It’s been a long time since the last podcast at Riffing On Wrestling, so here’s a brand new one for you, recorded with my old Fighting Spirit Magazine colleague and It Could Be Said author Will Cooling. On this no-notes show we discuss WWE in the Nick Khan era and where that leaves Paul Levesque in the WWE pecking order, and get into a fascinating discussion about why each side is so vehement in their delight or revulsion towards All Elite Wrestling. Brian Elliott from HardCopy.ie joins WH Park on the Long & Winding Royal Road to talk about a match with many ramifications for All Japan Pro Wrestling: Toshiaki Kawada vs. Akira Taue from the 1993 Champion Carnival. Brian was the editor of the excellent Fighting Spirit Magazine based out of the UK and is a massive fan of All Japan of the ‘90s. He and WH share their thoughts on the match but spend most of their time discussing the backgrounds of Kawada, Taue and their later formation of the Holy Demon Army.
