We fuel up on ramen, then take on the Desert Palace as Vivi. There are a lot of torches to light before we confront Kuja and blow up his lies. Then we chase him to the Lost Continent and end for the day. My playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past continues. This week the journey takes Link to the Desert of Mystery in southwestern Hyrule. At the entrance of the desert a mustached man sits next to the sign. It reads: "Pay no attention to the average middle-aged man standing by this sign. Leave him alone!" which is more mysterious this sign, or the desert itself? We'll find out as season three of Legendary Adventures, A Legend of Zelda Podcast continues. What do you think about The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past? Let me know on social media.
Mark and Alex make their escape out of Kuja's secret lair, the Desert Palace. The name holds its own as it is filled with some pretty awesome structures, rooms, and decorations. All, unfortunately, designed to keep prisoners trapped inside. As the party makes their escape Eiko is kidnapped by none other than Zorn and Thorn, creating another issue. Kuja also makes his escape to the Hilde Garde Mk I, and heads to the Lost Continent with Zidane & co. following on the Blue Narciss ship.
The guys get back to tackling the story by heading to the Desert Palace, Kuja's secret lair. Of course, Kuja is waiting for the party and locks them into rooms with retractable floors that have lava underneath. He tasks Zidane and co. to track down the Gulug Stone from Oeilvert which is located on the last undiscovered continent, the Forgotten Continent. There are plenty of new treasures to be found and the next boss lies in wait, Ark.
The Desert Palace! But first, some light reading! Take a journey with us through the backstory of A Link to the Past that you can't actually find within the game. This classic Zelda title came with a 5 page book back in the day and we like to think it would fit nicely in the Hyrule library, in the history section, right next to the book we need.
