly criticized him, too, as president. Thomas Schwartz, a Vanderbilt University history professor who studies and writes about the presidency, said there is no precedent for a former president facing an FBI raid -- even going back to Watergate. President Richard Nixon wasn't allowed to take tapes or other materials from the White House when he resigned in 1974, Schwartz noted, and many of his papers remained in Washington for years before being transferred to his presidential library in California. The probe is hardly the only legal headache confronting Trump. A separate investigation related to efforts by him and his allies to undo the results of the 2020 presidential election — which led to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol — has also been intensifying in Washington. Several former White House officials have received grand jury subpoenas. And a district attorney in Fulton County, Georgia, is investigating whether Trump and his close associates sought to interfere in that state's election, which was won by Democrat Joe Biden. - ZEKE MILLER, ERIC TUCKER and MICHAEL BALSAMO Associated Press ___ Associated Press writers Terry Spencer, Meg Kinnard, Michelle L. A bombshell, unprecedented leak at the Supreme Court... Megyn Kelly is joined live in studio at SiriusXM by former Attorney General Bill Barr, author of "One Damn Thing After Another," to talk about the egregious leak out of the Supreme Court, which signals Roe vs. Wade will be overturned, the potential criminal charges to come, the "mob" justice this could bring, what will happen to abortion in America, whether court packing will happen now, the way the media is covering the news, "rigged" 2020 election claims, the forces against Trump like Comey and Mueller (and Trump), and more. Then, we continue discussing the massive news today about the Supreme Court with law professor Alan Dershowitz and Allie Beth Stuckey, host of "Relatable," on the ethics of leaking the decision, what the decision will mean for abortion to America, what it might mean for other rights and decisions, the hysterical reaction of the left, the long road for pro-life advocates, the pro-choice movement's next moves, and more.Follow The Megyn Kelly Show on all social platforms: YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/MegynKellyTwitter: http://Twitter.com/MegynKellyShowInstagram: http://Instagram.com/MegynKellyShowFacebook: http://Facebook.com/MegynKellyShow Find out more information at: https://www.devilmaycaremedia.com/megynkellyshow
