"Noriko Martín", es una cantante de flamenco y compositora japonesa, afincada en Madrid desde hace años. La relación de Noriko con el flamenco viene de lejos, pues empezó como bailaora, pero una lesión la obligó a abandonar el baile. Ele não quer apenas sobreviver; quer viver plenamente. E Jesus declara: “Vai, a tua fé te salvou.”Imediatamente ele vê. Mas o milagre não termina nos olhos. O texto diz que Bartimeu passou a seguir Jesus pelo caminho. Antes estava à beira; agora está no caminho. La tragedia ocurrió de noche en una de las capitales más grandes del mundo. Joseph Hawkins, de veintiún años de edad, se encontraba en el patio de su casa cuando lo mataron a tiros desde un auto que pasó velozmente. Se suponía que el joven había tenido vinculación con alguna pandilla de muchachos de la comunidad, aunque esto no pudo comprobarse. Fue un gran dolor para toda la familia. La madre de Joseph, Loma Hawkins, quien no se amilanó ante su muerte, lanzó un programa de televisión que tituló «El provecho de la agonía», en el que invitó a todas las madres que habían pasado por una experiencia similar a venir a exponer ante las cámaras su sentir. El proyecto comenzó a tomar auge. No obstante, dos años después la tragedia golpeó por segunda vez el hogar de Loma. Un segundo hijo, Geraldo, de diecisiete años de edad, fue asesinado en idéntica forma. El dolor para Loma fue casi insoportable. Pero al preguntarle si seguiría con el programa, ella respondió con énfasis: «Sí, y ahora con doble razón.» He aquí una madre doliente y sufrida, pero noble, valiente y determinada, que tomó su desgracia como algo inevitable, y dándole vuelta al dolor, lo usó para lanzar un proyecto que tenía el fin de cambiar el destino de su comunidad. En la zona donde ella vivía, ese tipo de homicidios ocurrían a diario. El esfuerzo de esta mujer contribuyó a cambiar la situación. El comentario de ella fue: «Espero abrir camino, poco a poco, en la conciencia de todo adolescente que, por tener un auto potente y un arma de fuego en la mano, se cree con derecho a matar al que se le ocurra.» Ante desgracias como ésta, la reacción del doliente toma uno de dos cursos: o sume a la persona destrozada en una profunda depresión de la cual no encuentra, ni desea encontrar, salida, o reacciona como lo hizo Loma Hawkins, quien ante el terrible dolor de ver a su hijo muerto a balazos, alzó la vista al cielo y dijo: «Señor, ayúdame a encontrarle algún provecho a esta tragedia.» Ella no sólo se permitió hallar consuelo y fortaleza, sino que actuó inmediatamente en auxilio de otros. Y en su dolor, usó su agonía para lanzar un proyecto con el fin de cambiar a su comunidad. En medio de la desesperación, podemos pedirle a Dios gracia para llenar primero nuestro propio corazón con amor y perdón, y luego para ayudar a otros que tienen aflicciones afines. Uma semana depois, com lágrimas ele a presenteou com um lindo banco: “Existem pessoas boas por aí, e aqui está a prova”, disse ela. Como Valéria, Rute e Noemi sofreram uma grande perda. O marido e os dois filhos de Noemi tinham morrido. E agora ela e sua nora Rute não tinham herdeiros e ninguém para sustentá-las (RUTE 1:1-5). Foi aí que Boaz entrou em cena. Quando Rute foi ao campo colher restos de grãos, Boaz, o proprietário, perguntou sobre ela. Quando soube quem ela era, ele foi gentil com Rute (2:5-9). Maravilhada, Rute perguntou: “O que fiz para merecer tanta bondade?” (v.10). Ele respondeu: “…sei de tudo que você fez por sua sogra desde a morte de seu marido” (v.11).
