The Real Estate InvestHER Show with Elizabeth Faircloth and Andresa Guidelli
After losing her dad at 17 years old, host Andresa Guidelli believed that she learned how to be a strong woman from her mother. After recently discovering that her father was a feminist, Andresa began to realize how much she truly learned from her dad and how this knowledge has helped shape her into the kick-ass investor she is today. In the years after her father passed away, Andresa's mom did everything in her power to keep the family going. While her mom has been one of her biggest role models, Andresa wasn't giving enough credit to her father. Growing up, Andreasa's dad never forced gender roles on any of his three daughters. He would help with cleaning, cooking, and the children without hesitation, and he taught Andresa how to work with tools in his spare time. The time Andresa spent with her dad taught her invaluable lessons that have contributed to her adult life in countless ways. As a parent herself, Andresa vows to reframe gender roles for her son in the same way her father did to encourage her son to be whoever he wants to be. Tune into this week's episode of The Real Estate InvestHER show to hear more about the impact Andresa's father had on her life. Learn how you can redefine gender roles, build confidence, and leave the world a little bit better than you found it! Quotes • “I really thought that the way that I am right now and all I stand for was really because of my dad passing and seeing my mom running her own business, raising three children and being very very strong, and I was wrong with that. That was not what really impacted my life. It was what happened prior to that.” (04:32-04:59)• “There were no gender roles in our household.” (05:32-05:35)• “A lot of the things that [my father] did really impacted how I am right now because I had that role model that unconsciously formed who I am right now and especially who I am in real estate.” (08:35-08:59)• “My father as a role model formed who I am right now and who I am in real estate.” (08:40-08:59) • “As a future man, it is okay for my son to share his thoughts, cry, be upset, or have feelings that he can speak about with me freely that aren't based on his gender.” (12:59-13:11) Your Voice Matters.
