This episode dives into the brutal, mind-altering experience of spending 60 days alone in Antarctica, and how extreme suffering became a catalyst for spiritual awakening, peak performance, and deep inner peace. Watch this episode on YouTube for the full video experience: https://www.youtube.com/@DaveAspreyBPR Host Dave Asprey sits down with elite adventurer, Marine Corps veteran, and Fearvana founder Akshay Nanavati, who dragged a 420lb sled solo across Antarctica in a brutal test of endurance, fasting, and spiritual transformation. Akshay shares how he used suffering as a tool to transmute PTSD, expand consciousness, and awaken what he calls the “paradox of oneness”—where discomfort unlocks the deepest joy. Together, they explore how cold therapy, isolation, and extreme hardship reshape dopamine, mitochondria, neurochemistry, and the stories we tell ourselves. Akshay's journey through darkness retreats, trauma healing, and polar expeditions opens a raw and unfiltered look at self-quantification, mental resilience, and human performance at the edge. This episode will challenge your assumptions about comfort, suffering, and what it means to live fully awake. Whether you're optimizing for longevity, exploring consciousness, or breaking free from invisible scripts, this conversation blends science, spirituality, and hardcore biohacking with moments of unexpected humor and wisdom. You'll Learn: • How intentional pain resets your dopamine response and boosts performance • Why Akshay chose fasting and cold exposure over nootropics and psychedelics • How darkness retreats and solitude sharpen consciousness and intuition • The neuroscience behind pain, trauma, and transformation • Why true freedom lies in facing discomfort—not avoiding it • How to find God in suffering and create meaning from chaos Dave Asprey is a four-time New York Times bestselling author, founder of Bulletproof Coffee, and the father of biohacking. With over 1,000 interviews and 1 million monthly listeners, The Human Upgrade is the top podcast for people who want to take control of their biology, extend their longevity, and optimize every system in the body and mind. Each episode features cutting-edge insights in health, performance, neuroscience, supplements, nutrition, hacking, emotional intelligence, and conscious living. This episode was recorded back in January during the Los Angeles wildfires. And yes, we know it's been sitting in our spiritual junk drawer ever since. But consider this a karmic purge because this is the last episode from the archives and we are back on schedule after this! The backlog is fully cleared, the cosmic colonic worked, and our podcast feed has regular movements once again. In this episode, we embrace the chaos of the new year, talk about fire (actual and astrological), and examine why conspiracy theories have gotten dumber than ever. We also get real about personal evolution, sharing a practical framework for identity shifts (where you'll meet our alter egos, Lucky and Tippy) and we discuss what it actually takes to make lasting change when your life feels like it's on fire — figuratively or literally.Inside this episode:The astrology behind the LA fires and why your identity might feel like it's… unzipping itselfA complete evisceration of tunnel-based Hollywood fire conspiraciesWhy manifestation without a plan is just wishful griftingOur new favorite New Year's ritual involving AI and aesthetic phone wallpapersHow to build better habits without hating yourselfThe moment we debut our spiritual alter egos and probably start a whole new religionAlso: practical accountability, dumb TikToks, bad movies, good mindset shifts, and the gentle reminder that even though time is fake, the choices you make with the time you have are very real. From here on out, it's all fresh content. We have no rules and no episode notes in advance, just a free-flowing exchange of thoughts and emotions. It's an exploration of the outer banks of consciousness where untamed treasures are hidden away. We believe one sudden insight can hold immense value, far beyond most meticulously planned discussions. Each session is a unique encounter with chance as we defy routine and enjoy a spontaneous dance with spirituality. The Bṛhat-bhāgavatāmṛta mentions that devotees don't look for peace. They're not looking for peace of mind; they're looking to satisfy Kṛṣṇa. In the endeavor to satisfy Kṛṣṇa, there are many complex situations, and there are many anxieties. And on record, a devotee asked Prabhupāda, "Devotees sometimes are in great anxiety." For instance he gave the example of distributing books, "they are in so much anxiety about it." And Prabhupāda said, "Tell them that that is spiritual anxiety." Then he gave the example of Yaśodā. And he said, "Yaśodā is always in anxiety. There's never a time when she's Oṁ śānti śānti śānti." She's constantly worried, "Will Kṛṣṇa get into something in Vraj? He's playing with the calves and the cows, and are they getting into trouble somewhere?" For instance, Kṛṣṇa goes and steals from people's houses, and then Yaśodā gets called about it, "Your son's stealing!" And then Kṛṣṇa has this impish look on his face, and so forth. So, constant anxiety for Kṛṣṇa. One takeaway from just the threshold of entering into this cursing pastime is that these kinds of differences of opinion or anxieties or complexities happen in spiritual life because of the uniqueness of the soul and the unfolding Līlā of Kṛṣṇa. And so, we needn't be utopian in interpreting this and saying, "How could this ever happen?" As we will find out tomorrow and onward, from this pastime The Lord appears. And tomorrow, we find that there's more about the nature of the Kumāras and why they became angry and then, subsequently, last point I'll make is that their transformation. This is a pastime of transformation, and it's very important ,because throughout the Srimad Bhagavatam, we find this beacon of pure devotional service, which is directing us towards the highest position of life, which is to attain pure love for Krishna. And in the process, we find different kinds of people from different levels of consciousness. For instance, the Kumaras were at a level of undifferenced monism and they're about to be transformed into Krishna bhaktas. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

We recorded this episode in December 2024. We're releasing it in May 2025. Yes, we know. Time is fake. Calendars are a colonial construct. But astrology still slaps, even when it's late. We apologize for any outdated references in this episode, but we still wanted post it because this is the part of the year where things REALLY start to change. It's a great opportunity to reflect on the year thus far and stay prepared for what's coming next. This episode is an overview of the energetic architecture of 2025. We discuss the biggest planetary shifts, collective themes, and the existential whiplash that these historic astrology formations are unleashing. In this episode, we cover:Why 2025 is a preview of the next five yearsWhy Pluto in Aquarius is the era of aliens, AI, and collective uprising (and why drones might be the new oracles)How Saturn and Neptune moving into Aries will completely reshape our understanding of identity, imagination, and self-leadershipWhy Uranus in Gemini will make nerds hot again (sexy librarians, you're on deck!)What it means when every outer planet changes signs in such a short period of timeThe astrology behind class revolts and why corporate overlords should watch their backsAnd how you, dear listener, can pivot, strategize, and maybe even monetize your way through this cosmic paradigm shiftYou'll also hear us:Predict the weaponization of butt plugs for interdimensional travelPraise the rise of spiritual individualism and customizable capitalismDeclare the death of “cool” and the rebirth of authentic weirdnessAnd remind you (gently? lol no) that you're going to need to stay adaptable, resilient, and a little unhinged to ride this wave. This episode is chaotic, unscripted, and completely vital. Even if it's five months late. The astrology doesn't care when you listen. Just that you do.***************************P.S. PLEASE RATE OUR PODCAST AND SHARE IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!!
Send us a textHave you ever wondered where God is in the ordinary moments of your day? We explore that very question in this heart-level conversation about how every moment—yes, even the mundane ones—can become a sacred encounter. Together, we reflect on stories like the woman who touched Jesus' robe and the thief on the cross to reveal how God's presence often meets us not in grand events but in the smallest, most unexpected places. We talk about how every step can be a “thin place,” where heaven brushes earth, and how God can transform even a single second into a life-changing moment. We also dive into the difference between "Chronos" time—our packed, scheduled lives—and "Kairos" time, those divine appointments where God breaks through. Through gentle practices like breath prayers, sacred space scans, and pausing before reacting, we offer ways to recognize God's presence in your day. This episode is for anyone feeling rushed, scattered, or spiritually distant. You don't have to wait for perfect circumstances to experience God. Right here, right now—this very moment—you're already standing on holy ground.Support the showLearn more about our Revelation Within Community: https://www.revelationwithin.org
This sermon is part of a series on Colossians, focusing on verses 1:24-2:3. The central message emphasizes that 'Christ is enough' - a theme that runs throughout the entire book. Pastor Devin discusses Paul's perspective on suffering for the church, the mystery of Christ being revealed to the Gentiles, and the importance of warning and teaching in spiritual growth. The sermon highlights how the church historically grows through persecution and affliction, and emphasizes that true fulfillment can only be found in Jesus Christ. How does the concept of 'Christ is enough' challenge our modern tendency to seek fulfillment in other things? What role does suffering play in our spiritual growth according to this passage? How has persecution historically affected the growth of the church? Why do you think this is?What does it mean to have 'Christ in you, the hope of glory'?How can we balance both warning and teaching in our relationships with fellow believers? Why is it important to align our opinions with God's Word rather than trying to make God's Word align with our opinions? What does it mean to be weak so that Christ's power can be perfected in us?How can we practically demonstrate that Christ is enough in our daily lives?Support the show
We live in a world obsessed with “more.” More stuff. More success. More status. But Jesus warns us that a life full of possessions can still be empty in eternity. In this episode, we dive into The Parable of the Rich Fool, where Jesus exposes the subtle trap of greed and calls us to live lives that are rich toward God.

This sermon explores key theological themes from Colossians 1:15-23. Pastor Devin breaks down eight major theological concepts including Christology, Biblical cosmology, the supremacy of Christ, soteriology (salvation), ecclesiology (church doctrine), eschatology (end times), spiritual warfare, and theology proper. The passage emphasizes Jesus' divine nature, his role as creator and sustainer of all things, and his supremacy over all creation.Discussion Questions:What does it mean that Jesus is 'the image of the invisible God'?How does understanding Jesus as Creator affect your view of Him?What does it mean that 'by Him all things hold together'?Why is it important that Jesus is the head of the church? How does Jesus' blood bring reconciliation between God and humans? What does it mean to remain 'grounded and steadfast in the faith'?How do you distinguish between God's sovereign will and His relational will? What areas of your life need to be brought under Christ's supremacy?Support the show
Long time no talk! By talk, we mean screaming into the void. Put your headphones on -- we have a lot of catching up to do. We know. We disappeared. But like any good ghosting situation, we're returning with no explanation… except an entire episode of explanations. In our first episode since January, we blow the dust off our mics and confront who we thought we were before life sideswiped us with plot twists, spiritual detours, and 47 new existential crises. This comeback episode is equal parts cute and chaotic. Featuring six semi-structured segments (plus a fully unhinged AI narrator for no good reason whatsoever), we reflect on how we've changed since January, chew on the ways the world has changed, and hopefully we also make you feel a little bit better if your current bar for thriving is "I cried, but I scheduled it." Let's all trauma dump together into the abyss and hope the abyss claps back with some clarity, shall we? We're back. We missed you. New episodes are coming regularly. Let the emotional spirals commence. ***************************Podcast & Host Links:Clairannoyance InstagramClairannoyance TikTokClairannoyance WebsiteMegan's InstagramMegan's TikTokMegan's WebsiteRyan's InstagramRyan's TikTokRyan's Website
When Jesus returns, how will He recognize His true followers? It's not just about what we say we believe—it's about how we live it out. In this powerful episode, we dive into The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats and unpack Jesus' message about serving others as the ultimate act of faith.
Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every single day. We are in the Gospel of Mark. Go to the website and grab the Scripture Journal for this study so you can study along with us. I want to give a shout-out today to Tim Steinke from Menasha, WI. Go Packers! Thank you for being a monthly partner in Project23 and helping us share the Gospel with millions as we work our way through the entire Bible. Today, we're reading Mark 1:21-45: And they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath he entered the synagogue and was teaching. And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes. And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him. And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.” And at once his fame spread everywhere throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee. And immediately he left the synagogue and entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. Now Simon's mother-in-law lay ill with a fever, and immediately they told him about her. And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her, and she began to serve them. That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. And the whole city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him. And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. And Simon and those who were with him searched for him, and they found him and said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.” And he said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.” And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons. And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean. And Jesus sternly charged him and sent him away at once, and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, for a proof to them.” But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter. — Mark 1:21-45 Jesus walks into the synagogue and doesn't just teach—He commands. His words land differently. Not like the scribes. Not recycled thoughts or secondhand opinions. Jesus speaks with authority, and it stuns people. It's the kind of authority that silences demons and heals sickness with a touch. This is power and compassion, side by side. He speaks, and spirits flee. He touches, and sickness disappears. He lifts a woman by the hand—and she rises, healed, and starts serving. Jesus isn't just full of authority—He uses it to serve, not dominate. He doesn't flex to impress. He acts to restore. That's the kind of King He is. And word spreads. Fast. People start crowding the door. Sick, desperate, oppressed—everyone wants a moment with Jesus. But here's the key: the ones who encountered Him didn't just get relief, they experienced release. Not just healed from something—but freed for something. When Jesus shows up, things change. People don't stay the same. So, here's the question: Have you allowed his authority to change you? Not just inspire you—but actually disrupt, heal, and transform you? #JesusHeals, #SpiritualAuthority, #FaithOverFear ASK THIS: What do you notice about the way Jesus uses His authority? How does His power give you comfort instead of fear? Where do you need healing or freedom today? What's stopping you from bringing that to Jesus right now? DO THIS: Surrender an area of your life where you've been resisting Jesus' authority—ask Him to transform it today. The relationship between faith, love, and hope forms a powerful framework for Christian living, as revealed in Colossians. True godly love can only emerge from genuine faith, distinguishing itself from shallow, conditional human love. This faith-based love transforms relationships and situations with divine purpose and depth. Christian hope stands uniquely secured in heaven, providing stability regardless of worldly circumstances such as economic uncertainty or political turmoil.Spiritual growth requires dedicated knowledge of God's Word and will, achieved through regular Bible study, sound theological understanding, and the ability to discern truth from false teaching. While Christianity doesn't promise a pain-free existence, it equips believers with strength to endure difficulties, hope during trials, and power through the Holy Spirit. This combination of faith, knowledge, and hope enables Christians to maintain an eternal perspective during temporary struggles, serving as a powerful testimony to others.Support the show

Have you ever felt like you're not doing enough with what God has given you? In this episode, we explore the Parable of the Talents, where Jesus teaches us about stewardship, responsibility, and the importance of using our gifts for His glory.
The Journey Beyond Death – Part 11 opens our seven-part Near Death Experiences series with a powerful collection of firsthand journeys beyond the veil. These stories are not hearsay — they come from individuals who were clinically dead, crossed into another realm, and returned to transform the way we understand life, death, and what lies beyond. Leading NDE researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long, who has documented over 4,000 near-death experiences, shares stunning evidence that consciousness survives death. His research challenges the limitations of mainstream science and reveals consistent themes: overwhelming love, divine light, and a reality more vivid than this world. He recounts cases including a woman born blind who "saw" during her NDE, providing undeniable proof that our perception transcends the physical body. NDE survivor Peter Anthony, known as "The Accidental Prophet," describes traveling through a tunnel of rotating mathematical codes and faces from past lives, gaining profound downloads of universal knowledge. Bev Brodsky recounts meeting an angelic guide and merging with an all-knowing light — realizing that all souls are connected, and that love is the foundation of all existence. Finally, Betty J. Eadie, celebrated author of Embraced by the Light, shares her extraordinary encounter with Jesus and the heavenly realms. She describes a soul journey filled with infinite love, deep remembrance, and sacred revelations about why we incarnate on Earth. Betty's testimony stands as one of the most detailed and comforting maps of the afterlife ever shared, offering hope and clarity to anyone seeking to understand what truly happens after death. This episode challenges conventional thinking and invites listeners to step beyond fear — to embrace the reality that death is not an end, but a magnificent homecoming to unconditional love. ----------------------------- Featuring in order of appearance 01:00 – NDE Leading Researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long 28:06 - NDE Survivor Peter Anthony 39:27 – NDE Survivor Bev Brodsky 45:07 – NDE Survivor Betty Eadie ----------------------------- Dr. Jeffrey Long – Radiation Oncologist & NDE Researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long is a radiation oncologist and a leading authority on near-death experiences (NDEs). The Journey Beyond Death continues with Part 16 of its compelling 18-part series and marks the sixth installment in the eight-part segment focused on individuals who have had near-death experiences (NDEs). In this episode, we spotlight three extraordinary guests—Peter Bedard, Karyn Reece, and Howard Storm—each of whom crossed the threshold of life and death and returned with transformative insights that challenge everything we think we know about existence. Peter Bedard was just a teenager when a devastating accident flung him out of his body and into a realm of pure awareness. What he found there—a tunnel of spinning light, a mysterious guide resembling Lao Tzu, and a sense of overwhelming peace—shaped his life's mission. Today, Peter helps others heal emotional wounds through his method, Convergence Healing. Karyn Reece, a gifted psychic medium, shares her emotionally rich near-death experience involving a vibrant, otherworldly meadow and a reunion with passed loved ones. Despite her longing to remain in the afterlife, she was told she had more work to do. Her story touches on soul contracts, multidimensional awareness, and the thin veil between the living and the dead. Howard Storm's account is perhaps the most jarring. A former atheist, Howard describes a terrifying descent into darkness where hostile beings tormented him—until a desperate prayer summoned a radiant presence he identifies as Jesus. Rescued, shown a life review, and filled with divine love, Howard's journey became a spiritual reckoning that altered his path forever. --------------------------------- Featuring in order of appearance: 02:00 – NDE Survivor Peter Bedard 19:20 – NDE Survivor & Psychic Medium Karyn Reece 28:26 – NDE Survivor Howard Storm --------------------------------- Peter Bedard Peter Bedard is an NDE survivor, author, and healing expert who integrates science and spirituality to help people overcome trauma, anxiety, and chronic pain. Andrew Arndt is back on the podcast today. He's a pastor and author who's challenging how we typically understand the gospel. His new book, "A Strange and Gracious Light," explores what it means to see Jesus as a living presence that intersects with our real, complicated lives. We'll discuss how the gospel isn't just about personal salvation or afterlife insurance, but a transformative story that speaks directly into our current cultural moment - with all its complexity, pain, and potential. Andrew brings a fresh, albeit an ancient perspective on how Jesus encounters us in our everyday struggles, political tensions, and personal challenges. This conversation is about reimagining the good news of Jesus as something far more expansive and immediate than we've traditionally understood. We'll explore what it means to experience Christ's presence in a way that's both deeply personal and broadly transformative. So join us as we facilitate encounters with the living God. Andrew Arndt is the Lead Pastor of New Life East (one of seven congregations of New Life Church in Colorado Springs), where he also hosts the Essential Church podcast, a weekly conversation designed to strengthen the thinking of church and ministry leaders. Prior to joining New Life's team, he served as Lead Pastor of Bloom Church: a neo-monastic, charismatic, liturgical, justice-driven network of house churches in Denver. He received his MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, is working on his Doctor of Ministry at Western Theological Seminary, and has written for Missio Alliance, Patheos, The Other Journal, and Mere Orthodoxy. He lives in the Springs with his wife Mandi and their four kids.Andrew's Book:A Strange and Gracious LightSubscribe to Our Substack: Shifting CultureConnect with Joshua: jjohnson@allnations.usGo to www.shiftingculturepodcast.com to interact and donate. Spiritual transformation isn't about bypassing the hard stuff—it's about leaning into your emotions with curiosity and compassion. You have the power to define your healing, transform your story, and create a life rooted in awareness and self-worth.
You've been invited to the Kingdom of God… but are you actually ready to step in? In this episode of Your Energy Booster Podcast, we're breaking down:
The Cross & Resurrection Change Everything | Easter at Burnt Hickory What if the final words of Jesus on the cross—"It is finished"—hold the key to your freedom today? This Easter message explores how these three words changed everything, not just for those who witnessed the crucifixion, but for everyone seeking hope, healing, and transformation in their lives now. Key Insights: 1. The Meaning of "Tetelestai" - Jesus' final declaration was used by servants reporting completed tasks, artists finishing masterpieces, and priests confirming sacrifices—all pointing to how Jesus fully satisfied our debt of sin. Mary's Journey from Grief to Joy - Mary came to the tomb seeking closure, not resurrection. Her encounter with the risen Jesus transformed her sorrow into purpose, demonstrating how Jesus can "put you back together" regardless of your struggle. The Resurrection's Transformative Power - The disciples went from hiding in fear to becoming the foundation of Christian faith because of "none other than the undisputed resurrection of King Jesus." This message explores how the historical events of Easter continue to impact lives today. Whether you're seeking to understand how much Jesus loves you, considering giving your life to Him, or finding yourself "in a deep, dark, heavy moment" needing to come back to faith, discover how the cross and resurrection offer more than religious tradition—they provide the power to transform your story completely. What does it really mean to deny yourself in today's world? In this powerful episode, Pastor Ken Senchal takes us into three unforgettable moments in Jesus' final hours:
Palm Sunday unfolded against a backdrop of intense Roman oppression, where the Jewish people faced brutal taxation, public executions, and cultural suppression. Their desperate hope for a military messiah, similar to Judah Maccabee, led them to misinterpret Jesus' entry into Jerusalem as a political statement. However, Jesus consistently challenged these expectations by presenting a radically different vision of God's kingdom.Jesus demonstrated that God's kingdom operates contrary to worldly power structures. Instead of military might, He emphasized humility and peace. Rather than immediate revolution, He taught that the kingdom grows quietly like a mustard seed and transforms gradually like yeast. His teachings focused on serving others, loving enemies, and rejecting self-promotion in favor of lifting others up.This understanding of God's kingdom continues to challenge believers today. It calls for examining personal expectations about Jesus, seeking opportunities to serve rather than gain, and embracing the counter-cultural nature of divine love. The kingdom of God manifests not through personal empowerment but through self-emptying love that transforms both individuals and communities.Support the show

Living as a saint means actively participating in God's kingdom work through sincere love and humble service. This involves loving without conditions, taking emotional risks, and being willing to have difficult conversations when necessary. True Christian love holds others accountable while considering them more important than ourselves, demonstrating genuine care without expecting anything in return. This lifestyle requires avoiding spiritual laziness while maintaining fervor in serving God. Christians are called to share with those in need, pursue hospitality, and live in harmony through humility. When faced with persecution, the response should be blessing rather than revenge, maintaining peace whenever possible, and focusing on eternal matters. This includes practical actions like helping enemies and viewing the world through Scripture's perspective rather than conforming to worldly patterns.Support the show

In this sermon from Hebrews 8, Pastor Benjamin Kandt explores the profound truth that God doesn't just manage the gap between heaven and earth—He closes it through Jesus. Drawing from the imagery of the tabernacle, Pastor Ben shows how God's desire has always been to dwell with His people. Just as Moses was commanded to build a tent patterned after heaven, we too are called to “heavenize” earth by following Jesus and forming communities of disciples who embody God's presence. The church, made up of living stones, becomes the spiritual house where heaven meets earth—not through bricks and rituals, but through Spirit-formed lives. The sermon also unpacks the better promises of the new covenant: new hearts, new belonging, new intimacy, and new mercy. Unlike the old covenant, which revealed the gap but couldn't bridge it, the new covenant transforms us from the inside out by the Holy Spirit. This indwelling presence of God is the ultimate gift, empowering us to reflect heaven in our workplaces, relationships, and communities. Pastor Ben reminds us that we're not just attending church—we are the church, the dwelling place of God Himself, being formed into a palace where He desires to live.
