“We do grieve, but we don't grieve without hope. Our grief is a hopeful grief. The losses we sustain and experience in this life are hope-filled because of Jesus, because we have a hope that transcends death itself. We have a God who is redeeming all of creation.”In the first episode of season 3, Alasdair Groves talks about how grief is not something to run from, be ashamed of, or try to get rid of, but grief is an invitation to worship God as the giver of every good gift.   Related resources: “Grief Undone: Walking through Grief alongside the Spirit” | Conference audio by Libby Groves https://www.ccef.org/shop/product/grief-undone-walking-grief-alongside-spirit/ “Is It Right to Feel Grief for What is Grievous?” | Blog post by David Powlison https://www.ccef.org/it-right-feel-grief-what-grievous-part-2-5/ “What do I do when I can't seem to get over my grief?” | Video by Alasdair Groves https://www.ccef.org/video/what-do-i-do-when-i-cant-seem-to-get-over-my-grief/

Bella throws away the note Darcy left for her and quizzes Redcliff out. We analyze Redcliff's overconfidence and speculate how much benevolence there may be beneath his toxicity. We also spend a lot of time trying to understand Bella's personality and moral compass. We debate, but all agree that Bella is undergoing some kind of awakening. We learn that Bella received her golden viper dagger as a child and that Redcliff is sending Bella to the opera too. King and Queen talk about how to deal with the Phantom Scythe. The Queen is unsurprising in her violence, but does surprise us with her love for Arthur and ability to concede she is wrong. The King also surprises us with his ability to stand up for himself. We learn that Neyra too will be going to the ball, which the Bellarcy fans among us interpret as a Bellarcy date. There certainly will be drama! ***

The second of two episodes released on Obi-Wan Kenobi series day one is, oddly enough, called Part Two. I would bet heavily that the next episode in the series, the third one, will be called Part Three. We not only get more young Leia in this one, but we get Ben and Leia TOGETHER. They're the most talked about duo since a beskar plated cultist and a long eared, big eyed, green skinned, sack wearing alien of mysterious origin. The show STILL can't get a foot chase right, but we're less concerned about things like that when Star Wars: Rebels retconning is on the table. Now, there's NO WAY they do that, right? Star Wars has "grievous" bodily harm all the time. I mean, Vader pretty much burned to a crisp, Maul got bisected...and well, I just mentioned Grievous, didn't I? Reva certainly upped her game, but I just want to hear her motivation. Who is she trying to impress? We did it guys! We finished four podcasts and the first and third were done by 5 AM eastern Friday morning. Podcasts 2 and 4 (our recap and discussion episodes) took a little longer, but collecting audio and quality control were a bit more difficult this time around. It was a pleasure, though, to bring our thoughts to the galaxy of Star Wars fans. We just hope our quality control issues are forgiven and people keep coming back for more. We certainly could use some positive reviews! Crosswater Community Church - Sultan, WA

This week, Pastor Jon Merwin wrapped up our "Known" series on Psalm 139. He followed David's thought process from recognizing that GOD sees and knows us to conviction and repentance asking GOD to search him for any grievous or offensive way, and to change him. When we are confronted with our own wrongs we rarely take such a nobel path. Instead, we blame, make excuses, and try to point out the fault in others. Today, if you hear GOD's voice, humble yourself, and ask GOD to search you, and be prepared. No mercy could be greater.

Mercy Mission Synopsis:Radio Announcer: Tragedy has struck Aleen. On the way down to the planet the clones see an Aleena riding a giant insect thing and says ‘Great, it's going to be another one of those planets' in case you'd forgotten that teenage boys are the absolute worst.  The design of the Aleena suggests that Brian Froud has snuck into Lucasfilm; let's see if we get a darkly whimsical fairytale allegory that will give kids nightmares.  Or even David Bowie's crotch (fingers crossed!).  3PO promptly falls down the hole and R2, who is always down for a weird LSD trip, is right behind him.  They start walking and are immediately swarmed by faeries.  They enter a subterranean world that immediately references Dagobah.  Revelation here we come.  3PO and R2 meet the Kindaloo, who look like an Ent and a Landstrider got lost in a Piers Anthony novel.   The Kindaloo see a potential solution in 3PO and send him to see Orphne.  The faeries coalesce into Orphne who promptly tastes 3PO in case you didn't know which kind of faerie queen we were dealing with.  Orphne says that 3PO will do what he is meant to do and gives a riddle.  Fortunately 3PO's speciality is riddles and Never Ending Story references, so he gets to work.  R2, who is basically Puck, gets there first and pees on the right floor symbol and unlocks a water elevator into a flower and 3PO and R2 are spit back onto the surface.  Underground vapors remember that they exist and commence to poison the Aleena.  R2 and 3PO, because they don't breathe, are able to seal the breach and bring peace back to Aleen.  A small Aleena does what we all wanted to do as kids and hugs R2 in thanks.  The clones are still being giant wangs.  The end.Nomad Droids Synopsis:We open on 3PO Spacetiming (™) with Padme to tell her of their adventures.  The cruiser gets attacked by Grievous.  R2 and 3PO “commandeer” a Y-wing and the two end up crashing on a nearby planet.  The locals attack, but they're only about 6” tall.  The Lilliputians proceed to pull a Gulliver's Travels on the two droids.  While bumping proverbial chests with the king, R2 is knocked over by 3PO and crushes him to death…   3PO decides to instill democracy upon them, but that quickly descends into voter fraud (no joke). The droids leave the planet on their newly repaired Y-wing, but don't have enough power, so they land on another nearby planet.  They're brought to this planet's leader, some repair droids doing a great and powerful OZ impression.  The locals revolt and destroy the hologram and lightning producing machine, causing R2 and 3PO to wander away as their power reserves fall to zero.   The clones and Jedi run across the pair.  We end the episode with 3PO telling their story to a captive and unwilling audience in Commander Wolffe. The Clone Wars: Season 4 Episodes 5 and 6: https://www.disneyplus.com/video/1d717a67-fdce-4404-aed6-3cca361e0946https://twitter.com/ClosingCrawlhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/closing-crawl/id1530133296https://www.closingcrawl.com/On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz9X-57K6-VV_GkUBaqvyeAMerch: https://bit.ly/spacetimetm

Will the Nabooans ever be able to tell Gungans apart? What happens when one writer wants to make an homage to The Three Musketeers, and the other one to Kurosawa's Kagemusha? We answer these and other questions.  (P.S. Anakin is captured by Dooku, and that's like the C story!)Our Jedi Fortune Cookie is "Who a person truly is cannot be seen with the eye." The radio announcer chimes in to tell us that Naboo is in peril - civil unrest leads to rumors that the Gungans will side with the separatists and attack Theed, leading Padme and Anakin to head back there. They meet up with Jar-Jar, who informs them that Boss Lyonie is blaming the Naboo for all the problems, and calling for the Gungan military to march on Theed. Anakin quickly realizes Lyonie has been possessed by an evil necklace; once removed, Lyonie realizes he's been tricked by new minister Rish Loo. The minister is in league with the Separatists - once he realizes Lyonie is no longer under control, Rish Loo stabs him and makes his escape. While ensuring the not-dead-yet Lyonie has proper medical care, Anakin and PAdme realize that Jar-Jar looks a lot like Lyonie when wearing the crown, and also has the same voice actor, so he could just pretend to be Boss Lyonie and fix things! Rish Loo rallies the troops to attack Theed to avenge Boss Lyonie , but Boss Lyonie/Jar-Jar shows up to talk them out of it. Rish Loo escapes on a speeder this time, chased by Anakin. At the same time, the droid army arrives to find out why the attack was canceled. "Boss Lyonie'' meets with General Grievous to attempt to call it off. When that doesn't work, he has General Tarpals leave and make a quick speech to Padme about how he really likes the Naboo people and is definitely not going to die in the attack on General Grievous. Then the Gungans attack Grievous, and Tarpals dies, sacrificing himself so Grievous can be captured.Darth Sidious says this is bad, and orders Dooku to capture Skywalker, then trade him back to the Republic for Grievous. Rish Loo leads Skywalker to Dooku, who is also on Naboo. Once they both arrive, Dooku kills Rish Loo, then he and a number of MagnaGuard attack Skywalker and the battle rages! The numbers game is too much for Anakin, and he is captured. Dooku offers the trade, which Padme regretfully declines - Grievous is far more valuable. But Jar-Jar and Lyonie talk her into accepting the deal, because of friendship. The exchange happens, and we reach THE END.The Clone Wars: Season 4 Episodes 5 and 6: https://www.disneyplus.com/video/794938c4-0700-4b1f-a6c3-20aff7ca1b39https://twitter.com/ClosingCrawlhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/closing-crawl/id1530133296https://www.closingcrawl.com/On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz9X-57K6-VV_GkUBaqvyeAMerch: https://bit.ly/spacetimetm

Tune in for another Mudhorn Easter egg review of Book of Boba Fett: The Gathering Storm. We discuss Boba the animal lover, predictions for Din's return to screen, and drop the bomb on the Sarlacc Pit. We are inspired by Chef Grievous to do a Droid Draft in our second half of the show! Droids have always been central to the Star Wars Galaxy. Droids are each largely build to fulfill certain tasks or have certain jobs. So it begs the question, who would we want by our sides? We similarly did a bounty hunter draft a few months back, this time we're each going to select our favorite droids. Once a droid is selected, he is off the board so to speak. And we invited our live audience to join in and say who you would take as well. The 4 main Age Of Republic comics were written by Greg Pak with Tamra Bonvillain as colourist and the following artists did artwork for these stories; Marc Deering, Chris Spouse, Karl Story, Will Sliney, Matteo Buffagni, Scott Koblish and Stefano Landini. The Yoda story (in AoR special) was written by Marc Guggenheim, with Andrea Broccardo as artist and Dono Sánchez-Almara as the colour artist, while the Biggs Darklighter/Porkins story was written & drawn by Jon Adams while Chris O'Halloran did the colours. Leias's comic and the AoR Special were released in April 2019, with Luke Skywalker's released June 2019 (with the other stories released in-between). The characters in this episode have also had a variety of mini-series between them so check out episodes; 14 for Leia, 24 & 40 for Han, 18 & 37 for Lando, 33 for Yoda and 22 for Chewbacca, as well as the variety of the main run of Star Wars comics for the usual trio! The short animated Leia story about her obtaining Boushh's armor is an episode of Forces Of Destiny called Bounty Hunted. In the last episode of SWCIC (episode 46), Mike tackled the weirdest (& potentially the best) instalment of Doctor Aphra so far, where Aphra has been enslaved by the homicidal protocol droid Triple-Zero to assemble a crew to steal his lost memories from some of the most secure imperial archive facilities, causing further entanglement with imperial Magna Tolvan, the capture of rebel general Hera Syndulla, setting imperial experiments free and much more! Mike now has a Patreon, where there's an exclusive new show “Afterthoughts” (with 2 episodes being *FREE* to anyone – one of which is S1 of the Witcher series and the other is The Phantom Menace, as Mike & Megan have started a full Star Wars run-through), plus there are unsplit full-length episodes of GCC, additional photos (including early access to photos of comics for this show) and more, so if you want to support the show and get more content, check it out at http://patreon.com/genuinechitchat Mike was recently on Podcasts We Listen To, speaking about his show Genuine Chit-Chat and next week he talks all about this show and his love of Star Wars: http://spoti.fi/3uus0PT Mike appeared on episode 76 Frank Burton's Ragbag podcast: http://spoti.fi/3aLgx5e Mike & Megan were on the Batman retrospective on 20th Century Geek, all parts are out where they discuss Batman '66, the Burtonverse movies, Mask Of The Phantasm & the Dark Knight trilogy, part 1 here: https://spoti.fi/3sTeN2m Find Mike @GenuineChitChat on Twitter, @Genuine_ChitChat on Instagram & /GenuineChitChat on Facebook! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/comics-in-motion-podcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/comics-in-motion-podcast/support
