Finally Max gets down to work by bringing up Trumps lament that there isn’t a news station sycophantic enough and that there should be a new state run channel that seems to say nothing but great things about the Trumpster. Next Max gets into the General Motors layoffs which are bad enough, but Max explains why some of this is market based, but some of it is also caused by Trump’s tariffs. But let’s not forget Saudi Arabia is going to invest $450b in the United States that will surely make up for the GM layoffs. Yeah, right! Although Max does deliver a real solution for the Trump to deliver to those laid off workers. Yes, use all the new US Steel plants that are to be built to hire some of these workers. This does get Max to the missed opportunity that Trump could literally have been a transformational president, although a symptom of all this is Trump surrounding himself with people like Paul Manafort who it turns out are not capable of outsmarting Robert Mueller.

Next Max jumps into the latest figures, which reinforce much of what we already know, that the massive tax cuts for corporations and the well-off have translated into, increased stock buy backs and other benefits for the stock holding class, which let's not forget is only 48% of the US population, and of that, 80% of the stock market wealth is owned by 20% of the population. So it is no surprise that these people have done very well from the tax cuts, in particular as it turns out, companies are spending more on stock buy backs than they are on pay increases for their employees, or investing in plant and machinery. What's worse is that much of the increase in investment is from only five companies, which is great if you work for them. And if you thought the tax cut would pay for it'self then Max has a bridge in Brooklyn he would like to sell you. Finally Max gets into the terrible weekend Trump had in France where he was supposed to be remembering those killed in WW1.

This led the conversation down a rabbit hole which Max tried and failed to get out of, despite the fact the topic started off on the benign topic of, will there be a “blue wave” or not. Unfortunately even the Max Miller Dog seems on edge on Election Day as he paces around the Max Miller Studio, after all dogs are supposed to be sensitive to negative changes in the ether, and the MMD seems to be sensitive to Election Day Blues emanating from the humans around him. Next Max jumps into his favorite foil, Shallow Hal (Sean Hannity), who lied about appearing on stage with the Trumpster, and will Fox News do anything about this? Umm.. we already know the answer. It wasn’t that long ago that the GOP claimed to be the party of optimism and hope, well that seems to have been ditched in favor of darkness and pessimism, wrapped up with a dose of fake patriotism. Surprisingly it turns out that more people are concerned about voter suppression than voter fraud, although you wouldn’t know that listing to Trump and Jeff Sessions.

But as Max explains, what odds would you give that Donald Trump would actually follow through on this proposal? Not much is Max's answer. Then Max gets into the affect this may have on the drug companies themselves, which as Max explains, many of them are not even American. Shock, horror. In fact 50% of the top 20 drug companies in the world are NOT American. How can this be? Next Max gets into the ten pipe bombs that were mailed recently to top Democrats and their supporters, and the fact that Donald Trump's supporters are saying as no one was killed, it is all a head fake by some left wing nut to make Trump looked bad. Next Max jumps into the new trade deal with Mexico, which turns out to be nothing more than a reordering of NAFTA and even then needs to be ratified by congress. Max then jumps into Donald Trump and Scientology and what it takes to believe something that when you realise makes no sense whatsoever you are able to keep believing it through thick and thin. Finally Max explains that preschoolers are probably the smartest human beings on the planet.

Max also explains that being an independent is actually quite hard as the right wing people get mad and the left wing want to cry. Max finds he either wants to slap them silly or give them a hug. Max then gets in to Donald Trump’s choice of the characters he hangs out with. If you can judge a person by their friends then you have to wonder about Trumps choices, not forgetting of course that Trump told us he would hire only the very best. Next Max gets into Paul Manafort and his trial, which is proving by the hour the old adage that there is no honor amongst thieves. But why does Manafort think he can win this case? Can you spell “pardon” everybody? Obviously Max has to get into fellow Austinite Alex Jones being kicked off of just about every social platform on the planet, although let’s not forget these companies are private and can do what they want. But Max does offer some solid advice and ideas for getting cheap meds from Canada, and makes the suggestions that Alex come on the Max Miller show so that he can explain how the whole world is against him, but one thing is for sure, Alex sure does whine a lot. Naturally Little Tucker Carlson has to come to his aid. After all this it is amazing Max finds time to talk about tariffs. Phew!

Next Max gets back into that helpless gimboid Carter Page who seems to have been born with a permanent foot in his mouth. Max also goes over yet again about Trump's mental issues when Trump stated that is father was born in Germany….um.. not true. Trumps dad was born in the US. Next Max gets into all the payoff and affairs that Trump seems to have had and how Mrs. Trump cried when she found out Trump had won the election. No wonder. Max starts off by pointing out that he is not an athlete, and is amazed that by having a personal trainer he has learnt how to stretch properly. He is even more amazed in the results of stretching properly. This just goes to show that Max really is not an athlete in any shape fashion or form. After going off at a tangent, Max endeavors to get things back on track by talking about Trump cancelling the meeting with Kim Jong-un and the even more fantastical letter that the White House sent to the North Korean leader. Max also digs into yet again Trump's idea of fixing the trade issues with China, whereas China is connecting all things together, American farmers, North Korea, ZTE, and so on. Meanwhile Trump is out maneuvered in every way. Remember when Trump “trade wars were an easy win.” As if to back this up Max reminds us that in many ways he supports Trumps ideas, trade reform, infrastructure and so on. The trouble is Trump is wholly incapable of executing any of this. Next Max gets into the letter the White House sent to Kim Jong un which clearly Trump was so proud of that he had it released to the public, unfortunately it looked like is written by a bunch of twelve year old kids. Finally Max has to remind everyone that the Cowardly Lion, AKA Paul Ryan, really is the world's biggest hypocrite.

Max is late to the start of the week, so he has to dig right into the fact he is a day behind in keeping up with the news, and by reminding us that all he wants is anyone in DC, Republican or Democrat to do anything positive for the average working American. Remember the unyielding criticism that Hillary Clinton received for having a private email server in her basement, well now we find out that Donald is using his own unsecured phones, one just for Twitter and one for news. Max wonders if Shallow Hall (Sean Hannity) will get as upset about this as he did about Clintons email server. Next Max digs into the so-called trade war with China, which was supposed to be a prime example of Donald Trump's negotiating skills, and now we learn that Trump's team cannot even agree on the type of trade deal we even would like to have with China, and of course the Chinese have noticed. Which means the US could continue to lose out to other countries in the race to sell to China. On top of that Donald still wants to help the Chinese company ZTE. You know the one the Feds said broke sanctions by selling to Iran. Max then turns to Trumps never ending list of charges and unfounded accusations. Finally Max looks at how Trump is asking the DOJ to investigate his enemies, which of course is totally legal and above board.  And once again Max asks, will someone please explain to him what the Democrats actually stand for?

Max hits the mid-week mark by reexamining his commitment to being an independent, and reminds his listeners that he supports some of Trumps ideas; infrastructure, beautiful healthcare, trade that’s free but fair, and a solid middle class tax cut. Big prob though.. we will see it...? Max is ever the optimist and keeps looking for anyone in DC, Republican or Democrat doing anything to help the average working American. Max starts by revisiting the opening of the American embassy in Jerusalem, even though this was a few days ago now, but Max has had time to think about this. Next Max revisits Trumps campaign promises, including standing up to big business, big pharma, China and Russia. How is that going so far? Max goes through the list one by one to explain not that well. Big business is buying back stock, big pharma was let off the hook just the other week. China and Russia are of course in their own category. Next we discover that Trump made money from the businesses he never gave up, including the Trump hotel in DC where foreign governments and other people wanting to curry favor with Donald like to stay. And let’s not forget that Mar-a-Lago charges the Secret Service for using golf carts. Max is not making this up. Finally it turns out Trump did pay Stormy Daniels after all.

Max is back, and what a day it is, as Max had every intention to talk about the amazing growth in the deficit, the fact that we seem to be governed by Fox & Friends and of course how the Trump tariffs will hurt Americans including farmers. But this was not to be, as Max has to talk about the hot news of the day, and that is that The Trumpsters personal lawyer, who himself has a lawyer (only in Trumpland), has three locations raided by the Feds. Somehow the Feds got into Cohen's hotel room, home and offices all on the same day and time. In fact they even grabbed Cohen's cell phone from his hands. And Max thought he had seen it all in Trumpland already. As a lawyer friend of Max's explains, there had to have been serious examples of criminal activity for the Feds to act this way. Trump likes to surround himself with loyal sycophants who it is now clear, are really not that good at their jobs. Next Max segue's to go after the Democrats who he wonders still to do this day, what it is they stand for. Meanwhile of course Max cannot forget about Stormy Daniels, which for the Donald must be the most expensive one night stand in history.

Max starts off by giving his take on the recent Austin bombings and the effect on the city of Austin where he lives. Next Max gets into Donald's recent telephone call with Russia's Putin to congratulate him on his recent electoral win as after all, it was a free and fair election. Of course he was told in big bold letters “DO NOT CONGRATULATE” as otherwise Donald might have a hard time reading such big words. Needless to say, Donald ignored this advice, which let's not forget leaked out immediately from Donald Trump's own White House. Then Max gets into Trump's choice of lawyers, they may not be lawyerly but they play one on TV. Sure seems to Max that Trump has found a class A legal team and is bound to have Mueller quaking in his boots. Plus now it seems like two more women are suing the Donster, one for defamation, which is the case that could really cause Donald a lot a problems. Here name is Summer Zervos, so now we have Summer & Stormy. No one could make this stuff up.
