Jeff Maness – March 7, 2021 So often, our prayers never grow out of the personal and temporary nature of things. Sure, we can and should pray for our personal, even temporary needs. But prayer is not about getting more from God, prayer is about connecting more with God, and their are some specific prayers...
Do you keep God at the center of your life ... or at the edges? Do you have a desire to know Him better each day?

Every so often Zoe asks if she can get the mail. I think she asks with the hope that there will be a letter for her. She loves getting mail, although in today’s culture the use of snail mail is becoming less and less. I would argue, that even though letters were the one way of communication back in the first century, as Twitter and Facebook didn’t exist back then, the regularity that one receives an actual letter is about as often as sweet Zoe does, which isn’t very often at all! This week, we are going to take a look at Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. Paul wrote this letter while he was in prison, with the purpose of encouraging the believers to walk as fruitful followers of Christ, and to serve in unity and love in the midst of persecution. Although we are not a church that is facing persecution, we are a church who can use some encouragement to keep on going in the midst of our current situation (In general, every church can use such encouragement!). Join us as we look at Paul’s encouraging words where he begins his letter with a Thanksgiving for the church in Ephesus. It is my prayer that you will be encouraged this week to continue to stand strong in your faith as we discuss these words from the Apostle Paul.
