We're blessed to hear from our East Jordan campus pastor, Jason Richey, this morning as he brings us the first message in a new series about how God wants us to view our priorities during the Christmas season. It's called "Christmas List". In this week's message, we're going to look into some often-overlooked details of the Christmas story, exploring why God chose shepherds and wise men to witness the birth of Jesus. These two groups, though vastly different in status and culture, shared one thing: they allowed their lives to be interrupted by God. This message challenges us to embrace divine interruptions and extend grace to those we least expect, just as Jesus did. As we prepare our hearts for the season, we're reminded of the unexpected beauty of God's plan and His invitation to all, no matter our background, to come and worship Him.

This week we're chatting with Baris Atmaca from Socks Kick, located in East Jordan. Baris has such a cool story, as he is originally from Turkey, and came to East Jordan as a Rotary exchange student in the early 2000s. He fell in love with the area and came back years later to run his socks manufacturing company in northern Michigan. We chat today about why he chose to run a business in northern Michigan when he could have gone to any big city, the local difference in terms of community support, and what makes his socks better.

Week 11 - For the holiday I got a Reefer load in Indianapolis and sat forever at the dock. However, on my second load of the week I delivered moldy Pork and Beans that got my trailer trashed. I finally got into northern Michigan to this town called East Jordan and it was a nice treat. Got to cross the I75 bridge going up into the NP and had a spectacular drive. Then came the big moving weekend as we finally get out of Fort Wayne and all the family drama. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/anthrit/support
