But it is only when we start to see ourselves the way God sees us that we will to discover who we really are and be able to step into freedom.

This is not about working really, really hard, trying to be a better person, because what you do will flow out of who you are. So, the first step into freedom is having a right view of who you are and a right view of who God is. Therefore, it's essential that we have a right view of who God is and a right understanding of how God sees you. And the best picture we get of God in the Bible is found in the parable, the pointed story, that Jesus tells, in Luke 15:11-24, about a father.
