We're Definitively Ranking the game, assigning scores to each of the ten key categories that define a great Zelda game: the world, the art style, the gameplay, the pacing, the story, the music, the enemies and bosses, the dungeons, the items, and the side content. We pay our respects to one of the greats while also giving some fair critiques, so come and let us know what you think! JUST AS A REMINDER THERE IS NO SHOW NEXT MONDAY! This week we're doing something very different! By Patron request, we're playing a classic SNES game, The Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past, but we're playing it with a randomizer. Items are moved around, meaning you'll tackle this game in a different order, with different weapons and items than you're used to, and it's a very different experience. Here's the directions we had : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82dogTS1KT4 (Not our video!) and then create your file over here : https://alttpr.com/en We discuss the game itself first, and then our experience with the randomizer, and then of course take on some listener mail. Join us over on our Discord to discuss games, food, or really anything over at https://discord.gg/pb76x32uWY __________________________ If you would like additional bonus episodes of Retrovaniacs or to request a game we must cover, our Patreon is located here : https://www.patreon.com/user?u=21041333 If you enjoy this podcast, why not write a review wherever you download it from? Jap. Klären wir alles auf.

The Western Ghats, recognized as one of the world's eight "hottest hotspots" of biological diversity, is a land where the line between myth and reality often blurs. Among the countless tales whispered by the locals, one stood out: a creature with oddly colored dusk-like skin, known to emerge only with the monsoon rains and vanish as swiftly as it appeared, leaving behind nothing but stories passed down through generations. Let's hunt for a small, monsoon-loving, peculiar, purple creature that has hopped from obscurity into the realm of scientific discovery and a bit of Meme culture. - I'm Cody, and Cryptids Across the Atlas is taking a pit stop to learn about animals that used to be cryptids. ----- Cryptid Map
Season 8 Episode 1 This is the start of Season 8, which is focused on the Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, but that game was released bundled with a remake of the third Zelda Title, A Link to the Past. So, to kick things off we're going to spend a couple episodes revisiting that game and pointing out some of the changes between the two versions. I'm basing much of these episodes off of my Season 3 scripts – but with some updates, and a few corrections. This episode is focused on the developmeny and Legacy of A Link to the Past. With fall (or autumn, if you prefer) around the corner for many of us, it feels like a good time for relaxing music. While we did a pair of episodes focused on relaxing RPG music about four years ago (see Episode 54 and Episode 55), this time, RPGFan's biggest lo-fi fans got together to listen and chat about lo-fi RPG music. Sometimes these are straight from games, but often they come from the incredible community of independent musicians and arrangers. We have both of these and more covered today, to put on your favorite comfy Lofi Girl merch and chill out with us.Featuring: Mike Salbato, Hilary Andreff, Gio Castillo, Wes Iliff; Edited by Paul DennisSpecial Credit: Our title this episode is inspired by and in honor of Homework Radio's excellent fantasy-themed lo-fi playlists. Hey! Listen, D-Pads!This week we tackle one of the most celebrated video games of all time. It's The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past! The Super Nintendo didn't know what hit it when this game launched way back in the early 90's, and to be honest: neither did we!Somehow neither of us played this video game back when it came out, so in spite of our growing love of Zelda, this marked our FIRST experience with what some consider to be the best video game of all time. Plus: Andrew has finally finished Alan Wake 2, so we take some time up top to share our thoughts!Make sure to catch the gameplay segment for today's episode where we play the first 45 minutes here: https://youtu.be/5oKXrvanyd0

Finally, a Zelda game where I can lease my equipment.
Join us as we delve into the fascinating world of articulation in action figures. From the simple swivel joints of vintage toys to the intricately engineered ball joints of modern collectibles, articulation plays a pivotal role in the evolution of action figure design. But articulation isn't just about functionality—it's also about storytelling. We'll explore how articulation influences character personality, conveying emotion and attitude through subtle movements and gestures. Whether it's a heroic stance, a menacing pose, or a graceful leap, articulation breathes life into plastic heroes and villains alike. We also discussed Link to the Past to see if we should go there someday.
